It’s Not A Secret Anymore!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I simply have no idea why Mom L and Dad P kept talking about how Sage and I have this “Secret Santa Paws“!

Why he and his woofie brother are no secret to us at all!!

Yes, our so called Secret Santa Paws for 2014 is none other than our buddy Cody from Cat Chat With Caren and Cody!! and his woofie brother Dakota.

So a great big THANK YOU to Cody, Dakota and Miss Caren.

This was no ordinary package, that’s for sure. You see it arrived WRAPPED, not in that old brown cardboard we sent ours off in. (hover over photo to view complete caption)

The instant we opened it we knew  this package was filled with wondrous goodies!!!

It’s from Cody and Dakota!!

The Kid Sage just could not keep from doing a ‘box sit test’ in the wrapping paper once it was removed. You see, she couldn’t figure out that the box still was full and she was just sitting in the wrapping paper!!! Silly Cat!

What? It’s NOT a box!!

I left the unwrapping to The Kid Sage, this was her first ever Secret Santa gift exchange. Last year she had only been with us for month as a foster to adopt kitty. As you can see one year later, that strategy was very successful for her.

Mom L made sure to let me review some of the toys and what not. I had to use the stink eye on TKS to make sure she knew we were sharing these; they don’t all belong to her…heh…heh.

If you look closely, you can tell my left eye was still a bit swollen. I had an infection in my left eye that kept me pretty much under the weather for about ten days.  It started right when Mom L went to the hospital for her knee replacement and then she finally realized I wasn’t just being a good nurse by staying close to her when she came home. She alerted Dad P to the fact that I was feeling really unwell. Anyway, I had conjunctivitis and had to go to the vet for some meds. I am doing great now.

There were even TWO brand new, made just for cats, paper bags!! Wait ’til you see what The Kid Sage did with hers during her FIRST play time with it…crazypants cat!

I hope you enjoyed seeing the wonderful things sent to us by Cody and Dakota. It was just the best Secret Santa Paw ever and Sage is having a blast test driving everything. Thank you Cody and Dakota for making our holiday brighter.

NOTE: We had this package well before the holiday, but we waited to make sure Cody was feeling really well and the road to recovery from his illness before we posted about his package. We wanted him to feel well enough to be able to look at the photos.

And this is the first blog post Mom L has tried to write even though she is still taking heavy duty pain meds. Our friend, Miss Julie from Sometimes Cats Herd You proofed this to make sure Mom L didn’t use any HBO words or make a bunch of mistakes. She is prone to typos right now. Heck, this post took her like TWO hours to finish! She kept having to make corrections…heh…heh. So please give us a break as we try to slowly come back to blog posts created ‘in the moment’. Thanks lots

NEWS ALERT!!!

Saturday, January 3rd, 2014 is my THIRD GOTCHA DAY and it is THE KIDS SAGE’S FIRST GOTCHA DAY!

We thought it would be more fun to share a Gotcha Day so last year, Mom L and Dad P made sure that Sage’s official date of adoption was the same as mine. We suspect she really wanted to keep the number of blog post parties down to a dull roar! 

I don’t post on Saturdays…but I will this Saturday…hope you can come over for some munchies and fun. Not fancy this year, but a close furriend made our cakes and they are really special. Hope to see you at the munchie table January 3rd for our Gotcha Days celebration.
