Morning Routine for The Kid Sage

Most of you know that Mom L, Dad P and TKS and me all have a really nice morning routine. For those who don’t know about this let me give you a run down on how it goes—every single morning.

  1. Wake up call from me or TKS
  2. Dad P goes down to make our breakfast with TKS on his heels
  3. I usually remain in our bedroom with Mom L who prepares the bed for her to relax and prepares Dad P’s chair and light for him to relax and then she sets up the TV for the AM news they like.
  4. Dad P brings up coffee or tea for him and Mom L and also my breakfast. He knows I like to eat in our bedroom.
  5. TKS goes digging under the “treat pillow” to get her morning Greenies.
  6. I nibble then leave for about 20 minutes and then I come back and Dad P gets up from his chair to give me my remaining breakfast.
  7. After I finish I ask him to give me some pets and he obliges by following me around the bedroom as I meow to him sharing my morning thoughts.
  8. TKS climbs up on Mom L’s chest between her and her iPad as she attempts to visit blogs and demands attention.
  9. I leave the bedroom once my needs are met.
  10. TKS retires to the tall cat tree in a corner in the bedroom once she gets her treats and snuggles with Mom L.

Here is The Kid Sage aka TKS now retired to her cat tower for her morning nap.

What Mom L? You know I am done with you for now, right?

As Mom L points that pesky iPhone in TKS’ face, TKS meets it half way.

There you have it. TKS’ morning routine. Let me know in comments how your Wednesday morning is shaping up.

  2. That sounds like a very nice morning routine.

  3. What a sweet routine. It makes my heart happy to hear about how much your humans love you and take care of your every whim. All cats deserve that kind of pampering, right? Maybe your parents should teach some lessons!

That’s a wonderful routine, if you ask us! We love that it’s so focused on you!

That is quite the routine , you are lucky kitties.

  8. What a great routine. We usually wake the mom up for breakfast and do you know she makes her coffee first before feeding us. The nerve!

Rain rain rain Savvy. Our routine starts with my version of THoE on the stairs right before Mom’s alarm goes off. I give Mom my pitiful dying kitty cry until I get my stinky goodness, Ralphie just waits quietly, then I lie on the rug in the hallway outside the bathroom while she gets ready for work while Ralphie lies on his towel in the bathroom and snoopervises her getting ready. I get treats with the Girls and then we all settle in for our morning naps.

  10. That is a great routine. We have something a bit similar here with Dad getting us breakfast and then handing out the treats. Nothing like well trained peeps

  15. The first thing I want Mom to do for me in the morning is PLAY. I love to run and chase/fetch so we do that for 15 or 20 minutes before Dad gets up (probably from all the noise we make!)……..then he has his coffee (which Mom has already made) and settles in to watch the news. Mom and I go up to her office and hang out while she gets on the computer and I go in my play cube with toys. I give her five minutes of computer time then demand to play fetch again – this time from UPSTAIRS where I want her to toss a toy DOWN the stairs so I can run down like a herd of elephants and retrieve said toy – about ten times before I get tired. That’s my morning SHOW.

    Hugs, Teddy

  16. Sweet morning. Mom has her tea in bed with a treat and a million cuddles for me, but when she needs to start her day, it all turns ugly. I am unceremoniously ousted from my cuddly spot so she can make the bed and ban me from the room for the rest of the day. Apparently, there needs to be one stinking lousy spot in the house with no dog hair. …Um… Why?

    Love and licks,

  17. I think that sounds like a nice routine! And way more kitty focused than here – my human feeds us and disappears into the computer for the rest of the morning.

  18. the mama said your morning routine is purr-fect… ours is vice versa… the mama makes my breakfast and the coffee for my dad ;o)

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
