No More Kittens: Thursday Purrsday
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
Last Friday Mom L was gone most of the day and she came home smellin’ just a bit as though she might have been cheatin’ on me and The Kid Sage…tsk, tsk, tsk…
We both had several good sniffs of her shoes before she wiped them off.
She was off helping do something unmentionable to some very sweet unsuspecting kittens who were adopted during the famously successful Maddie’s Adoption Event in June.(click here to read about it)
I have collected evidence of who Mom L was helping out…and they were at that smelly icky place where the V-E-T does ‘you know what’ to get our temp reading. You all know ‘where’ I mean.
The Evidence…
The back story to this special CC4C spay/neuter clinic is all about the kittens that were adopted during Maddie’s Adoption Day. These little kittens had to weight at least 2+ pounds…and for a rescue to receive the Maddie’s reimbursement for spay/neuter…those adopted during the event must have this procedure within about 30 days.
Maddie’s Fund is committed to working toward a “No Kill USA” and they are making a difference.
CC4C has a pawsome partner in Dr Linda Miller, Cat Hospital of Clayton who provides her surgery for these clinics and Dr Josie Thompson, my former now retired DVM, who donates her expertise to ensure that CC4C continues to make progress on ….
NO MORE KITTENS
We all luvluvluv kittens…however…all these kittens which CC4C rescues are born to mostly feral/stay Mom Cats and Dad Cats. The solution to reducing so many kittens/cats being killed in shelters across the USA is to do everything a community can do to aggressively attack TNR for all feral populations.
Mom L and I are so very humbled to be a very small part in this effort…can I ask that you…my readers…consider ways that you might also become actively engaged in making a NO KILL USA possible???
