What Do You Do With Your Humans on Caturday?
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
Not much goes on in my castle these days because the humans are retired. They lead rather boring lives except when I allow them the excitement of waiting on me, and The Kid Sage and of course assisting us with our five times a day fitness routines. Other than that…they don’t do much.
But on Saturdays…every 2-3 weeks..Dad P cleans all our litter boxes…oh don’t worry, they scoop 42 kabillion times a day…but on Saturdays, every 203 weeks…he dumps the whole lot of litter, scrubs the boxes, and gives us the luxury of brand new never used litter…ahhhhhhhhh…
So I, HRH Savannah…recline and watch all the action…
Just look at all that effort…for me…perfect
Of course The Kid Sage just cannot keep her little nose…nor any other part of her OUT of the action. She is so very difficult to teach and train in the art of being a ‘house cat’…sigh…but someone must, simply must, take on this duty. So…I do try…really, truly…I do.
And now you all know my problem. She not only colludes with my precious, pink tissue paper…she believes we have a new cat bed…*rolls eyes and shakes head in disbelief*

We get fresh litter every week. Plus Mummy scoops both boxes several times a day. She wanted to let each of us have our own bathroom but couldn’t find a suitable place for the third. In any case, we have “trends”. Some days we all prefer the upstairs bathroom and others, we all head downstairs.

Den once a week she savez sum of da littur n dumpz da rest n washez out me littur box reel guud n den me getz fresh littur wif a bit of da old fer da odor so me nose iz still me litturbox….
Mum told me alot of da homeless kittehz at da Sheltur lay in dere litturboxez….now dat soundz kinda gross to me….butt differint strokez fer differint kittehfolkz rite??

Uh, Mommy says she had a litterbox years ago that was never used as such by her cats. Never had to change the litter–she finally dumped it and put a towel in it. One of her kitties liked to sleep in it and Mommy thought it would be more comfy with the towel. Odd kitty, huh.
We can’t wait for October 1!

HAH! You got your work cut out with TKS, Savvy. TW says to tell your Dad P not to use any harsh clensers in the box; dish soap and water is enough. Anything harsher might give you a reaction or a UTI. TW is due to clean mine.

no,no…Dad P does it about once a month; we are using Dr Elsey’s stuff but Dad P says cleaning the boxes is like trying to scrape out cement if there is any dried ‘you know what’ bit left in the bottom…snicker

Hmmmmm Well Savannah so sowwy yous bed not smell quite wight. Meez suwe yous be a gweat teacher. Maybe sumpawdy smelled it up in da store and hers just twyin’ to make it hers. MOL you know da old neighbors and then da flood and da smell of doggy pee all ovew ow house had me usin da floor, but now dat da old neighbors be gone and weez got new floors meez back to usin’ da pawdee boxes. Come on Sage, yous can do it in da wight place, me knows yous can. 🙂

oh guys, Sage DOES always use the right place…she was just checking out the litter box lid while Dad P was cleaning and changing the litter boxes…he leaves the lids in the house…Sage thought “oh, this is new” not realizing it is the lid to her very own litter box!! LOL
MOL Dat be so funny. Mommy sez weez did dat afur hers got rid of da lids on ours afur. MOL Way to go Sage.

Both of our humans are working, so our litter box day is rather Sunday (every 3-4 weeks), as Dad works on Caturday too. Mum is used to work out on Caturday before the weekly groceries rush ! Purrs
he he – your humans lead about as exciting lives as my humans. At least they have time to give us lots of attention.
ha… maybe Sage is from France wher lit means bed? and LITTER more beds?
The humans here are retired too, well Dad is more or less – still works from the house. Good thing we don’t have litter boxes because we don’t think they would be liking that job at all.
So is Sage a helper or a hindrance? We bet she thinks she is doing a great job there:)

Sage you best listen to your big sister Savvy – there’s a very LARGE difference between USING the litter and SLEEPING in it!!!! HAHAHA Cat beds and litter boxes are vastly different things dear girl.

I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure there’s quite a difference between a litter box and a cat bed. Wake up and smell the coffee, Sage!

Our HuMom used to buy a litter that came in a plastic bucket. She always wondered why they didn’t make the bucket in a litter box shape. Well, so did Pumpkin. As a kitten he would crawl in to the bucket of fresh litter, while HuMom was scrubbing the litterbox, and, well, he’d make it NOT a bucket of fresh litter. I guess sometimes a kitten just can’t wait.
Let’s just hope she doesn’t “use” it. HahaMeow!
