Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Let the Photo Captions Roll!!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

If you visited me last Wednesday then you will recall that I offered my readers the opportunity to put some words into a few kitties’ mouth’s!!

I giggled reading the captions, hope you do to. Here ya go with all the captions from my readers.

11. This is what I think about you guys!

You guys are all the best blogville pals ever for pawticipating!!

I was laughing my furry tail off reading your captions. Gotta luvluvluv Two French Bulldogs creativity about aliens at the stabby place!! Right?? Totally what it feels like goin’ to that place!

If you have a particular favorite set of captions you wanna give a shout out to in a comment, please do. The authors will be so proud you acknowledged them!

A special message to all my readers who are sticking with me in 2017. I know I have been a rotten buddy when it comes to leavin’ comments and whatnot. For that I am so very regretful, but I can only do so much without Mom L’s thumbs. I hope you unnerstand—sigh. My reader views are so far down since November 2016 that it looks like Mom L and I may have to decide to toss in the kitty litter and call my blog quits. I’ll let ya know in the next few weeks what we decide.

No matter what, it has been my privilege as a former adult shelter cat to try and make a difference for all those kitties and woofies who have no voice like I do. Thank you all for following me and keeping hope alive for all those rescue kitties and woofies who are left behind.

Until next time—

PAW PATS, SAVANNAH

PeeEss—remember Momma Kat. I do not know how long it will take. Momma has no inquiries and same for her kittens. It looks like MK was a feral 1-2 year old. Thus, she is very shy, only beginning to become socialized. She does have a sweet nature, can be picked up, and is comfortable with other cats. I am hoping the rescue will give her a new name. I hold her Momma Kat Hope Chest in storage so that it will go with her whenever she finds her true home.

However, I have had a sad fallout with the rescue and they no longer trust me. This rescue is a truly honorable organization and I know I am at fault for their lack of trust in me. I don’t know what to do so I continue to fulfill the promise I made to MK in my heart…I will stick with her until she has a home. I just wish she had more updates on her progress. Purrlease hold MK in your hearts and prayers.

OMC those are the bestest!!!!! We wish our Mom was creative and could have thought something fun up but fffftttttt! She isn’t. Thank goodness she has opposable thumbs! Don’t give up on your bloggie Savvy. Do it for the love of it and quit worrying about how many views you have. There are a lot of bloggers like us who got busy and aren’t blogging as much either. We go to visit friends and they haven’t posted in ages and then some have just started back up. I think that it was a rough fall for many of us. Keep you chin up about the rescue. 2017 is a new year and sometimes you just have to make a fresh start of things and not put such pressures on yourselves. We luvs you and support you whatever you choose but want you to know we never judge or we would be found very lacking too.

  3. Well, I certainly think Mom L needs to do what is in her heart. And if her heart is not in blogging anymore, we will understand. I’d sure hate to see you go, though. But Mom L is doing big and great things for kitties, which is what truly matters. I really wish MK would find that forever home sooner than later. But it’s wonderful that Mom L is sticking by her.

  4. I so enjoyed all the pictures and the captions are fantastic. Sorry about the fallout sweet Linda. I have not been the best at visiting and commenting on blogs for sometime. That does not mean that I do not enjoy your blog and others but we do what we can. Please don’t stop blogging, you have always had very interesting posts and you do so much to help and encourage people to save and adopt. I know you will come up with the right answer and do what you feel is best, I just hope that includes blogging. Prayers for MK, her kitties and you. Love and hugs, Maggie

Those were all great, I especially enjoyed Austins.
Please don’t give up blogging, you do so much to help kitties and spread the word for those in need- plus you are lots of fun.
    I am praying for Momma.

Hilarious captions, my tux is not for sale, and BearCat’s one way only. 😅 They were all very funny. I would miss you if you gave up blogging. A lot of bloggers do only two or three posts a week. But blogging is a lot of work, and I know that you have other things to take care of too. Sharing for MommaKat.

  7. HAH! I like Bear Cat’s captions but they were all good. As far as numbers, you should be blogging for enjoyment and not be a slave to numbers. That said, we don’t look at our GA numbers, just our blogger numbers that are higher. However (you like all these caveats?) TW often says if she ever felt like she was writing for herself, she’d pack it in. I feel strongly your blog serves a purpose but your actions speak even louder. Hugs, your BFGF

    • Thank you BFGF. I only look at my WordPress data. I never use Google stuff. Pffftt!!! I think Mom L and I need to do something about “how to use social media to support feline rescues”. We have learned a lot from trying to help MK and it has been a harsh learning for Mom L. Sometimes her words seem fine to her and Dad P but to others it comes across as threatening and slanderous. Mom L is at wit’s end as to how to help MK anymore. Just heartbreaking.

  8. We enjoyed reading all of these captions. They made us MOL!

We’re sorry to hear the news about Momma Kat, but we continue to purr for her and hope she can still find the home she so deserves.

Oh Savvy – we don’t have a blog and don’t always comment, but we read and enjoy. That said, we want you and Mom L to do what is best – and we are sorry about Mama Kat and praying for her and her kits ! `We would love to take her, but a Momma Kat said, we are too far away – and there are 11 of us and a beagle whose Elkhound pal just went to the Bridge.

    • oh Mary thank you for letting me know you read my bloggie. I have gone from almost 200 views every blog post to just over 60. I am very sad that so many have stopped even reading even if they don’t leave comments. Sometime if you have time please let me and Mom L know what you enjoy most about my bloggie. Maybe we can improve it. thank you and purrs and paw pats

  10. We LOVE these, and we love Austin’s inspired titles the best!!! What brilliant work by everyone!

I’m sorry about MK rescue not being supportive BUT we will continue to help find her a home!

  11. Savannah, these are so much fun! And now all of my furbabies want a “one way” sign for when their vet goes for a temperature reading. (I don’t blame them!)

We continue to purr and pray for Momma Kat! It’s a shame that a rescue would push away someone so willing to help, but we have no doubt at all that you have Momma Kat and all kitties in your best interest. We won’t give up on her!

  12. I LOVE those captions! Yup, love each and every one of ’em, for sure. PURRS.

    Purrs,
    Seville

  13. Adorable photos – you did get a lot of FUN captions from peeps! You must remember that blogging is a FUN thing and if it becomes “not fun” then it’s time has come and gone. I wondered if I should continue blogging once I went to the Bridge…..I did lose a few followers but I GAINED even more. Follow your heart – that’s my advice and my Mom agrees with me Savvy. Just know that no matter WHAT you decide, I’m super proud of you and always have been. Always.

    Love, Angel Sammy

  14. They are all lovely images, and they make us all happy. But I am so saddened that there has been a rift develop, I do hope that it can be sorted for all concerned, who are all good and kind folk. Purrs that Momma Kat and kittens can have a new home ASAP!

  15. Wait. What? There’s a rescue that lost trust in YOU?? This is something I cannot even comprehend. Ugh.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  16. OMC, these are hilarious! I wish I were as creative!

  17. So many things to comment on …
    1) blogging about saving cats vs. ACTUALLY working to save cats … I think Mom L is on the right side of that one Savvy. It’s true that a human only has so many hours … and taking into account one’s talents and what truly matters to a person … some things just have to fall to the wayside.
1a) if it comes to commenting on our blog or saving cats … please save cats.
    2) that said, we do hope you keep blogging for a number of reasons … your sense of humor, you fuel our creativity, we’re inspired by your stories (the ferals in HI, Momma Kat, TNR …) and reminded that it’s not enough to just crow about cats on our blog. In sum, I think your blog inspires others to action, which is a talent that is not common.
    3) LOVE the captions 🙂
    4) We’re sad about Momma Kat. I had crazy thoughts (I live halfway across the country after all) about adopting her … but my vet reiterated that Bear is probably best as an only. If I still didn’t have the horror of living with Bear and Kitty together, I’d ignore him … but that time was pretty brutal for everyone/cat (and I still blame myself for Kitty’s death … yeah she was 15 and had serious problems, but I wonder if I hadn’t adopted Bear – meaning that he probably would’ve died from the dangers of being homeless – if she would’ve lived longer … or maybe she’d just been hanging on until she knew I’d be okay …).

  18. hahaha yes… that tux is not for sale… and it is priceless… and super precious ;o)

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
