A Moment of Shared Bird Watching

We had some really nice, warmish weather this week so window whiffies were finally offered to us. The humans opened the slider doors in the kitchen and the great big one in my our living room. Bird and squirrel TV had stupendous reception and fascinating programming that day!

Feels like someone is watching over my shoulder. Naaawww...couldn't be...

The birds were flying all over the yard; from feeding station to feeding station. We even had lots of hummers.

Whoa! Look at that hummer dive bomb the finch!

I sat there enjoying the regularly scheduled programming. But all the while, I kept feeling another presence.

Now the House Finches are running everyone off the seed feeder...heh...heh...competition

Again, I felt a need to look over my shoulder; but the action was too exciting to take my attention away from outside.

Hey Savvy!! Look at those squirrels chasing each other!!

Hey Savvy!! Look at those squirrels chasing each other!!

Then I heard The Kid Sage, TKS, shout out my name as she darted across the living room to get a better look at some silly squirrel episode which I am sure was likely a re-run. That’s when I KNEW I was right all along…someone WAS behind me!

Hisssssss...I let her know I knew she was there but all she left behind was a glimpse of her tail

Thus ended our ‘unknown’ to me ‘shared’ bird watching and window whiffing.

  1. You do have interesting things to watch. It’s nice that Sage gives you a bit of space and doesn’t try to crowd you too much.

  2. Wow. You’ve got some AMAZIN’ bird TV goin’ on right now. We just have The Crow Show at the mo. Hopin’ for Chickadee Chicks and Team Blue Jay to come back. Haven’t seen ’em since the first of the never-endin’ snowstorms. MOUSES!

We have had two warm days and Mom was able to swim both. Pretty amazing for Feb. in Virginia. We’ve been on the catio, of course. We always have good bird and squirrel TV. When we saw the first photo, Savvy, we actually thought you and TKS were sitting next to each other on the floor. Guess we should have known better. We still think it must be more fun to watch Bird TV with a pal – that way you can keep an eye on all directions.

    Happy weekend.

We find trying to ignore a blogger trying to take over your own post get’s very irritating and trying to pretend you can’t see them is very boring but is a necessity in all cases.

  24. Savvy, what happens when you and TKS can’t agree on which channel to watch?

  25. I’m glad you let TKS share the bird-watching with you even if you didn’t know she was at the time!!!!!

    Hugs, Sammy

  26. Watching together is just a hop, skip, and a jump from playing together. Whoo-hoo!

Kid sage is a sneaky one! How annoying to interrupt regular programming!

  29. You do, realize, Savvy, that Sage defers to your superiority, right? She wants a piece of the action, but she knows you are in charge!

  30. It can be so annoying when somebody is watching over your shoulder and it isn’t an Angel… 😀 Pawkisses for a Peaceful Weekend 🙂 ❤

  31. MOL, well that must have been one intense show not to notice her 🙂

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
