Kit Katie aka KK aka Katie 2020 Beginnings
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
Katie, as we normally use when talking with her, has had a great start to her 2020 continuing recovery progress. As most of you know, sweet Katie spent her first five months in a hoarding situation. She was forever living in a dark, no windows open, one litter box one bedroom with the human and 25+ cats and kittens. At age five months, when Mom L and Dad P rescued her, she had already had a litter of kittens, most likely deceased. She was terrified and only moved in a “slinking” position.

I want to share some of her recent moments, just since 2020 began. First, you all know how much I luvluvluv my tent Mom L makes for me on our bed every morning. Well, lately, TKS has been getting there before I can. And now! Katie!!!
Oddly, Katie often prefers to jump on top of the tent, collapse it and then take her nap on the blanket pile. Strange KK!
Katie has also taken after her mentor, TKS, and found a mad crazy desire for the humans’ chicken dinners! Of course, Dad P just encourage her!

Dad P is incorrigible and allows her a bit more than a sniff. Much to Mom L’s shock.
Reallly? I can take a taste??!!
And of course Katie just had to start 2020, just last night, by giving Mom L another almost certain hysterical attack of impending doom! Our Dare Devil Katie.
As most of you know, Katie has a permanent limp on her right front leg. The radiologist said it looked like she had some trauma in kittenhood that caused her right shoulder joint to not form properly and there is no socket for the right leg to attach to. Nothing can be done and so far this does not hold Katie back one bit. Just makes her more special to us.

You gotta just love KK. She knows she’s home and even you put up with her. Tell her and TKS that yesterday I jumped on the table and stole a piece of virginia ham from TW’s plate.
That most certainly is a great start to 2020. Way to go, Katie!

Katie looks as if she is very happy and starting 2020 off full of vim and vinegar as the old folks say. Although why you would want to be full of vim and vinegar we don’t know? (supposedly it’s a good thing).
It makes our heart happy to know the three of you get along and she has a home with you. We are so very proud of you Savvy.
Katie is really settled in and that makes us so happy. When a kitty from a bad situation is given a new lease it is wonderful. One of our Angels, Pee Girl, and no she did not pee all over, had a bad hip joint from something before we found her at the SPCA. They offered to “remove the leg” but we said NO and she lived a long happy life with Dad with a very cute limp. We LOVE rescue. Thanks for helping her friends

This is what makes me and all the others happy. This story of Katie after her unspeakable life prior to your help makes me cringe for all the suffering and pain and oh, thank you for rescuing them.

After such an awful start in life, Katie is doing wonderfully well.
I’m so happy to see all the progress Katie is making!
I wanted to say she is coming on in leaps and bounds, butdont want to tempt fate esp. seeing that last picture, MOL. Katie is delightful and the credit has to to go to her immediate feline and human family for sticking with her through thick and thinner and making the best choice a homeless feline could have made for them.
