peeEss…Purrlease do not forget to blog, Tweet or Face Book about these two very special need kittens who MUST find a permanent home…We fear that furriends believe they are “SAFE” in a foster home…but they CANNOT remain here for eternity…just sayin’…they are confined to a room as resident cats are cautious and somewhat fearful of them…

…their Foster Mom and Dad LOVE  them to pieces…Ray Charles is every day emerging into a pawsome, confident and loving and playful brofur…but this is NOT THEIR FURREVER HOME…HELP PURRLEASE!!!

Ray Charles and Sister Rachel deserve their very own furrever castle…won’t you open your heart or the heart of someone you know to allow them in????

Not Our Road Yet…

September 12, 2013

Dearest furriend Nissy

I received your letter about how hard it is for you knowing our pal Dash is gone from us.  I am also still blubbering away when I think of him; Mom has to keep tissues nearby to help me wipe my nose and my eyes are just a swollen mess, I can’t stop them leaking at the oddest times.

If I see something that reminds me of Dash and our incredible adventure with him, I just melt into a bundle of weepy tears…pawful

I don’t like to be held, so when Mom offered to let me just snuggle up close to her so we could meow together about what we remember most about Dash…I jumped right next to her on the couch and settled in to share with her…

savvy remembers Dash

You know Nissy, Dash was makin’ that submarine in his garage…he had a little workshop going there, nothing like my complex steam punk workshop…but still…he was makin’ that sub for us to take on our next search for the long lost nip.

Oh and guess what?  Dash asked me to drive it! So I said sure, but I want pink leather seats…and Dash installed them, just for ME!  What a pal our Dash was….*sob*…wiping leaky eyes…

Sorry…you know what else Nissy, I asked Dash to drive that jeep in New Zealand, Ceiling Cat knows where he got it from…and I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA he could not see very well!! So I let him DRIVE!  He kept saying “always wanted to do this”…I thought he meant go on an adventure…now I know his Mum never let him drive cuz he couldn’t see well…I should have suspected something when he kept bumping into stuff…sigh

And such a super hero our Dash…he worked so hard to save so many Anipals and even peeps…tireless our Dash was, simply tireless.

I had a thought Nissy…something Mom said to me…something about some poem or whatnot…she was reminded of it when I told her about a dream I had last Saturday…

My dream was kind’a weird Nissy—you and I were together in some woods…not Zealandia…just some woods with the sun streaming through the trees…there were two paths…one was not very well used…and the other was obviously traveled by many over time…and in my dream…Dash was part way up on that well-traveled path…when we tried to follow him…well…here…let me draw it for you…

see you again 4

I asked Mom what my dream could mean and she told me about a poem by someone named Robert Frost…The Road Not Taken…not sure what a ‘road’ has to do with my path in my dream…but Mom talked with me ‘bout  some lines in that poem…

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;”

……

Mom said my dream was of those two roads…and Dash was on the one traveled most…but…only when we go to The Bridge…Dash was sending us back to the less traveled road for now…’cuz it isn’t our time to travel The Bridge road yet…later, but not now…

That poem goes on to say…

“…Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference”

Ya see Nissy, Dash wants us to take a new road for now…he can’t come with us…but he knows that new road is where our lives and adventures will continue for a time…

Nissy, it was a nice dream…I felt like you and I got to tell Dash we love him…and you and I got to tell him good-bye

Much luv and soft paw pats, Savvy
