Savannah's Paw Tracks

Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Catching Up

Hiya, Savannah here!

Just a short post today. With a little news and some thoughts about the next few days.

First, thank you so much to efurryone for your kind and encouraging words for Mom, and for your appreciation of my pawsome nursing skills!!

Now about Mom…her middle finger is healing, but OH CAT!  It is so awkward for her to type! She is frustrated ‘ cuz she is slow and makes bunches of mistakes…but her finger is not too painful now. WHEW!

She is off the Fuzzy Head Pills…nice for me and Dad!  But she doesn’t get the stitches out until Monday.

Soooooooooooooo…I just wanna let all of you know that I won’t be around to visit your blogs very much until this weekend, or Monday. I miss efurryone so much. I do really, honestly, I swear…I do read all your bloggies efurry day.  Mom and I get out the iPad first thing efurry morning while we watch Good Morning America with Dad. And we read all your new posts together…we laugh and talk about all the stuff you guys are all up to…nice start to our day…

But, Mom is gonna throw that iPad across the room if she keeps on trying to type comments on blogs and her fingers don’t go in the right places, and that touch screen jumps all around…ohhhhhh…it is noooottttt good….believe me (and Dad)…she gets in a ‘mood’…ugh!

I will try to keep my posts going but they will be short. And we will work to respond to your visits here. Me and Mom  know this is OK with efurryone, and appreciate your patience.

I worry that you may forget who I am and what I look like…’cuz Mom can’t make the FLASH and CLICK thingy work really good right now either …so here are a few shots Mom took recently…hope you will remember me…

…I spent a long time at this window at our front door this morning…there were two kitties across the street…I watched ’em really close so they didn’t come on my front porch…

…and me on my fave Nip ‘N Nap Mat….purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

Paw pats, Savannah

PeeEss

some of you have asked who my Champion is…not to worry…I will reveal his identity when I think the time is right…but he is furrever promised to honor and protect me and keep me safe…pretty cool, huh!…we are the very best of furriends, buddies, and we are both adult rescue survivors living in our furrever homes now…

Glad you are getting all your vet shots and stuff. Thanks auntie Savvy. I was only 4 weeks old when mommy found me! That’s why mommy had to teach me how to eat fwom a bwol. But little Satchie leawned pwetty fast! 🙂

I have good news too. But with big [human] bwother Sewgio hewe, it’ll have to wait a little =^.^=

  6. Hi Darling! Oh, you tell your Mommy she should not worry at all about taking a few days off! Efurryone needs to do that sometimes for one reason or another. She needs to let her finger rest up–after all, it’s an “important” one right? She might need it, oh, maybe when somebody cuts her off in traffic or something!

Hey–my Human has some nice fuzzy-head drugs she gotted a-cause of the kidney stone! The nicest one was the morphine she gotted in the ‘murgency room, but they didn’t give her any of that to take home with her (more’s the pity she says, ha ha meow!)

    • yeah, Mom says she could pay for a huge vacation if she sold what she has MOL!!! And she says she doesn’t do that finger thingy in traffic anymore…Mom and Dad lived in So Cal for 20 years and ya got shot at if ya did that down there…LMAO from MOM!!! She and Dad area soooooooooo happy being back in SF bay area!!!

  7. We hope your mom feels better soon! Nice posing in those photos! 🙂

  8. Hey Savvy, Big Guy here.

Glad to hear Mom is off fuzzy head pills, I took one of those on July 4th to help me get through my panic. No fun.

Savvy, we could NEVER forget you… look at those pics… my favfurrite (ooh, I finally got one!) is the one of you on the bed looking regal. 🙂

Mom always tells, my human sister Rachel, lover of all things by that apple-y company, “one day, when she grows up, she’ll get an IPAD!” She does have an IPhone thingie (she caved last November) and understands your Mom’s screen typing issues. Rachel goes speedy fast and Mom goes s-u-p-e-r s-l-ow!

Give Mom Jetty kisses from me ok? Oh and some JJ hugs (gentle on her finger). xoxoxoxo

    • Oh Jetty!! Isn’t that photo just one of my very best! I look so pretty, not scared or worried! I luvluvluv it! I am so glad you do too! Mom took a couple this morning of my WHOLE BODY!!! She hasn’t been able to get any good ones of me just sort’a walkin’ and stand’in…hope you like them when we use them.

Mom says is she was still working in her consulting business she would get that iPad for your Mom…sigh…but her business failed finally in 2010. Most of her clients retired, or moved on to other companies and Mom just got tired of always chasing business, so she started getting ready for retirement and now, I AM HER RETIREMENT PROJECT!!! woot woot!!!

      oh, yes…here Mom…slurp, slurp…some Jetty kisses…and here’s some JJ hugs…paws wrapped around Mom’s leg MOL

Savannah, you and Dad are taking great care of Mom! I hope she knows that it’s OK to take time to heal. That’s one of the big lessons for those of us who are survivors. It’s a good lesson for everyone, but maybe some people just get it right away!

    • oh, Mom so knows about being a survivor, that is why she is watching my recovery process…and we know adult rescue cats from shelters or formerly feral have so much to give..but our recovery process is complicated, but always worthwhile and comes with moments of so much love…purrrr…I heal Mom, Mom heals me….we both heal Dad…it’s all good, huh Susan??!!!

  16. I agree, forget you Savannah? NOT!!! Mom will be okay soon thanks to all your nursing skills!

    • I know, huh? I really need one of those nursing hat that the @madhatter does for the #wlf nurses. I don’t wanna give up my cool red beret, but the extra nurse hat would be helpful when I have to help out here at home

  17. No way could we furget that pretty face. Your Mommy could use sum “biskit makin” we’re sure. That always helps our Mommy get well. MOL!

  18. Savannah we completely understand and could NEVER forget you! sometimes life and health get in the way of our blogs and good intentions.

I might not be on all day tomorrow. I have a lithotripsy scheduled for 7:30 am and have to be there at 6am. After the anesthesia I may be groggy. We will see!
    We will catch up soon!

    • Oh Miss Caren!!! sending emergency paw hugs, paw pats, purrrrrrrrs right NOW! Hang on…wait a min..OK..tosses package up to jet going over…those supplies are on their way be there in a flash. You take care, paw crossed all is well…(we know Happy Juice in this house, ya won’t be on the blog tomorrow I betcha’…)

  19. We could NEVER forget you! You’re far too cute to ever leave our memories! You just keep on nursing mom and protecting the house from those across the street cats!

  20. Awww… your poor mom! Well, our mom can’t type even with healthy hands – so she can relate! Ha roo roo roo!
    Play bows,
    Zim

  21. Savvy, you’re doing so well considering the constraints but they’re stretching you in new ways that are very endearing 😉 Hugs and pawpats to Mom (Dad’s doing great too, admit it!)

  22. Oh Savvy tell your mom not to worry. We ain’t going anywhere 🙂 Glad she is improving ! Tell her iPawd’s can be difficult when you have all working fingers and opposable thumbs! lol xox
