Service Cat: Distracting Mom on Friday
Hiya, Savannah here!! What a morning on Friday! Mom never heard from the doc who was supposed to call her about getting Happy Juice during her procedure Friday.
So, she was really, really worried on Thursday night. Had bad dreams…so I cuddled ever so close with her all night…I am a good Service Cat!
Friday AM…she called the surgery place to ask about her Happy Juice doc…they said, “oh no…you just get Numb Juice in your finger…”
Mom: “Oh Shrimp!!! NO WAY! I’m so outta here…not happening, totally not happening!!!”
Nurse: “ok lady, calm down…no problem..did ya eat anything since midnight??? No, then you are good to go…the Happy Juice doc will call”
And he did…Mom was set for her Happy Juice…whew!!!
But still, Mom was a teeny bit nervous. She knew she had to get my notes typed in for a couple of posts and I have such a back log of comments to make so’s my furriends know I visit. So she was kind’a picking stuff up in our bedroom before heading to our office…
She walked by my, I was in my Safe Place…dragging my new Da Bird Orange Feather toy (luv it!!)…so I thought…DISTRACT HER!!!
…and I grabbed for DB…
..then I acted crazy silly…she laughed…
…Dad did the FLASH and CLICK…and Mom was relaxed and ready for her Happy Juice doc…
See…I am a really talented and caring Service Cat…thank Cod we all share this furrever home of mine!!!

Humans don’t realize how much we really do to keep them healthy and happy.
too bad, huh? Maybe then they wouldn’t be so fast to run us over, abandon us, kill us…I don’t know how anyone can continue to feel completely alone if they are softly stroking a dog or cat. Dad and Mom touch me just to help make themselves feel better, they both find great pleasure in just watching me bather myself or sleep
Good job, Savannah! Your people are totally lucky to have you, and I’ll bet if you could sit next to your mom during her procedure she wouldn’t need the happy juice at all!
you are so right Bernadette! Dad likes to fall asleep with his hand on my butt…cute, huh? And Mom just likes to watch me breathe! We all help each other relax and live life…nice!

Good luck with you weight loss. I am eating Iams® ProActive Health™ Adult Indoor™ Weight & Hairball Care and it seems to be really helping. I am more active then I have been in a long time. We were also getting canned catfood, but the store didn’t have the weight loss formula last time the Mom was there so she is going to have to find it somewhere else. Hi Scylla…you know weight all depends on your height and age…I am five years old, and I am kind’a medium boned for a girl cat…Mom says I walk like a ‘jock’! MOL And I am pretty strong, lots of solid muscle. But I know you will be successful in getting down to the weight that makes you feel the best! I am so happy you are more active already, nice, huh? As soon as I can find this cat nutrition information I read, I will send it to you. It was really helpful in planning what I needed to do to be a better weight and eat more healthing food. I never knew us cats had such a unique metabolism!

Oh poor Mommy! We didded not know she was having finger surgery! I guess it must be over now? Hope it wented good and that she is all better now. I really hope that this does interfere with the good service she needs to provide to you! Really, you have your standards! Keep cool over there where it’s hot! We have the cools here 😉
You know Spitty, we only just got kind’a warm over here in EB today, Mnday. It has been soooooo nice! we get the morning fog from the bay coming over the Oakland hills AND we get some fog from the Carquinez Straits too…and thanks for wishes for Mom. She just was able to take off big bandage today, it kept her from licking her wound…and now she has band aids on it, so I have to keep my eyees on her to make sure she doesn’t mess around and try to lick it now! What a chore!

Mommy doesn’t even want to THINK about a procedure without being Totally Happy. Good job Savvy, you really stepped up to the plate. (Even though no foods were involved…peeps have weird sayings, just sayin’.)
oh so true, Miss Tricia. Mom is now on the Fuzzy Headed Pills. She is not too happy now. But in a month, it will be worth it!
