Do You Perform Stair Troll Duties?
HIYA !! SAVANNA HERE!!!
I remember back years ago when the gang at Katnip Lounge called my preference for sitting on the stairs my “Stair Troll Job”. And here I am, still at it!
Caught me! Resting my eyes on the job
OH, well, at least in that first photo I was gettin’ ready to ‘start’ my duties as Stair Troll. Here I am now, eyes wide open (almost) performing my “Stair Troll Job” while also enjoying a delish’ sun puddle.
See? I am so on duty…eyes are open even if squinting

That is a great vantage point to keep an eye on everything Savvy. I have a blanket chest at the top of the stairs that I use.
Getting to enjoy a very nice sun puddle while doing your duty, now that is the life sweet Savannah. Hugs and nose kisses

Ahhh…sounds very nice Mr Puddy Puddy. You clearly are an outdoor kitty. You see, we never go outside. Too much danger with other unkind humans, cats, coyotes and such. Thank you ever so much for coming to visit

Several of us perform that duty with regularity. We like to lie on the stairs and stick our heads through the spindles so we can spy on what is going on downstairs. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Do you monitor the stairs for a certain little cat trying to get past you? Sometimes we have a secret password for the stairs. If the other cats don’t know the password they are not getting past the stair troll. Winter sun puddles are wonderful. They make the humans and cats feel good. Enjoy your sun puddle. It’s an impawtant job – taking care of/monitoring stairs (especially if the best sun puddles land there!) is part of what we do…….I love our stairs!

We have great stairs, but Binga and I are only occasional stair trolls. Boodie shirks off on that job.
It is important to have stairs with carpet. If yours don’t then it can be a hard place to spend ,ich time Summer

We wish the Sun could shine on our stairs. But, sadly they are always dark. Our HuMom says, “oh boo hoo, make do with the large picture windows on the east, south and west sides of the house.” Someone thinks they heard her call us meowing crybabies! Just because we don’t think it’s fair to force 4 kitties to share 3 picture windows. Someone always gets stuck in on of the smaller bedroom windows. Maybe we’ll strike until we get sun on our stairs!
MOL!! Careful Mistletoe or you will be stuck with the little window. Maybe you can get Mom to have a special, Mistletoe window only, installed?
