Learning How To Play Together: Part Two
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
I promised you another look at a more recent opportunity The Kid Sage gave me to play with her. It was at night, earlier this week. The photos are a bit grainy and dark because like I said, it was at night.
Our tunnels seem to be the avenue TKS is using in her attempts to try and get me to learn how to play with another cat. Last Friday my post shared how she used our three way teleport tunnel in an effort to sneak up on me.
At least she could turn around in the middle to escape head first.
Does Nana see me?
Not so this time when she tried to use my Fast Leopard Teleport Tunnel to make another sneak attack…crazypants kid! This is a totally horrible photo but it is the only way I can show you how far TKS made it through the tunnel before she had second thoughts…heh…heh
I can see you through the port hole
I moved around to the end opening of the tunnel to make sure TKS knew I busted her attempt at a sneak attack.
Are you crazy? I know you are in there
TKS sat in the tunnel for a few moments deciding what to do…and how to escape, You see she could not turn around inside this tunnel like the Three Way Tunnel. Can you imagine what her only option for exiting without having to dash past me was??
Backing out…tail first
Yep…she slowly, ever so slowly backed out of the tunnel…
Hind legs out…
After every few inches of backing, she would hesitate to make sure she was safe *snicker*…
Tummy out…
Finally her whole body emerged and she checked to see if I had moved.
Whew! Savvy is still at the other end
I am surprised Mom L caught any photos because she and Dad P were trying to keep from snorting and guffawing out loud.
Mom L doesn’t call her “Pistol Pants” for no reason. She is a dare devil and convinced she will one day teach me how to play with her. I sure do hope so.

Love the pictures! This looks like some progress in playing together to us. Good job TKS cautiously getting out of the tunnel. We still are holding out to find a post one day that the two of you are playing together and having the time of your lives. Today we posted a pic of Baby Boy Mumsy took a few days ago if you have time to go see what he is looking like now day. Love you all! Sending lots of huge hugs and nose kisses your way.
She is working so hard to get you to play with her, Savvy. Go on, give it a try. It’s such fun when you have other kitties to play with.

Why don’t you try zooming through your tunnel Savvy – it’s great fun and I hope one day Hannah will zoom though our tunnel but she thinks it’s beneath her dignity!!! BTW I like the fact she doesn’t zoom because I lie in wait for her to pass the entrance then I zoom out and make her jump!!!

I did try to zoom through to get Sage once, but then I scared myself by getting too close to her and I hissed at her and ran off…sigh
You both are getting there. We really hope that you would one day play and play with TKS. It’s fun and very therapeutic. You can whap your baby sister in the name of play and all would be good, just ask Emma.

Pistol Pants? MOL! That’s quite a nickname. We hope that one of these days you two will figure out how to play together. After all, you arrived at your home after the shelter said you didn’t need toys because you didn’t play at all, right? So there’s hope. Sage won’t give up on you, we’re sure of it.
What? You never heard the nickname “Pistol Pants” before? Must be a generational thing…heh…heh. And you are spot on that I fooled everyone at my former shelter when I played a lot once I got away by myself.
TKS has very good manners, she nows that she has to leave a room or a tunnel backwards when a Queen is on the other side :o) good thing, think she is well prepared if she meets HRM once in the furs :o)

Savvy, I sure hope that one day you learn to play! It’s so much fun! Leo came here knowing how to play, but Star would have nothing to do with him, so I think he kind of forgot. But now that it’s just him and his sisters, he’s learned all over again that play is fun! I’m sure you played at least a little as a kitten, I sure hope you remember how much fun that was and start all over again!
I think I am more like Star cuz we both came from places where we were afraid most of the time. I am more afraid of Sage than anything
