UPDATE: Kittens rescued during COVID 19 can thrive!
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
Remember the itty bitty kittens I posted about a week ago or so? They were in such bad shape when Mom L and Dad P arrived on the scene. Unfortunately the residents had already picked them up so we did not get mom cat. But it appears she may have already abandoned the kittens for whatever reason.
They were so dehydrated, malnourished and had a terrible eye infection. However after just ten hours in the care of Miss Gemma from Community Concern For Cats, they were already bouncing back.
Mom L had an exciting opportunity just five days after the kittens went to Miss Gemma to visit them during one of CC4C’s infamous Kitty Kitchen Clinics. Check out their progress!!
They had just eaten but little Spot (she has a brown spot on her head) still wanted more. Her brother, the Siamese and other sister (diluted tortie) weren’t so interested in the food. But just look at those bright eyes!
All three kittens were examined at this clinic by Mom L’s good friend and my former feline Veterinarian, Doc Josie.
Can you see that cute little brown spot on her right outside toesie?? She is gonna be such a pretty tortie girl.
Miss Diluted Tortie wasn’t so sure if she wanted Doc Josie to lay a paw on her!! Isn’t she just “da bomb”!!
Here is Mr Siamese, the brofur, getting his gums checked ‘cuz he is still kind’a thin, not eating and maybe a wee bit anemic. They all had fleas, he had the most. But Doc Josie gave him a pass for a few days to see how he keeps progressing.
I know my readers are all doing everything they can to help their local community cat rescues deal with the challenges of giving care and rescue to the cats in their neighborhoods. No matter where you live in the world, COVID 19 pandemic has had a serious negative impact on all small rescues. Please do consider donating locally if you can.
Have a safe week my pals.
