While many of us are eating Christmas dinner with family and friends, the wolves at the sanctuary enjoy a holiday feast of their own- a fully feathered Christmas goose! It started a few years ago when we received a call from a USDA Wildlife Services agent who had taken our Wildlife Handling course. His agency culled hundreds of Canadian geese in the Seattle area and wanted to know if we would be interested in some for the wolves.

We had never given the wolves geese before. They did, though, have experience with fully feathered chickens so we thought that surely they would enjoy the geese as well.  And boy were we right! 2. Absolutely fabulous Christmas for the wolves!! It was lovely to read about them as you made a donation on behlaf of Nylablue & I for the season.

  9. We love wolves so we will go check out the site. Happy Wednesday to you and your family sweet Savannah. Hugs and nose kisses

  10. Loved the post, although some, I suspect, will find it objectionable. If the geese have to be culled out and killed, it might as well serve some purpose. Wolves have to eat too.

  11. We enjoyed reading about the wolves and their geese! :) Thank you for sharing, Savvy!

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
