Can A Cat Over Explore?
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
If you the question “can a cat over explore?” at my home, the answer will be resounding ‘YES!’. Especially after Mom L caught The Kid Sage exploring all within her leap reach from the tippy top of our White Tower.
TKS was caught in the very act…bad lighting…but caught none the less.
When TKS first discovered she could almost reach a paw from the tippy top of the White Tower over to Mom L’s ‘Special Treasures Display Shelf’ the humans had second thoughts about where the tower was placed.
However, they waited just a tad too long.
By the time they found her they were afraid to startle her for fear she would take the treasured Native American Drum down with her…
And then she began her descent…
Interestingly, the tom tom (drumming stick) which lays on the shelf was discovered…the next morning…on the living room floor. I suspect The Kid Sage made another trip up in the cloak of darkness later that night.
I suspect the tower has mysteriously moved just out of reach!

Not the top of the door! It’s a trap! – Crepes.
OVER-exploring? But, we’re cats! 😉
We jump up on top of the china cabinet much to the mom’s dismay.
Well, she has taken exploring to new heights!
Oh oh, someone’s in trouble now 🙂
Emma and Buster
Way to go TKS! I always tried to climb in the highest places but still couldn’t reach our ceiling. Now I don’t climb much anymore.
No such thing as over exploring
Lily & Edward
Hehe – good kitty!😺
Tee Hee! Sage would makes a excellent Cat From Hell!
Kisses
Nellie
We have wanted to get to our special treasures shelf for years. Way to go, Sage!
Sweet TKS that is some mighty fine high-rise exploring. Seems you might be practicing for some re-arranging of pretty things. Hugs and nose kisses
Over-exploring ? No, we can never explore too much ! Purrs
we iz crackin up at princeton’s commint 🙂 !!! 🙂 ♥♥♥
Sage like to get everywhere 🙂
She most certainly does. I, on the other paw, am far more dignified like my pal Archie (Mom L is very sad she won’t see you next week; please know this. Good thing I cancelled as have a bad hamstring pull behind the new knee. Hard to even walk right now 😦
Cats can never explore too much or jump too high!
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Just not my cup of niptini!
Overexploring is fun!! For us, that is! Mum and dad yell at us when *we* get too excited! Bo and Kobi
Bo and Kobi you should have heard Mom L when she first saw TKS up on that shelf!!! MOL!!! Then she ran for her camera to make sure she had evidence
and I can hear the drumroll of your tom tom while tks touched the next destination with her paw…and I stopped my breath…. that’s so egg-siding :o)
She is nothing less than exciting AND silly to watch Easy
Ut Oh….maybe move that tower over just a tad? Obviously TKS is preparing for a job with the circus as a high wire artist!!!!
Hugs, Sammy
She has no problem leaping from top of Dad’s chest of drawers over to the very top shelf in the wall closet…about 4 feet at least. That tower will have a new home if she doesn’t get her appetite for the shelf taken care of
Lucky kitty! It is my dream to be able to climb and leap like that. There would be no limit to the counters I would surf and the garbage I would eat.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
You would TOTALLY adore counter surfing Cupcake; especially up high! At least that is what TKS tells me
Aren’t cats amazing?!
Sage certainly is amazingly mischievous!
Over-exploring? Never heard of it! 😉
Bet that is Binga’s middle name!
Well done Sage 😀
Oh come on Miss Annie! Don’t encourage her!
Effurrytime We discover one of Mummy’s Treasures, She hides it away! She claims She can either have Pretty Inanimate Objects – OR Furry Babies. And it wasn’t hard to choose (mol).
Well we prefer furry family members for sure so the nice things will be locked up
that is why I have nothing nice … Well, but my cats, of course!
That’s why most of what we have that is nice is behind glass doors. The White Tower simply made this one shelf accessible to miss prissy pants! Once she discovers she can walk across that shelf, their are 3 more that are even more problematic…ugh!
Well, no shelves anymore and glass doors with locks.
Over- exploring is a real problem. If you don’t talk to your kittens about over-exploring, who will???
MOL!
so true, so true. Has Princeton had ‘the talk’ with Prudie and Preslee???
Indeed, Princeton has tutored them too well! MOL!
