At Last Some Sun
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
In case some of my readers do not know it, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we have been in a big ole’ drought for like about five years. Well, Mom Nature has been tryin’ to get us moving toward ending this drought with her weather pattern in the last week.
We have had rain and more rain and now all the dirt is soaked and sayin’ “NO MORE MOM NATURE!”
So as you can see, I was delighted and calmed to finally have a sun puddle all to myself. I am sitting behind Mom L’s printer stand. I learned last year that Mom Nature provides a very nice sun puddle in this one spot during our Winter months. Can you see my reflection?
Hope you are finding some sun puddles in your week too.
PAW PATS, SAVANNAH
PeeEss—You can click to bigify the Momma Kat graphic to remind you of her story. She is beginning to be more and more social. We think she may have been a feral kitty, only 1 1/2 years or so old when found with her five kittens in May 2016. If so, then she is showing remarkable recovery and socialization progress. Please keep her in your thoughts.
I can’t believe all this rain we’re getting! So much that my balcony didn’t know what to do and is now leaking into our downstairs. Oh well, hopefully it’s putting a dent in this drought!
We had snow here on Sunday and LOTS OF IT, too. Monday was super cold. -12c when the peep was out in the afternoon. Today, Tuesday, has brought blue skies and sunshine. Tomorrow it’s supposed to rain. MOUSES!

We’ve been watching the weather reports, and ooh boy, you have really been getting a lot of precipitation! We’re glad you got some sunpuddles to enjoy today. 🙂
Hugs!
ooooh we’re ever so envious of your sunpuddle – there were none here today!
Sun puddles are great!! They don’t last here, though! A belated happy gotcha day to you and TKS 🙂 xxx
Hi, Savvy! That’s quite a lovely sun puddle you found.
Pawsome for the sun puddle. Right now it’s too cold by the window for me to sit by it. We’re getting snow instead of rain. Love ya BFGF.
bummer BFGF! I know you are getting snow and that makes the window sooooo cold! We are 45 at 6PM which is cold for us. Mom turned her electric blankie on low so’s I can snuggle on it. We are getting hammered supposedly tomorrow with lots of wet from Mom Nature!
I am glad you got some sun. It breaks my heart that Momma still doesn’t have a forever home, I wish I could adopt her.
No sunpuddle expected this weekend. Rain and lots of it they say. Cuddles with the mom is in the plans.
Emma and Buster
Enjoy yor sun puddle. It doesn’t look like I will be getting any for a while.
Wonderful ! Enjoy the sun ! Purrs
Enjoy that sun sweet girl! We are supposed to get 5 inches of snow here in the South…should be quite entertaining!
Brian!! That is NOT what I’d call ‘entertainin’ buddy! brrrr!!
How pawsome you finally got some sun, Savannah. When it rains, it pours, right??
So fun! At my house there’s snow on the ground, but sun puddles all over the living room! Perfect combination.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
We sure are glad that you’re no longer in a drought, Savannah, but we’re also glad that you finally have some lovely sun! Soak it up! And, we are of course purring and praying for Momma Kat! Her strength and her story are such an inspiration.
Did you hear Mammoth is suppose to get 20 feets of snow!

Sun is wonderful after days of clouds……..we keep hoping Momma and her babies get their FOREVER HOME……her story is remarkable.
Love, Angel Sammy
Oh I hope for some sun puddles too… currently we have to deal with frozen roads what is totally uncommon here…. and we are sunshine drivers and can’t handle slippery roads :o)
One can never have enough sun puddles. But you’re looking awfully gorgeous in yours, Savvy!
It has been raining quite a bit down here too, but I hear you guys up north are getting the brunt of it!
It’s winter over here – if it is sunny, it is chilly! Clouds are the only way to stop the cold from freezing us.
I am so sorry I just found several of your comments in my spam folder!!?? that has never happened with your comments. Thank you for you loyal readership. Happy New Year!!
Enjoy the warmth Savvy,we have rain today and cloudy for the next few days,xx Speedy
Glad ya finally got some sun!
Enjoy your sun puddle! We know all about that kind of weather and went from droughts to floods here a few years ago!
