Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Tail Whiffies…Score for TKS!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Our mornings in bed with Mom L are pretty special. Sometimes I allow TKS to actually rest on Mom L’s lap even though I am snuggled right up tight against her legs.

But…as you can imagine…TKS can never be polite. She must always take advantage of my moments of complete relaxation as Mom L is lightly stroking me…

purrs and zzzs

She cannot seem to leave well enough alone…na’mean?

suspicions

The Kid Sage just doesn’t seem to have any impulse control.

the inhale

Do you have fur family who are like her? If yes, then come on and ‘dish’ in my comments and tell me your best story about a time one of your fur family lost their impulse control to the point of making you wanna give out a smacky paw…go on…I dare ya!

PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

peeEss…I probably won’t be able to visit much for a few weeks. I think Mom L will type for me until end of June…but then I am gonna give her a leave of absence so she can get us moved. I hope you will all stick with me over the next two months and forgive me for being so rude by not leaving comments. We do have a home to go to in case I forgot to tell you; just not one we can be in for a long time…but we have a home together. I will post more on Face Book in the next weeks to come.

We are constantly stepping out of bounds with each other. Misty May is always on Astrid’s case. Bedtime can be the worst when we are all jockeying to get the best positions next to Mom. Hissing and smacky paws often ensue. Our mom is sending yours lots of love and hugs. Be good girls for your mom. This is a stressful time for your humans. Allie: Just breathing the same AIR as Faraday can get on my nerves…!

  8. Lola: Oh yes, Lexy is just like that! She sniffs me ALL the time! And I just can’t be bothered! Rude!

Lexy: Lola, we are sisters. Get over it. Or I’ll come over there and lick your head.

Lola: OK, never mind then. *shudders*

Good luck with your move, Savvy. Our paws are crossed for you.

  9. We understand completely, Savvy, while we’re preparing for moving too 🙂 We don’t have FB, but we hope everything will get smoothly. Good Luck Pawkisses are on the way 🙂 ❤

  10. We hope the moving is as smooth and painless as can be for all of you. Emma is a bit proprietary with the human mom and usually a whapping ensues when Buster gets too close to snuggling Emma and mommy. Buster never learns, he keeps joining the snuggle and gets hissed at or whapped.

  11. Thats some pretty close tail touching!

  16. I don’t like it at all when my brothers try to sniff, well, you know where, but I have to admit, I do it to them once in a while too. We just moved last October/November so we know what an ordeal it is. Hope it goes well for you.

  17. Hey Savvy! No worries, we shall early await wooos return, glad a place was found! And let me tell you, I know a little elkhound with no impulse control BOL BOL BOL, she is always attacking me an chomping me an chasing me! Play bows my furiends,

  19. Savvy, TKS sounds like Ernie…a real pain in the patootie sometimes! Paws up for finding a new home…and we purr all goes well with the move.

Well, we don’t get to go on the humans’ bed, but Lightning always manages to butt in when I am getting some nice loving from Mom or Dad – he just bolts right in and pushes the human paw to his furs instead. Hope the move goes well.

I’ll trade you, Savannah. Hitch for TKS? He keeps trying to trap me in the litter box room. Well, it’s more like a closet than a room. And it has 2 ways to enter/exit so no other kitty can’t rap you….but he still try sand I refuse to walk the 6 feet to the other exit , so we wake up the entire household while he sits outside the door I want to use and I meow, spit, hiss and yowl at the top of my voice. HuMom says we’re both pains in her backside, but really it’s Hitch’s fault. If he’d just realize that I’m the Queen of the Castle and behave accordingly, everyone could live happily ever after. Well I could anyway.
Best of luck dealing with your pest. Let me know if you want to trade.
    Mistletoe

  22. We’re just happy you have a home to go to – together……no worries – you know by now that we will ALWAYS be back when you’re back…..it’s what BEST FRIENDS do!!! We love you all……..and hope the move goes smoothly.

    Hugs, Sammy

  23. Henry does this every morning to Oscar when jumping on our bed. Guarantee hissing every time 🙂

  24. Hope your move goes well . Paw smackers goes on here a lot, sometimes if one of the furkids is just occupying space and a molecule is used up by another furkid LOL. Hey you , your breathing my air.

  25. Oh, furblings have a habit of sniffing you in the nether parts when you least expect it. Ashton objects to Newton doing it, especially! We understand that getting moved and settled is going to be your first priority for a while. We’re purring for a smooth transition for all of you.

  26. Don’t worry, we all understand what you are going through – we are here for you!

  27. that TKS knows no mercy, huh? …butt I’ve heard to sniff a tail means I love you :o) I will stick with ya, of course… and I hope you will find a wonderful new Casa Savannah… and don’t furget to take the funny birds from your garden with you when you move :o)

  28. Oh tell me about the bum sniffing! Miranda does it ALL the time!!! Harvey too!

    Silver

  29. I are probably da one wif da lack of control – well, me and Crockett both don’t know when to leave Angie alone.

  30. No worries about not posting while the four of you move to a new place – I think everybody understands!
And for stories about getting too close:
My two like to sniff each other’s bum all the time. BUM, not just the tail! But the smacks usually come at other opportunities – when one has a grumpy-day – and the other just passes by. Sometimes I can hear the claws touching skin. That is cats for you. Five minutes later they are standing in front of me, begging for treats side by side without the least aggression.
