Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Feline Delicate Paws for Packing

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Everyone knows, all cats have very dainty, delicate paws. We can be totally trusted to help with the packing and handling of the most delicate of items…including the humans’ most cherished china and crystal…right?

What? You don't trust me in here?

What? You don’t trust me in here?

I have no idea why Mom L was so startled to turn around and find me in the very special china buffet helping pass out all the delicate crystal and whatnot. Seriously…look at my ‘white paw’ service.

Why yes, I can paw this china to you Mom L

Why yes, I can paw this china to you Mom L

Sadly, she did finally ask me to take a hike leave…so I did. See if I ever try to help her pack again….harrumpppfffff!

I’d trust you with the china, Savannah. But I wouldn’t trust you with the boxes! Cats have a habit of going to sleep in them and no one wants to close you in a box!

  2. It’s strange how humans care about almost useless things sometimes…
I missed you Savannah! How have you been doing?
    Purrs

    • Texas, Kitshka and Milou you have all been sorely missed as well. And as this is Linda now writing, Carine I miss you lots my friend. Did you know I won TWO new award category certificates this year at Blog Paws? You can see the badges on my sidebar. One was for Exceptional Series of Blog Posts and the other was for a team of three of us who have been collaborating writing AdventurCat stories so the award was given to all three of us: Excellence in a Collaborative Blog Effort. I was stunned to say the least. I had to leave a day early so I was not even at the Nose to Nose Award dinner. I hope you and hubby are well and loving living and working in Austin. Please send me an email one day when you have a bit of time. We leave this Tuesday for 3 weeks in the Baltic region but I will have wifi access on the ship. miss you, hugs, Linda and Savvy and now The Kid Sage aka Sage

I’s sad how some people can’t accept help when it is generously offered.

I just noticed your two Blogpaws award icons — Congratulations to you, Dash, & Nissy! Your friend Dinah, RWB (reader without blog.)

We ran a special post yesterday about moving with pets. It did not, however, have any advice regarding having your pet help you pack. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  14. LOL it’s funny because my cats DO NOT have delicate paws or anything delicate about them!!! They lay on window ledges, then fall asleep there, and fall off of them all the time! hahaha! there is no way I would let them near anything expensive LOL!

Totally unfair sweetie. She should have accepted your help and thanked you. Humans just don’t appreciate our help many times.

  16. Some nerve! We bet you could do a better packing job than a human!

Silly Mom L! She acts like you’re Hitch or someone. I am also very light paw’ed….but our HuMom says Hitch is the only kitty she knows that can put twice his weight on each paw as he tromps across a person. Although, out of the four of us, only Hitch can turn on most faucets. To HOT, of course. He wants to be sure to waste water and power. Oh well, just make sure your things get packed correctly. That’s what truly count! Purrs!

  21. What, your white paw service got turned down? That’s just rude.

  22. fortunately you are a cat and you have super sensible paws … imagine a dog like me in a china cabinet…

  23. Dey just don’t appreciate nuffin.

  24. We would totally trust you with our best china – if we kittehz had any.
    MOL!

  25. she just want’s you to take it easy Savvy,Sorry I haven’t been around much, grandpa has left now so hopefully we will be around more,xx SPeedyxx Speedy

  26. MOL!! If I did that Savvy I’m afraid I would get the same treatment! Some folks are just NOT grateful!!

  27. She does not distrust you, she wants to stop you because she fears for your health: Those things are heavy!

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
