Please please think about the danger to us cats when we are outside. Paw pats Savannah
My Disciples,
This morning was crazy and scary and, ultimately sad. One of the Guardians had to work today, so she got up early, went through her morning routine and headed out the front door. Moments after she left she came running back inside. She ran to the bedroom, shouting to the other Guardian and I only caught pieces of what she said. I heard the words, “emergency”, “help”, “hit by car”, “hurry” and “road”. I was chilled to the bone thinking that Mama Cat, Nacho, Cookie, Whisper, Beatrice, Minerva or any of the other dozen or so Limbo cats living nearby had been hit by a car, but then I heard the word “raccoon”.
So, one of the wildlings had been hit. This news was no less sad, and now I wondered if it was the big ‘ol male I call “The Beast” or the dainty female who helps…

We are strictly indoor only kitties here! Very sad about the raccoon. Mommie had a pet raccoon when she was young. They are brillant animals.
That makes my whiskers weepy wet.
So sad about the raccoon. We have neighbors that let their cats out and we fear for their safety. All us cats her never go outside. What is really sad is that their are some who will run over cats, dogs or any other animal on purpose. Hugs and nose kisses
Very sad. Luckily my cats play by the river and sports fields in front of us. Hopefully there is no reason for them to go near the road.
we live in a quiet community, but there are cars that come in and out of their homes, and we have coyotes that walk down our street and Mom has seen on carrying a dead kitty and it was at Noon during the day! We also have fox and dogs off leash and cruel people..just not safe in many places for cats to be outside without any supervision. It is a worry. paw pats, Savannah
You are right – that is so sad.
I was terrified something had happened to Mama Cat, she is my fave limbo kitteh and I just luvluvluv her…she would have made a pawsome competitor in our Cat-O-Lympics! But then I learned it was a wildling, still sad.
How very sad. That’s one of the reasons I lobby for people to keep indoor cats indoors. They could be poisoned, hit by a car, catnapped or attacked by another predator.
I agree with you CK. I know not everyone can nor does everyone believe it is proper. But, I still lobby for it. paw pats, Savannah
Very sad…….
yup, sure is Rumpy
Indeed 😦
It is dangerous outside but sometimes there isn’t a choice and it depends on where one lives outside. Living in town is bad with the cars etc. but living in the country isn’t too bad. And there just isn’t room in the house for all of us.
Thank you for coming by to visit me…I did not intend to judge, just to ask for considering watching over cats when they are outside. I know many cats don’t have a choice because they live in cat colonies, and so outside. I only want cats to be safe. I also so know that many cats simply will not remain inside and must go out or they become destructive in the Guardians’ home. Just hope dangers to cats being outside are considered. That is so sad. RIP little Raccoon. 😦
yes it is! we are not the only ones in danger from peep’s cars
