There’s More Than One Turtle Around Here

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

The Kid Sage is always showing off her famous ‘turtle moves‘ and what not. I decided it was time to let everyone know that I also know how to create my very own turtle shell. So “pffffttt” to my roomie TKS!!

pffttt

Of course, I did not expect to be captured on digital camera nor a smart phone either. Just what in MOUSES ‘is’ a smart phone after all? Does it walk? Talk? Feed me?

I think I'm safe...no one around to see me

I think I’m safe…no one around to see me

Alas, my first thoughts were not to be proven as true.

NOOO!!! Caught with my turtle shell on!

NOOO!!! Caught with my turtle shell on!

But then what the heck, right? Nothing to be embarrassed about. Nope, not a thing. I was just trying this Nip N Nap mat on for size. What did you say? Are you asking if there was perhaps a ‘peacock feather’ involved?  Seriously? Me?

The truth is out; I chase a peacock feather wherever it takes me

The truth is out; I chase a peacock feather wherever it takes me

Do any of you have secret ways you like to play by yourself? Come on, you know you all do…give it to me…share in comments…what are the crazypants things you do when you think no one is watching????

PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

peeEssI truly hope my readers will visit me on Monday when I launch my next PAW IT FORWARD PROJECT. This will be focused on Adult Homeless Foster Cats. I will be interviewing adult homeless foster cats from Community Concern 4 Cats. There will be one interview per month for September, October, November and December in my effort to bring light on the challenges of all rescues who foster adult cats…when even though they are healthy, no human seems to want them…and so the foster humans are forced into becoming unsanctioned ‘sanctuaries’…especially for those adult and senior felines who have special needs. I want to shine a light on the courageous efforts of these fosters who are often these felines last hope of living a life other than feral.

  3. One whiff of the human Dad’s shoes get us all crazy… when know one is looking, of course…

  4. I love to knock things out of the kitchen window at night while I’m chasing Bugs!!😺

  5. I don’t like the Mom to take pictures of me playing. ~Socks

Yin and Yang are SUPPOSE TO BE FOSTERS, THEY WERE ONLY SUPPOSE TO BE HERE FOR A WEEKEND. Then Yang almost dies and Mommy promised to keep him if he lived. We thinks youngest boy is going to claim them as his. Daddy says we have to rehome them if he doesn’t. ~Scylla

PeeS: Don’t tell anybody but I was playing with them the other day when Mommy was cooking, but my official stance is HISS HISS GROWL.

  6. Savvy, I love divebombing under my boogie mat and hiding. Or at least I think I’m hiding. The mom says she can see me, but I know she can’t. ~Ernie

  7. Great turtle move! I rarely play by myself. It usually happens between 1 am and 7 am when I can be heard playing hockey with my rattle balls and/or rattle shmousies. Did you know yesterday was Remeber Me Thursday to remember shelter and homeless cat who may have died w/o a forever home?

    • Hi BFGF. And I did not know in time to do a post or anything. I think the concept made me too sad as I have a shelter cat from CCHS whom I loved and through volunteer’s and staff lack of attention was allowed to die from dehydration as a result of being outdoors at an adoption event. Makes me tear up just posting this reply

    • I missed that too CK, I am sorry, but will make up for it (maybe not as well as Savvy with her awesome posts, but I will try – I will put in more work with Bootsie and the cats here in NZ.

  14. Savvy, Hell-mut is in love now with the kitty-turtle… hope that goes away after his hibernation… a turtle-guy who sings love songs the whole day is hard candy :o)

  15. Well Savvy i like to play under the throw on the couch..and no one can ever find me because i am so itty bitty and not at ALL the giant ginger girl Mum says i am..it’s great except when someone (Pickles) jumps up and lies on me…we look forward to paw it forward..adult rescues are always a hard one and we have no idea why…i mean Mum says she could not got through kitten training again 🙂 paw pats Dinnerminzt xxx

  16. I do play by myself. When mom comes home she says, “I don’t think this pillow JUMPED off the couch on its own.” She’s right. It didn’t. I do need to try this turtle thing, though. It looks pretty fun!

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  17. I play by myself by killin my toys and carryin em around.

  18. Boodie often plays by herself. She has her favorite toys that she carries in her mouth, while she cries like she’s caught some special prey! She’s kind of weird. I’m really looking forward to your new project!
