My Progress is Showing
HIYA SAVANNAH HERE!!
Oh My Cat! What a most incredible week I had! Talk about makin’ progress in my recovery from trauma I experienced before my current castle home—and all in just ONE WEEK!
Guess it takes a couple for biped little people to push me into becoming more and more brave and confident. Mom L and Dad P continue to tell me I am safe in my castle home, but I still worry a bunch sometimes. My castle home was invaded by strangers from another country. There were four bipeds and two of them were like tiny little bipeds—sort’a like kittens, na’mean?
I know that I was teased by high pitched, frantic voiced bipeds before my forever castle home, because I cannot stand hearing high pitched noises that are loud. Those sounds are much like the tiny bipeds who visited me last week.
Check out my coolness just hangin’ around when the little bipeds were playin’ just above me in the dining room.
Mom L was astonished that I was chillax’in on my fave spot on the couch when the girls were just above me in our dining room playing.
Yes, their voice were strange cuz they talked with this accent that I couldn’t figure out. But, I got curious about two days into their stay and started to hang out under that dining table to just listen to them.
That morning, I was so chillax’d just like nothing else was happening. (hover over photo to view captions please)
I started doing this almost everyday when those little female bipeds were within’ my hearing range.
Mom L and Dad P made sure that TKS and I both had a sort’a “sanctuary” space in our master bedroom where we could just hang out and nap without little bipeds hoverin’ around.
And the first thing ya know, there we were sharin’ that special sun puddle upstairs just a foot apart.
Now no little biped got to touch my glorious Russian Blue furs, but as you all know, TKS is not so particular.
TKS was not above getting those pets from just one little biped.
Now I know my photos are not top drawer and that Mom L has one of our litter boxes in the background. But let me tell you, just try gettin’ photos of four and half year old bidped twins AND cats that don’t have some clutter somewhere, na’ mean?
Those of you who have followed me my whole four years of blogging know that this was a REALLY huge step forward in my progress toward recovering from unknown, but serious, trauma before Mom L and Dad P snatched me up to give me my forever castle.
And now why did Mom L scratch out all the other mentions of my castle, and change it to my home? Because even though I am still my Dad P’s Princess, I now have a friend in TKS and my home is indeed a home, not just my castle. Hope you understand. If not, just ask me in comments what the difference means to me.
PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

Wow, Savvy, we are so proud of you. We know how hard and long a fight it can be to gain confidence. We experience the same thing with Astrid. You are truly brave to have those munchkins around and not hide UTB. Keep up the wonderful progress. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Savvy, we are so super proud of you! 🙂

You did great, Savvy ! We’re so proud of you ! The girls seems to pet TKS very gently. Purrs
It looks like you did very well, Savvy! I hope you were rewarded handsomely.
That is great! Such cute little girls, they look like they were very gentle with TKS.
“fess up, BFGF. Are you on Prozac? I don’t think I’ll ever come out of UTB when Violet and now her little brother come over here.
This is such good news, Savvy! We hope you continue to make progress like this. Pretty soon, you and TKS will be snuggling together. Well…maybe you won’t go THAT far. 😉
Hi Savannah… Sounds like your week was an adventure of discovery in every way. Little peeps can be fun, but I can understand your caution. You did way better than I would have. Purrs from your still rained on pal. ERin
We have lots of little ones around here, but at first it is hard getting used to them. They can be loud and they move fast. But we discovered that they also are good at leaving crumbs under the talbe:)

Ya did great!
You allowed the small bipeds to pet you? EXCELLENT! Purrs.

Great job Savannah, honey, you are loved and you can drop your reservations now. It’s also so heartwarming to see you and TKS in close proximity with your body language all relaxed.

Wow you were so brave Savannah we would have gone to hide in the garden if those little ones were running about here!

Khumbu, Kyra and Rita
ARWOO! and play bows Khumbu! Thank you for letting me know you can see my progress. I am brave because I know my Sibe pals always have my back!
that’s so GREAT… I remember the beginnings and to see you today is just a reason to say WOOOOHOOO!
Once there’s so much love inside, I think a castle changes to a home. Is that what happened with you, S?
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Way to go, Savvy! You really have come a long way. Strange humans always make us hide, too, but the idea of hiding under the table where they’re sitting? Only Newton will do that. You’re brave!
Well done Savvy, you’re turning into a really brave kitty,xx Speedy
You are getting brave.I’ve followed you from the beggining and it’s remarkable.
How awesome, Savannah! I think you could sense the little girls were nice, and I’m also sure you felt safe because you knew your humans would protect you. But what long road to learning that! I really enjoy seeing your progress.
What wonderful progress you have made, Savvy! You are truly home, at last.
We, too, sometimes have to put up with twin female bipeds, plus their little sister. They are our human cousins, Mummy’s nieces. But only Shimshi lets them pet him.
Purrs to you and to TKS .
Aaaaw, I KNEW TKS would let the girls touch her 😉 And yes, Savvy, 4 and a half year old humans are kittens. I’d say like 4 week old kittens … able to walk by themselves and not needing Mommy’s milk anymore – but still they have to learn so much!
Funny that you say something about a British accent – I only ever hear a difference when I hear them side by side – as if both were singing the same song but one sings “second voice” …
I’m so happy that you and TKS are becoming “sisters” and “friends” and not just two cats occupying the same space. It takes time to trust….. as for the little bipeds – they are adorable and I love that you took a chance and got close enough to spy on them (!!!)………sounds like it wasn’t as bad an experience as it would have been four years ago. GOOD FOR YOU!
Love, Sammy
Bravo Savvy Bravo…yes biped little ones can be a true test 🙂 especially twins as i well know! but you made super big strides and should be so proud..and i know what you mean by home..it’s a better place than a castle! Loves Miss Bev xxx
Welcome home, Savannah!
