#RememberMeThursday #SeeTheLight
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
I know my post is late but here it is! I don’t like to miss posting for the #RememberMeThursday adoption event. You see, if humans had not been made aware of how desperate those of us ending up in municipal shelters can be to find real homes, I would have been euthanized in 2010. Yes, I was literally pulled off the “euth cart” by a life saving human Miss Tammy, just as they were ready to take me to the unmentionable room.
I am such a fortunate kitty! Miss Tammy fostered me until there was space for me to be placed in a non profit free roam kitty shelter called Kitty Corner. Oh, the public shelter did try to get me adopted; they placed me in Petsmart cages for about three months. But I was terrified and “did not show well”. Hah!! Who would??!!!
And then I languished for over a year at Kitty Corner. Again no one wanted me because I always hid. But the purrfect human came along, my Dad P, and took his time to get to know me even with my butt facing him from inside my hidey place!! MOL!!!
Please do not ever give up on the shy kitties you find in shelters. We will become your most loving companion if you just give us a chance.
PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

Savvy! Yous has come such a long way since we first met you! You are a gorgeous and happy lady cat who now can share her home with others. You have the best peoples and they work so furry hard for those who are having a tough time (like you did).
We are happy to know you and we are so happy to have watched you grow into the cat you are!
Purrs (and Love)
Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, and Mom
We hope that many, many anipals find their furever home asap, love your post today! XOX
Savvy, you are so right! We are so grateful that you were saved. Just look at you now. So many animals don’t get the time and opportunity. All of our cats have been rescues. Ava was super shy like you. Angel Moosey and Angel Graphite was from a high-kill shelter. Angel Sammy was found in a feral cat colony. And Gracie and Angel Zoe were at PAWS for years until they came to like with us. We hope one day all cats will be given the chances they so deserve. XO
This is such an important day – I hope lots of kitties find homes.
Yes, some of the shy cats are the best pets. I hid in the back of the cage but the peeps had picked me out on PetFinder.
Great post. I am glad you got your happy ending and I wish all cats were so blessed. XO

Savannah our Miss Fitz was a very shy and difficult kitty and luckily Dad was the one doing the fostering. After 6 months he gave in and brought her into our home along with Angel Mr Buttons who had FIV. We are the lucky ones. Thanks so much for doing your family showing support for such an important initiative
