All about me!
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
I decided I wanted to write a bit about me and share some photos Mom L took that capture my REAL SELF pretty darn great! As some of you know, I have had irritable bowel disease for several years. Unfortunately I was struggling to care about eating and then I started to barf up my food again in the last couple of months. So I am now getting one dose a day of stuff that goes on my ear called prednisolone. One day I get my right ear jammed with this stuff and the next day I get my left ear all messed up with it. It goes without saying, I am no happy cat when this goes on.
I’m thinkin’ my “look” gets straight to the point of just how I feel after having my ears messed with. What do you think?
Dad P has taken the kindness to notice that my old bones are getting more and more arthur-it-ick. And I have decided to move to his chair in the living room for my afternoon nap. So Dad P did the nicest thing! He turned on his reading light and puts it over me and lowers it just enough so’s I get the little lamp’s warmth. Isn’t he the best Dad P ever??!!
You can see I am totally happy with my new heating light! Do you have your own heating lamp too?
I LOVE THE CAT!!
Artificial sun puddles! How great is that!! The best!
I, Angel Pipo was getting ear meds for helping me to eat, too, but I was allergic to the gel, so I had to go back to the pills. At least petcretary said I was really easy to give pills to, way easier than getting liquid meds into me, MOL!
When my old bones were hurting, I got glucosamine and boswellia and MSM. helped quite a bit.
I need to make sure that my cat Jake doesn’t find out that you have a heat lamp, he’ll be so jealous.
Savvy, Mom came over to check out your lovely pictures. from Seville’s recommendation. You sure are beautiful and lucky with that lamp. Sorry about your IBS and the ear medicine. But I bet it is better than pills!
Oh hey Angel Simba!! *waves paw*. Thank you so much from coming by to visit!
Peeps stickin’ stuff in your ears is never fun. You do that thing where you flatten your ear, afterwards, while kinda pushin’ it back at the same time? Then you shake your head as hard as you can to shake the icky ear stuff out but no matter how hard you shake, it doesn’t come out on account of ear stuff usually bein’ sticky or somethin’ and stickin’ to the insides of your ears? That’s what I do. Yuk. MOUSES!
MOUSES!! Is right Seville! And now two times a week they poke a needle in my skin and let this warm fluid stuff trickle under my skin. YUK!!! Peeps!!!
We call that “going to Miami” — glad you’re feeling better. My Hanna has IBD also —
Hi Savannah not much fun having stuff put in your ears you’re very brave. What a kind caring dad you have. Sending hugs and Purrs.x😻💖🐾
Aww, Dad P is definitely DA BEST, Savvy! XO
Hi Savvy! We are glad that the medicine does what it is supposed to, but too bad it messes up your ears! You know Mom bought Nellie a heated cat bed for her arthritis. I would turn off when she was not lying in it. Your Dad is the the best, lights are terrific for keeping you warm too! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
Savannah we think that having your ears messed with rates right up there with other yucky stuff but if you can eat… That is the proof it helps. Your Dad is supurr! What a nice thing to do!
We all do what we can. I’m sure Nami would like a heat lamp but she has a selection of heating pads around the house instead. Those heat lamps can get hot and I’d hate for one of our birds to get burned trying to perch on it. But yes! I’m so glad that y’all found a solution for Savannah to stay warm. It’s hard for older kitties.
That is so sweet of your Dad. We have a heating pad and a heated blanket, but no heat light.
That heat lamp is genius. I use blankets and sweaters and jammies, but I would like a lamp. And some cuddles. Just saying…
Love and licks,
Cupcake
I don’t have a heating lamp but the mom got me a heated bed…one that plugs in and stays warm all the time. I LOVE it! ~Ernie
You don’t look happy, but the pictures do highlight your beautiful eyes. Paws up to your Dad. Sometimes humans go above and beyond. Purrs, Snoops and Kommando Kitty
Savvy we send purrayers and Power of the Paw that you feel better even when you don’t like the ear mudging. (You wouldn’t like to have to swallow something yucky either would you ?)
Your Dad was great to fix you up a warm spot for you to rest on ! Purrs !
I hope you are eating okay with that ear rub stuff sweet Savvy and your heating lamp is purrfect! Purrs from all of us.
We have to rely on sun puddles, but we have lots of them most of the time and there is always Mom’s heating pad, neck thing that heats, heated throws and heated blankets when the sun is MIA. Scylla gets a treat called Flexadin Advanced with UC II for her Arthritis.
We think your look shows how hissed off you are about the ear problem.
You dear girl. How wonderful to be so loved.
I wouldn’t like my ears messed with either, but it’s better than the alternative. Your humans are so kind and thoughtful, I’m not surprised about the extra care for your newest sleeping spot.
That is furry kind of your Dad to set up a Heating Lamp just for You, Savannah! What thoughtful and considerate Staff you have!
And you look furry cosy and comfy in Dad’s chair. Er – We mean “Savannah’s Chair”…
your dad is da best.. he made a sun just for you :O)
