Packing Up Our Tree
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
I owe my readers an apology for not letting ya know I wasn’t gonna get a blog post up last Friday. Truth to tell, I didn’t know I wasn’t gonna be able to. You see, the day before was Mom L’s birthday and well—(shuffling paws) Mom L kind’a forgot. But she really did have more important things to do because Dad P had some of her very special friends over to help her celebrate.
As for packing up our Christmas stuff, we all got it done the day after Christmas. I decided to nap and let everyone else get the hard work done.
The Kid Sage helped Dad P with the final packing up—the Christmas Tree was going back into its box until next year.
TKS helped get every single ornament off the tree and packed away. But she was worried about her pal the Christmas Tree. She wanted her to be comfy napping away for a whole year.
But as Dad P started to get the tape out to close up the tree, TKS began to get anxious.
Of course it will come out again next year TKS! Silly kitty! And after the Christmas Tree was safely and carefully placed in storage, we all said good bye to the Christmas Season of 2016. Hope yours was lots of fun and that you are ready for our New Year called number 2017!
Happy Birthday to your mom and Pawkisses for a Happy and Healthy New Year to all of you 🙂 ❤
Oh it’s your Gotcha Day today Savvy!!!! Happy Gotcha day!
TKS you are absolutely adorable and a great help 🙂
HAH! Sage is so expressive. We don’t send Fraser packing until El Día de las Reyes on the 6th. He’s been good and has been holding his bladder well.
I’m not sure that I will be able to get my tree to fit and sit so nicely as Dad P did!
Sage, good job with packing up the tree. Savannah, happy Gotcha Day!
Good job! I am ready to unpack our tree and get it put back up again!
It looks like Sage was lucky she wasn’t packed away in a box!
What a lovely post ! You’re such a cute helper, TKS ! Purrs
TKS did a great job of making sure Dad P put your tree back just right. We’re going to leave ours up for a while longer, just because we all love it so much (especially Zoe). 🙂

You can tell peoples personality types by what day they pack up the tree. Some do it the day after Christmas, some do it in February, and then there are the inbetweeners like us who did it yesterday.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Happy Birthday, Miss L. 🎂 And a Wonderful New Year 🍾 To Everyone, 🌎
Well done, kids. Mom will put away all our Christmas things today. It will be easier to be a good girl when all that shiny stuff is gone. I hope I am a good helper like you kids were when Mom starts getting the decorations squared away.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Aww TKS is a very good helper indeed. Things here will be packed up very soon, in fact more things will be going than came, as a new year resolution is to tidy the Palace up…. By peep’s standards that will mean it’ll be done by December 31. MOL
Happy New Year to you all, and may 2017 bring Health and Happiness and Prosperity. purrs Erin
Our tree comes down next weekend.
Our tree starts coming down tomorrow! I don’t know if it will be with us next year – my human is thinking of (gasp!) replacing it!
We hope you had a pawsome Chrissymouse and a Great New Year.
And belated birthday greetings to your Mom.
Pawpats and kitty kissies to you all.
Happy New Year you guys and we hope to see Sage’s tree in time for Christmas 2017!!!
My christmas tree is still up and will stay so until the 6th. That is traditional here in Germany, that the tree stays up until Epiphany which closes the Christmas season.
In Old England (pre victorian-times) they had no Christmas tree, but on the 6th was the 12th day of Christmas. Until then the Yule-log had to last, the Christmas decorations stayed up and on the 6th was a dance (well, with the aristocracy, not with normal folk).
Why thank you so much for sharing that bit of history. My Mom and Dad were trying to clear some space for the little birthday party Dad held for Mom’s birthday the 29th!
A colleague of mine celebrated New Year’s Eve in his small flat and threw out the tree, too, just after Christmas.
That Sage is so cute.
