Rediscovering Some Wild Moves
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
Do you guys remember when I first arrived in my forever castle? It was almost FOUR WHOLE YEARS AGO!! No kidding, seriously!
Now, do you remember that fantastic high cat tree Mom L and Dad P had waiting for me? Some of the volunteers at my former shelter said “Savannah doesn’t really play”. HAH!!
Check out my moves just a few months after I was officially ADOPTED!
Sadly, once we moved to our next home, I didn’t play on that tower like that for 2 1/2 years. And then when we moved again a couple of months ago to another new rental home…guess what??…go on…guess???
YOU GOT IT!! I found my tall cat tower again! It must have been right there in front me all along at that last place but I never got really comfy there. But HERE! I am turning into a new former adult shelter cat!! Check out my wild new upper body work out moves…using my tower.
Tell me about some of your crazypants moves when you play on your towers! And my woofie pals I know sometimes get to playin’ zoomies…so tell me about where you like to do that.

I don’t really do towers indoors! I thought that was a very good right paw stabilising technique! 🙂

Miss Savannah, your moves are excellent. And I appreciate your comments about how different surroundings can inspire different feelings. I am really glad you have rediscovered the joys of your cat tree!
I never had a tower and my arthritis keeps me from even getting up on a chair these days to play (!) but I’m impressed with your “tower moves” Savvy! Sometimes we forget things that we have right in front of us – towers, toys, etc. – then we “SEE” them again and wow – new stuff!

Great moves but I couldn’t believe my BFGF was holding on for dear life with one paw. Gramma used to call Autumn a “dud” cos she didn’t play. When we inherited her and moved to this condo, he was anything BUT a dud. She played like a wild woman until the cancer took over.

Brilliant! We have had such issues with our cat tower, Mum thought it smelled funny, then she asked someone and they didn’t think it did, … but now Summer is coming so we are learning to enjoy it. (Dad is muttering typical cat – at your antics – Never throw a Cat Tree away!)

You are very daring up there, S. When I do zooming around the house, Mom says I fly like a bird. If I’m going fast enough, I can fly from the chair across the living room to the couch on the opposite wall. Mom says it’ll be a real wake-up call the first time I miscalculate the distance. Duh. Why would I do that??

We luv our tower – the craziest kitty to ever use it wuz Maurice, he would lay upside down and act like he wuz runnin by movin his paws up against da next level.

The wildest move of my tom occured when he hunted a house fly. He jumped about 4 feet up, turned to his side and swatted the fly (did not catch it). He landed ok, he is a cat.
