Monday Meowsie News: Nap routine shifts at my castle

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I have posted something about the latest changes in my castle napping routine on Mom L’s Facebook page. But I know lots of you do not see that. I think it is another part of how I am managing my openness and progress with Katie and yes, even TKS, after we have been together for about six years.

As you know I have always preferred to nap alone in my special places. Why even my trusted pet sitter Miss Kandi realized she was interrupting my nap on my couch when she came to visit, but she knew I could not miss out on her pawsome head massage.

Well I think I may have digressed from my original intention of ~~bragging~~ updating you on my progress relative to hanging out with “the other girls” in my castle.

So first of all, KK found out about the back of the couch after we bought her a new blankie from Miss Peggy Marting.

That led to this.

And then that led to another “this”!!

Yep!! All three of us on the couch napping one lovely morning.

Then we tried out this configuration.

Yeah I know the bed is a mess, BUT, check out how close we all are!

Then this happened just a day ago. Dad P purposefully placed blankies strategically on our master bed just to see if we might all “line up”. And we did!!

I just keep on showing more and more of my REAL SELF! Even though I am now hard of hearing, I can smell and feel movement when KK and TKS come near me. And yet, I am more tolerant. Time, patience and love.

Savannah’s Family Photos

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I asked Mom L to round up some recent photos of me, TKS and KK so’s I can share with all of you what a great furamily we are!

Life is great every morning!

I am gonna start with TKS. She is our family’s bond between me and KK and she is the equal opportunity kitty in our furramily. TKS will sit in any lap available. KK is tending to be more bonded with Dad P right now which causes Mom L a bit of tears, but we are sure KK is finally warming up to Mom L. And of course I have always been and will always be a Momma’s kitty. Of course I adore my Dad P cuz he feeds me and submits to my every demand. And I do allow him to brush me and pet me etc. But—Mom L is my purrsonal person and I know I am her pursonal kitty.

Moving on with more of TKS showing off her bootiful black panfur furrs.

Of course we still have the ongoing effort from KK to bond with me. What can I say—I am a KK magnet!

KK is hard for Mom L to photograph ‘cuz she is always moving. But, Mom L managed over the last couple of months to grab some KK special photos.

You can see that KK finally got to have her time in my tent on our master bed. I didn’t mind ‘cuz I was starting to hang out more downstairs. You ca also see that KK has become courageous enough to sit on the arm of Dad P’s chair and beg for pieces of his chik-hen dinner!! MOL!!

Most of you recall that KK has serious dental challenges ahead of her. She came to us with severe gingivitis at five months old and that has turned into stomatitis. She had a dental in February and had eleven extractions. You can see in this photo that she has problems sometimes getting her lips and mouth to coordinate because they removed her upper right canine toofie.

KK is getting the very best care from our vet, but she will likely have all her toofies extracted later this year.

And now for my photos. Mom L totally luvluvluv’s my toesies! Go figure! You can see my hind paws with my pink toe beans. And of course you all know how much I adore being on my carpeted stairs for play and to enjoy a sun puddle.

The last photos of me are part of Mom L’s ongoing effort to capture my eyes in natural light. For some reason, Mom L seems to find my face very precious and she knows I find her face precious to me as well. We are bonded forever.

When stressed, get a massage

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I bet’cha all of you have been having the same “shelter in place” stressful week we have had. Mom L called my pet sitter Miss Kandi to come over and help relieve some of my stress I was collecting from Mom L and Dad P. Oh my, what a great session we had.

First I arrange myself on my massage table; my stairs. I anchor my front with on paw on top of the step and the other on the bottom of the step and my hind paws anchor my butt.

Ok, you can start, deep tissue work today, OK?

Miss Kandi has the longest nails and they sink into my furs and rub and scritch all along my spine—heaven!!

Ahhhh….that’s just the spot between my shoulders

She just has a magical way of manipulating all my vertebrae from my neck to my tail.

Oh my, yes! The cervical area has been giving me some problems. Excellent!!

The first part was just fabulous and needed to take a bit of a break to collect my Zen space.

Whew—just what I needed

Next she moved onto my cranial massage portion.

Whoa!! I knew my brow area was feeling tense

Then to the base of my skull.

ohhhh—could you just leave your nails sunk into that muscle a moment more please?

Lastly, Miss Kandi always addresses my lower lumbar area, right around my taileo.

Ummmm—here it comes—I can’t help myself

She always get me to achieve total EB aka “Elevator Butt”.

Sweet!!!

After Miss Kandi was done, all I could do was sit on the stairs and try to collect my thoughts and emotions. But for sure, my stress level was way down.

I hope all of my readers and blog pals and their families can find a stress release like I did with Miss Kandi. These are troubling times and I know we all need to lean on each other for comfort and care.
