The Kid Sage: Shortest Attention Span on Earth

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Do you have a fur family member with a short attention span?? You so have to tell me in comments and give EXAMPLES please!

Movin’ on—so you know that TKS luvluvluvs helping Dad P make their our bed every Sunday morning.

Well, what you may not know is how easily she is distracted by her purrsonal needs and interests.

Bring it on Dad P!! I’m ready to play “making the bed”!

As you can see, she is ready, even eager. Anticipating the first move.

I can see your first move with the wand stick Dad!

She waits for Dad P to move the handle end of the wand to make her suspect there is something UNDER the new top sheet.

You can’t fool me Dad P! I see that wand handle

She anticipates, waits and then attacks for the kill! Expert!!

Wait a minute. Something is happening to my energy level

Her “energy level”??? What the heck is that all about? Can’t she focus?

*snort* ahem—just a sec’—zzzz

TKS simply cannot maintain focus on what she is doing at any given time. Why I doubt she can focus….

Hang on Dad P, whats that I see outside?

…on anything. Well, except maybe excluding whatever catches her attention in a nanosecond.

Now she is re-focusing on something else other than bed making—typical TKS.

I can see it!! Can you???

Finally she catches MY attention! What in cat’s name is she seeing outside???

Holy catnip!! I can’t believe my own eyes and nose! It’s back!!!

No telling what “it” might be, but clearly TKS has seen it before, even if only in her own mind’s eye. Like I said, shortest attention span on earth!

PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

    ***nose rubsss*** Dharth Henry =^,.^=

  2. TKS you are a cutie. I bet you still have better attention span than the Basset Hound at my house. She can be playing a toy & then SQUIRREL! She gets distracted by a rodent in the yard, or food, or people walking by the house and so on!

  3. I’m always off on a new adventure.

  4. TKS, you look so cute while you”re looking like that. Brother Simon has a very short attention span, everything is a toy right now, from one to the next!

  5. We enjoyed watching you help with the bed and getting distracted by “it”. heehee
Our Julie is the youngest(she will be 8 next month)
She is always hearing things and running to see what “it” is 🙂
It appears “it” is quite popular 😉

  6. We have a few with very short attention spans here at the Tomcat home… right Einstein MOL
    Timmy

  7. What ever could IT be?? Wally is the one around here that seems to lose focus…when he’s eating no less. He takes a few bites, then something else catches his attention and he stops. The mom has to put him in a separate room so he’ll eat all his food.

  8. Oh bless her she does make us laugh. It is so nice to see her on the blog sometimes 🙂

  9. TKS really reminded Mom of Angel Fiona is those first photos with her eyes dilated so big. Fiona was like that most of the time. Astrid is the one with the super short attention span. She zooms around the house and gets on and off my lap 20 times a minute. The rest of the time she is snoozing in her kitty sleeping bag. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

She is still young, it is OK to have a short attention span.

  11. Hahaha. Yes, Bear is easily distracted … ESPECIALLY while playing. To get in shape myself, I used to try to incorporate my own exercise into his … but my movements distracted and maybe even scared him. I joke that I should’ve named him Narcissus because he’ll watch his prey intently … and then stop mid-pounce to lick himself.

Don’t let the others tease, TKS! It is normal for a kitty to let their attention wander. Wait what is that in the corner?

BOL you are hilarious. If there is no wand you can always whack dad, BOL. Short attention span, well not really. We just play by our own rules

  14. I think humans forget that we see stuff that THEY can’t see…..they think our minds are wandering but we’re just seeing all kinds of totally cool stuff that they can’t! Makes it look like we’re off in la-la-land but we’re not!

    Hugs, Angel Sam and Teddy

  15. When Mom is talking to me, I stare very intently into her eyes for about 2 seconds. Then my eyes accidentally slide up to the ceiling and wander around up there till she finishes. So I think my attention span is pretty good. Right…?

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  16. I left this blogpost “ten times”* just because something else had my attention …

    * I might be exaggerating slightly for comic effect, it was only 9 times.

  17. I’m pretty ADHD too… maybe not as much as Sage…

  18. I’m your canine twin TKS… there are too much things around me and all that things need my attention… even when I do my business… so you can call me a distracto-raner :o)

  19. Our puppies have a super short attention span – they get distracted from eating if we come in the room. And last night, Kinley got distracted from pooping by air conditioners kicking on!

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
