Smudgy Selfie

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I had Mom L use two different filters in Photo Shop Elements after she did some airbrush work using Pic Monkey. I think I am liking this selfie a whole bunch. What do you guys think?

This is my Savannah stare—intense huh?

Who Stole the Light?

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

And here we are again this month—back for another PET BLOGGER BLOOPER round up. This is a blog hop sponsored by The Lazy Pit Bull,  so join the fun and share you own special bloopers for April.

Given Mom L’s lack of photographic skills, this topic is not new to me. Nope, not at all. And even though I know, that she knows, we need background natural light, our living conditions do not always provide the perfect setting.

But, seriously, you’d think she could at least do better than these—na’ mean??

Where or where is the kitty?

Where or where is the kitty?

Even with the addition of some editing using Photo Shop Elements, this is the best she could do.

OH!! There IS a cat in this photo!!

OH!! There IS a cat in this photo!!

So then Mom L tried again, and again, and yet again…this is the last result. Sad, so sad, but there you have it—the blooper of the year—except for her final attempt during this “photo shoot”.

Is there a cat in this house?

Is there a cat in this house?

Again, even with PSE edits, this is the best she could do.

And here I am, totally out of focus and so much more!

And here I am, totally out of focus and so much more!

Sadly, those were her best attempts. Now I ask you all, how many times has your human forgotten to take their smart phone out of “camera mode” and then stuck that opposable thumb right on that clicky button??? Come on, fess up, tell me the truth and provide links to the evidence please. We all need to view the results of such human failure.

And this is supposed to be WHAT???

Woofie in a Cat Trap?

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

The woofie in a cat trap is hopefully gonna be up for adoption soon. Here is this guy’s back story. A #HappyTailsEnding brought to you as another Paw It Forward project.

*doodly, doot’n, doodle—doodly, doot’n, doodle—cell ring*

“Hello, Savannah here. Oh hi Miss Lisa, let me meow for Mom L, hang on—Moooommm!! Ok Mom. (back to Miss Lisa) ummm—Miss Lisa, she is sayin’ the same thing to you she always says to me—hang on a minute”

And there you have the beginning of the story.

Miss Lisa volunteers with Homeless Animal Lifeline Organization (HALO) in their TNR program.

I think she is one of their trapper extraordinaire persons! She has devoted the last two plus years of her life to humanely managing the exploding community cat population in the east part of my county—one cat at a time and sometimes 30 at a time!! There are approximately 170,000 community cats in that area of my county alone.

Now about the woofie in the cat trap. Miss Lisa is trapping at a few mobile home parks and one of them asked her to trap a little woofie who had been living off of outdoor cat food for about a month. She trapped him, managed to get him neutered, vaccinated, and had a small fatty tumor removed from his front chest.

Miss Lisa needed someone to transport the woofie over to Berkeley Humane Society  (BHS) for them to put him through a behavior assessment and a medical assessment.

Just snoozing away the whole car ride

They are about forty five minutes from our home. Mom L had already contacted the Director, Mr. Jeffrey, to set up the assessments. We were hoping they might take him and find him a new home.

Mom L had to wait for the assessments so she spent some time checking out the cats who were on site for Adoption Day.

Oh Hi lady! Wanna check out my paws n claws?

Mr. Gray was having a great ole big stretch.

Check out my bright green eyes, nice, huh?

Next cage proves that adult cats are far more comfy when on exhibit in a quiet environment, unlike most pet supply large store settings.

I can see you lady—go on—this is my good profile

Just one more visit then Mom L had to dash to learn the assessment results for the woofie.

I am not here—I am power thinking my way to my home

Alas, woofie appears to have some other medical challenges, neurological which may be affecting his balance and his hind quarters are starting to atrophy, etc. He is over eight years old so some medical challenges associated with being a senior woofie. BHS houses the woofies for adoption in kennel runs and it was determined, rightly so, that this woofie would suffer mentally from being housed alone in such a kennel and therefore, not show well to prospective adopters. We all understood, and Mom L brought the woofie back to Miss Lisa.

By now you think he outta have a name, right? Well Miss Lisa named him Trident. Can you guess why? Remember she is a cat trapper. Okay, she named him Trident ‘cuz it has the letters “TNR” in it!!

Trident and Mom L had a pretty intense chat on the way back to Miss Lisa.

Can I talk straight up with you Miss Linda?

MomL—”why of course you can Trident. What’s going on buddy.”

berkelyehumanesociety, senior dog rescue

*sigh* I don’t think anyone is gonna want me, not ever

MomL—” Dearest Trident, of course another human will welcome you into their life with open arms. Miss Lisa and I will make sure of that. Just put on your ‘rescued face’ because that part is done! Now we are on to the ‘get a permanent home’ part”

senior dog rescue

OK, I’ll look ahead to my future, & a human bed buddy

Trident is being talked about amongst a couple of local 501 c3 rescues who take on senior woofies. Trident will have a loving place to spend his senior years along with all the medical he needs as his toofies are very bad and he needs some special loving care. His toofies will be taken care of soon, so if you know anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area, in California, USA who adores senior small woofie family members, perhaps Trident will be their next family member?

If you are interested in helping Trident, get in touch with HALO, Voicemail: 925-473-4642, or email at halo at yahoo dot com. Be sure to mention that Trident is housed with Miss Lisa, the cat trapper extraordinaire.
