What A Difference A Year Makes: Monday Meowsie News
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!
Last week, specifically July 27th, marked the one year anniversary of Cuzin Leo’s move to his very own furrever castle. Dad Dave sent us a “back then” and “right now” set of photos that we thought many of you would want to see.
Without all of you, Cuzin Leo’s life might not have been…and his joy in his new home and the love Dad Dave gives him would never have been felt by either of them.
So first, thank you all who proudly displayed these badges last year…do you all remember the auction and raffle that helped Cuzin Leo pay for his esophageal feeding tube…which ultimately saved his life. Leo was in the final stages of hepatic lipidosis…and it took this blogville village and lots of very special people to help save his life…purrs and prayers surely played a big role as well.
My pals, Alfie and Mollie got the fund raising started by hosting the raffle and auction and so many others put in lots of time, energy and caring to make it successful.
…
…and then the search for his very own Furrever Castle…
Leo on July 29th, 2013…hiding in the linen closet where he remained for weeks when he was not hiding under Dad Dave’s bedspread…
Leo, July 29th, 2014…helping Dad Dave stay awake to watch TV…
Thank you all for Cuzin Leo’s life.
Paw Pats, Savannah
We also offer our most sincere heartfelt sympathy to our furriends at Cat In The Fridge for the loss of their long time family member precious Rocky…please stop by and let them know you are part of the paw circle surrounding them in this time of loss…

We love seeing Leo so happy in his castle. He went through so much — okay, your parents and he went through so much, and you did, too — to get him healthy again, and seeing him happy and healthy is heartwarming. We know he’ll always be special to your family, and knowing he is happy will have special meaning to all of you.
Leo looks magnificent and you can tell he really loves Dad Dave, and the feeling is mutual.~Scylla
Every single time we see Leo our hearts smile! We visited Rocky’s Mom earlier, so very sad.
Thanks for sharing these photos of Leo. We wish Dad Dave would post more often. It is amazing how much Leo has filled out and how luxurious his fur is. Y’all were the best for taking such good care of him. We had not heard about Rocky. We will pop over and give our purrs and prayers to Mom Alana and family. Have a great week. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Wow. Just LOOK at Leo, now. AMAZIN’.
So sad about Rocky. I miss him already.
Purrs,

oh we also miss Rocky so very much. We can still see him in his last video shoot as the French Chat! Such a movie star we have lost and his Mom has lost her best long time feline friend.
I am so happy that Leo is doing well – and paws up to you for going the extra BUNCH of miles to help him!
Looking good Leo. Glad you and dad found each other
Lily & Edward
Aw, just look at the happy boy now! Both of them!
Savvy, Your pawrents SAVED LEO’S LIFE!! And even you did your part–it wasn’t easy for you to put up with an Introodur Cat in your very own home for months, even if Mom Linda and Dad Peter did the dance of a thousand doors to keep you both safe from the other 😉
It warms my little feline heart to see Leo so unbelievably content and comfortables in the “after” picture. Imagine how happy he must be!!!
Such an amazing transformation – well done!
Love the photos of Leo, how great is that!?
SO sorry to hear about Rocky… 😦 rest easy sweet kitty

Happy Belated Gotcha Day to Cuzin Leo. Glad to see Cuzin Leo staying healthy and feeling the love of Dad Dave. Your peeps (and you for letting me into your castle) should feel so good that they kept him alive and made such a difference in both his and Dad Dave’s lives. All we did was share so we don’t deserve any of the credit.
GASP! that should read LETTING HIM INTO YOUR CASTLE. TW is so fired.
bwaahahahaha!! luv ya BFGF
I remember the time as I read about Leo and I’m so glad that Leo found his Dad Dave. I also learnt that we can win if we stand together and if we paw it forward. Happy one year in your furever castle day dear Leo!
I am glad to learn that Leo did well with his furever home.
