Always Testing Boundaries

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Sometimes it’s hard to be the only adult cat in the house. I respect The Kid Sage’s boundaries, if she has any, and all I ask is that she respect mine in turn. Now, I ask you all…is that TOO MUCH to expect from her?

What shall I do about TKS?

What shall I do about TKS?

And yet, she just continues to test, and test my boundaries; which I have been communicating to her since she arrived over a year ago…sigh…no rest for the Princess of the house I guess.

Once again, she has invaded my boundaries on my  our master bed. I snuggle close to Mom L, making sure she knows I am there to take care of her. The Kid Sage spends her morning in an endless search of something that will capture her attention for more than 12 nano seconds.

I just know she is behind me

I just know she is behind me

Then I let down my guard, I relax into a warm Zen like state…and she starts her testing efforts on my boundaries again.

Ohhh...Savvy's tail is so close...I wonder...???

Ohhh…Savvy’s tail is so close…I wonder…???

She simply cannot contain herself.

It's so soft and warm...tap, tap...

It’s so soft and warm…tap, tap…

And there you have the entirety of my problem with boundary training with The Kid Sage. Any suggestions??

How Much Care Does A Human Require?

HIYA!  SAVANNAH HERE!!

A LOT! We just can’t let them out of our sight for long. They don’t seem to be able to manage much without us close by…no matter what ‘form’ we happen be in at the time.

Case in point…Mom L without me or TKS, thinking she is having fun…HA!!…just wait

As you can see, ‘we’ are not with her above,  but when the chips are down…who does she turn to???

She is soooo needy...sigh

She is soooo needy…sigh

Yes, I had to prepare Plush Savvy and Plush Sage for Dad P to sneak into the hospital so Mom l would have us when she came out of the ummmm, errrrr…’back room’…you know the room I mean, right?

Anyway, there we were, just waiting to comfort her, snuggle with her and even give her a giggle or two. You see, not one doctor or nurse or any other person who came into Mom L’s room could resist giving us scritches even in our Plush form. So we not only have to care for Mom L, but a bunch of hospital folks too. Our work is never done when it comes to humans.

Hey Mom L! How ya doing today?

Hey Mom L! How ya doing today?

Finally she came home. And again, we provided immediate close up and personal comforting and snuggles. (please click to bigify and hover over photo to see full captions)

Mom L gave back by pulling herself together, just barely home from hospital, to troubleshoot a problem with one of my scheduled blog posts.  Gotta love my Mom!

She is talking with Miss Julie, the human I borrowed from Ashton, Pierre and Newton from Sometime Cats Herd You. I asked if she could backup Mom L if something went wrong with my scheduled blog posts. A great big THANK YOU to all of them for helping us out.

As you can see Sage and I were right there to make sure Mom L knew we had her back.

I hope you all take good care of your humans; it will come back to you twice over, trust me.

Getting Our Easy On Every Night

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

My personal favorite place to get my easy going each night is on the couch, watching TV near Mom L. (hover over photos to view complete captions)

The Kid Sage, of course, prefers to hang all cuddly and smooshed against Dad P on the foot rest of his recliner (such a suck up cute girl).

How do you get your easy on at night with your humans??

UPDATE on ourDouble Gotcha Day Pawty Celebration…

We receive more Gotcha Day Cards so I put them in a slideshow to share with you. We also received several ecards but Mom L *cuts eyes to side to glare at Mom L* did not keep a list of my pals who sent them. Please forgive me. I am not ignoring you, and I did try to send a thank you reply to each one.
