Monday Brings Heavy Hearts…
Mom and I have very, very heavy hearts today…I can’t go without celebrating the life of a wonderful cat named Grouik. We all know his step brother, Texas, A Cat in New York, sadly we have learned that Grouik was killed by a car, we believe on Saturday…right after we had read his wonderful post about being a “Chippie Hunter” extraordinaire…
Our purrrrsss and healing paws go to Texas and his other step brother Milou and their HuParents…run swift to the Rainbow Bridge Sweet Grouik…my sister and brothers before me, Boris, Popcorn and Tasha are there waiting to show you the way….#pawcircle #grouiksporch #rideforgrouik….

OMD, we’re deeply saddened to read of Grouik’s crossing the Rainbow Bridge. We know Koko, our golden girl, will have open heart and open paws…
ahhh yes…that will be nice Jet. Please be sure a comfort Texas nad Miss Carine letting them know KoKo will be there just for Grouik so he won’t be alone at first. very sad
It is always so sad when we hear of one of the sweet furries crossing the Bridge. Grouik was a very handsome cat. Hugs and nose kisses
very sad huh Chancy? I am glad he was older ‘cuz at least he lived like he wanted to, being outside and hunting. It just isn’t safe outside for us cats if we are not closely supervised or wearing a harness…wish I had learned to wear a harness as a kitten, too late now…but I don’t even try to go out…I like it safe!

So sorry to hear about Grouik. My purrs go out to his parents. I know he is well on the Bridge, but it’s those left behind who feel the loss.

Oh yes. I did email my approval, but here it is again. Have at Savannah. She has a “most embarrassing” photo on One Spoiled Cat blog for Sammie’s contest that I think is one of her funniest photos. She couldn’t get her little chunky butt in the hole at the top of her three tunnel toy. MOL

Hi Savannah…..very sad and we saw the post on Texas’ blog and told them how very sad the news made us. We worry so much about kitties who love to “wander” – Grouik had always loved hunting and visiting and going on “hikes” in all the wonderful places he’d lived in his 14 years – so it was natural he’d do it in his new home in NY after traveling here from Paris with his family…..I’m so very sad he didn’t come home over the weekend but had a horrible accident with a car. I know how very very sad his family is. Those of us who follow Texas’ blog mourn with them………

I’m so sorry to hear about Grouik….he was very pawgeous kitten…we fell in love with him soon after we saw his pictures on texas’s blog…enjoyed reading about his flight from paris to ny and pizza story and picture made us laugh…we’ll miss Grouik…
I’m very upset to read this. I’m upset that any cat with a forever home is allowed to go out as things like this can happen.
CK…I dont know how to not offend others, but my Mom and Dad agree…and if you have ever visited Leader Otis on the Blog of Otis, that is his mission…to help people understand that the outside, uncontrolled, is no longer safe for us cats Thank you CK
