Have Sun Puddle, Will Nap

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

As you have heard me complain about before, our new rental home is rather absent of decent sun puddles; no matter where the Sun is during what part of the year.

However, you have all seen the paws down best sun puddle room in the house which I discovered the instant Mom L and Dad P finally removed all their junk stored wall art and allowed the blinds to be open. VOILA! That was where the sun puddles were hiding!!

What I haven’t shared is the new discovery! Made by yours truly, of course. Now I have to describe where this once illusive sun puddle was discovered. The first time it showed up was when Mom L pulled up the blinds in her office to let some light in. Starting in mid November, Miss Sun Puddle showed up! She lives during this time of year right behind Mom L’s printer stand. The big window goes down to about 12 inches (30.5 cm) above the floor. The window sill is 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide. So I hopped up behind Mom L’s printer and found this lovely warm delish spot…and no one can see me!!

Unfortunately, my hind leg went to sleep and I started to vigorously shake it (like we cats do when we get a paw wet) and my hind paw whackity whacked the back of the printer stand and I was discovered!

Caught in the sun puddle!

Caught in the sun puddle!

Mom L was overjoyed by my ingenuity in locating this miraculous sun puddle and she felt badly my hind paw kept going to sleep and I would shake and get up. So she added and extra whole inch to my new sun puddle spot by putting a nice cozy fleece blanket on the window sill and moving the printer stand back about an inch. The stand is very sturdy so I can just lean against it. Pawsome!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

You can even see my reflection through the screen on the window.

You can see how much I love this spot. It is only around for about 2 hours tops in the mid morning and I try to catch it as often as I can…unless The Kid Sage has beat me to it. But with her black furs she gets hot really fast…heh…heh.

As the month of November moved along, so did Ms. Sun Puddle. Thankfully she is spreading even wider! Now she reaches our new cat tower.

Ahhh...now I can stretch out

Ahhh…now I can stretch out

And of course, I must share this as well with TKS. At least she knows her manners and keeps to the low ground.

ummm...mind if I take this little part right here?

I don’t mind, really I don’t.

Friday Frolics with Me

HIYA!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I bet some of you have missed seeing me go all crazypants on my cat tower…right?? Remember the first months in my then new forever home; I had to learn how to play on a cat tower. Finally I got comfy enough to bet crazypants.

Well, after we had to give up our real home to the bank, I stopped playing on the tall tower. Just stopped. Don’t know why. But now we have a second tower and I am learning to play crazypants again. (hover over photos to view captions and click on a photo to see it bigified…makes my eyes look better)

I don’t get very high on the tower but I am learning to have a great time doing my ‘pole dancing’ routines again.

My apologies for the shifting of color hues. Mom L is learning Photoshop Elements and this part it more tricky. But we will get the hang of it soon. Hope all my USA pals had a yummy Turkey Day.

Giving Thanks for Pals…

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

The Kid Sage, my little sisfur, and I want to send to all our pal around the world, our warmest gratitude on this Thanksgiving Day Holiday here in the USA. And yes, I said ‘my little sisfur’. We won’t likely ever cuddle and may never be able to play as Sage wants…but I do look to see if she is near me, wanting her there and I know she seeks me out to be near me.

We are grateful to have one another and our Dad P is the bestest Cat Dad ever. He has had cats since he was a young man. And our Mom L, well, she has thumbs and so she can be our voice to all of you. We have a great life. Now, we just need to keep Pawing It Forward to held all those companion animals, woofies, cats, bunnies, piggies etc. find the same life we have now. Our work will never end.

And our fun times with all of you will be forever.
