How Experienced Cats Pack

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Just thought I outta let my readers learn from all my experience with moving. I have lived with Dad P and Mom L for five and a half years. This will be my third time moving from one HRH Savannah’s castle to another. That’s right, three times in five years. Kitties let me tell ya I know how to pack! And I know how much energy the move will cost me—the Princess.

This is an accounting of a full day of packing boxes.

Zzzzzz…snork…zzzzz…

Please notice how often this kitty’s paws move to help the humans pack up our stuff.

Note the slight paw hug one hind paw is giving the other

That hug is because those paws are nappin’ paws. Now check out how busy my front paws are.

Not much happenin’ with my front paws…see my sweet snoozin’ face?

And now take a look at my darling little hind paw with the light filtering through my pristine white furs. Again, not one single fur is moving.

Check out my clean pink toe pad…I haven’t broken a sweat yet

There you have my first lesson in how to move from one Kitty Castle to another. I know I will be able to share more lessons learned as a “Cat On the Move”. Our move date is coming up in a few weeks. Lots of action here in my current castle. And of course I will allow TKS to share some of her own insights for Cats On the Move because this is her second move.

So what can my readers share in comments about your own experiences as cats and woofies “on the move”?

PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

  1. I have moved about 6 times, before I came to live with Granny and Grandpaw, and only once since then. Granny promised me that this is our furrever home, so no more moves for me 🙂 Now let me kiss that cuddly paws of you before I go to kiss mine…MOL 😀 Double Pawkiss for you and TKS 🙂 ❤

GIRL. You sure do know how to pace yourself! ~ Allie

(so sorry we’ve been AWOL. Learning how to manage this disease with all its ups and downs has life so unpredictable, it makes our ability to visit sporadic, so when we are able I try to go back and catch up as much as possible! )

  4. Oh my mouses, Savvy, you are a SEASONED mover, for sure. I’ve never moved ‘cept for when I first came here to live with the peeps and actually, it’s quite possible that I moved here in a movin’ van. At least that’s what the peeps think. purrs

  6. Most excellent advice, and every Palace is different so it pays to conserve energy too, for checking the new surroundings before the unpacking begins.

  7. We are getting ready to move but it is in the same home just to downstairs. I have shown the whole family your lesson and we have taken it to kitty heart. MOL

  8. What adorable little paws!!!! I recently just moved too! I helped by barking and growling at the movers and then I slept on the couch the whole time!

  9. Oh, sweet Savvy we love your way of packing and getting all ready to move. Your little feets and toesies are so cute. Happy moving. Hugs and nose kisses

  10. I ain’t never moved except when I came here. The peeps keep talking (joking?) about moving to the old human’s home across the street. I hope they’re just joking.

You are an expert. Such cute toes too.

  12. Mom and I moved into our new apartment a little over a month ago. You’re doing a great job of packing, S. Just be sure there are a few boxes with your name on them – your foods, toys, and treats need to be marked and ready to roll on day one.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  13. I am impressed. Yep you sure know how to pack. I hope Mum and Dad take a breath, grab a glass and unWINEd at the end of each day.

See you in the new house girls (and Dad!!)

  14. Savannah, please! Don’t work so hard packing. You might hurt yourself. 😉

We hope you LOVE your new castle we have been lucky and have no experience with moving. Mommy says she hopes she never has to move as it is a lot of work. The part she liked least was house hunting every time she found a castle she wanted and could afford, someone else snapped it up first. In fact someone tried to snap our current castle up after we already had a contract and a check in escrow. They offered the people selling the house more money and they tired to break the contract. Mommy had to threaten to call a lawyer to keep the house. As it was we liked to never got the people who sold the house out of it, they kept delaying their move.

  20. I’ve never moved with my human… although I did move from my breeder’s home to my human’s home. That was weird! I had NO idea what was going on.
