Mind you, this is ONLY because I have been far too involved in supporting Mom L in her new volunteer work with the new Director of Animal Services at our Contra Costa County public animal shelter. I am convinced that my former ‘Alma mater’ will begin to demonstrate what true public adoption shelters can do.

Great selfie, Sage! Our mom would love to hear about the changes they are making at the shelter. Our mom is currently working on developing software which will help shelters become more efficient.

TKS, that is an adorable selfie. Congratulations to your human on her title. She deserved to be promoted after all the work and effort she has given.
Mom L is just volunteering!!! We have a new Director of our public county kill shelter and Mom L offered to help her change shelter work processes. Mom L is a retired Organization Effectiveness Consultant…and she is having a blast giving her skills pro bono to the new Director. The new AS Director in just 45 days has already significantly increased live release rate even of ferals using Return to Field.
