My Thankful Thursday Thoughts
Hiya! Savannah Here!
Lots for me to be thankful about this Thursday. I don’t always do a “Thankful Thursday” post, but really felt like I wanted to today.
I have successfully made my move from my first furrever home and am now with Dad and Mom in OUR new home. I know that no matter what happens in our future, they will never ever leave me like others have. I am a very happy cat.
…I am thankful for my Mom’s silly singing to me…it makes me know I can be silly to…
…I always do a few flips just to make sure she knows how much I like her voice…
…and I am thankful I have a new safe spot in our bedroom…this is the entrance to our bedroom…see the small chest?…look under it right behind my toy basket…
…yup, that’s ME!…nice and safe…
I hope you all have lots to be thankful for to on this nice Thursday, Paw pats, Savannah

We are happy you look so at home in your new place. Hope mum and dad are taking it easy unpacking xxx
We like your safe spot – wood railings on 3 sides and a nice sturdy wall at yoru back. SCORE!
Awww, sweet Savannah you look so cute there in your safe place. You are coming right along getting familiar with your new home. You will own the whole place very soon. Yes, we do have a lot to be thankful for. Hugs and nose kisses
Hi Chancy and Mumsy!! How are you guys?? Haven’t seen your post for a while, everything OK? And yes, I think all of us rescues have a ton to be thankful for
New houses ROCK!
Kisses
Nellie
you just like to be adventurous Nellie!!
Those are some really cute pictures of you Savannah. Such a beauty. We are so lucky to have found forever homes so we no longer have to walk the streets.
so true! I don’t remember if I was out on the streets, or just dumped by my other family…but I do know it is more fun being in a loving home
I am so pleased!!
thank you so much Basil!
Hi Savannah….well, you did it girl – you made a HUGE move from the safety and security of the first loving home you’d had to the new home and I think deep down you handled it so well because you felt SECURE – you knew ALL of you were moving together – the whole family was going and you weren’t being left behind. Your parents did a wonderful job helping you see the happiness of a real loving home and family. No matter where you go, you’ll ALWAYS have them (and all of us too!!).
Kitty hugs, Sammy
well Sammy, we could not have done it with all our furriends, that is for sure. You have a pawsome weekend! And thanks for letting have some of those extra special SAMMY HUGS!!! They are so great ‘cuz you have extra toes so the hugs are BIGGER!
You’re welcome for the huggies Savvy…..have a super Caturday!
Sam
Wonderful way to say THANK YOU!!! …like your calisthenics…or caTisthenics? and you can do it with a “live-gig” of your mom…what a wonderful life!!!
yup,, no need for CD playing, Mom can sing me through my catisthenics! MOL
You do look happy and safe Savannah – very important the safe thing, I have learnt that now I have to live with an elephant in dog’s clothing.
ELEPHANT!! Zena, I thought owning Elephants was illegal! Even if they dress up as dogs! OMC! be very, very careful
Sweet Savannah, I am so happy you’ve found your perfect forever home.
awwwww Rumble, thanks loads. I am pretty catgone happy
Oh dear Savannah, Minnie and I send you our love and lots of good kity thoughts…you are home and so very loved and needed….just like Minnie was when we first adopted her to live with us and this year she will be 18….you are very much loved Savannah by us and by your family:) And you are beautiful:) I sing to Minnie Mouse all the time too and my voice is not that great but she loves me anyway and thinks my songs about her are beautiful:)
Mom doesn’t sing so great either, but she does it all just for me and she makes up words and stuff. And Minnie is a very senior ladycat. Was Minnie a kitten when you brought her home?…just curious if she might have a story about her rescue she would want to tell on my blog. I try to interview cats and dogs who have been rescued after they are out of kitten or puppy hood…let me know, paw pats, Savannah
Yes she was maybe 4 weeks old….she was the last of the litter and they could not find her a home and I said I will take her. Our son brought her out and left her in the barn….when I saw her, she was so little and wanted to be in my arms right away….and she has been in my heart ever since…..all 18 years:) I will ask Minnie and I bet she would love to do an interview with you Savannah:) I will ask her as soon as we get home in a couple of days….I miss her so very much when we are gone:(
oh my, I am sure you do. I am not sure the interview will work as she was a kitten when she came to you. I have been trying to focus on adult rescue cats and dogs as we all have many issues and challenges in learning to trust humans again. Let me think on it. paw pats, Savannah
Ok….I understand….she was very scared….and not sue if you interview dogs but I think I mentioned we rescued and adopted 4 Aussie adult dogs…one was 6, he passed away at 13…we still have Tucker, she was 1 when she came to live wih us and she was so nervous that she lost most of her hair between Portland and home about 200 miles….she is 9 today and then Dasher who had been abused…he was 4 when we adopted him and today he is 8…lastly is Ms. Kiah who was 1 and today she is almost 3….we love each of them and they have distinct personalities:)
Savannah, what a precious girl you are! You are such an appreciative kitty and we are certain that you will never, EVER be left again either! We are sooooooo happy you have such a wonderful home! Love, Caren & Cody
oh Cody and Miss Caren, you are always so very nice to me and say such nice things. You two and Dakota stay so busy with both your bloggies I am proud that you come by to visit with me
Well, my darling savannah, can I share with you what I am NOT Thanksful for this day? I am NOT Thankful for this 90-degree misery in Fog City, AND I am NOT Thankful that our beloved Giants are turning into a Bunch of Bumbling Bums at the furry WORST possible time. And THAT’s what I am NOT Thanksful for, ha ha meow! XOXOXOXO
oh Spitty, isn’t this heat awful! Our aircon actually came on early this week! sheesh! And we slept with the fan on last night! Sorry about the Giants, we don’t follow baseball much, but we were hoping they would make it to the World Series again. But last night the Niners beat Seattle!! woo hoo! Go Niners!!
There is nothing quite like a forever home to call your own.
We have SO much to be thankful for.
Thank you for reminding us to stop and smell the catnip.
xo, Katie & Glogirly
you are welcome Miss Katie…I do really luvluvluv your blog and your pawsome graphics!
Awwww… that is sweet!
I like silly Savannah, by the way!
Purrs
yup, we do too in this house MOL
UTB is my safe spot and that’s where I’ll be all day Caturday. When you read my blog tomorrow, you’ll know why. Have you joined the Thankful Thursday blog hop over at Coke the Cat’s place?
oh my CK, I am worried about you??? And no, I have not joined the TTBH yet. I am actually just learning about it, but will try to get over and join. Mostly we just forget to do BH…and even when we do…no one new ever come by…so we are trying to make a plan on how to grow visitors over next year…sigh…and actually…maybe we just don’t have what it takes…and no, we are not “whining”…just thinking and Mom just cannot get the photoshop stuff and doesn’t want to spend a kazillion bucks on learning and buying software, etc. ok nuff said
Aw, it’s wonderful that you settled in so fast!
shucks, thanks bunches! purrrrrs..
Hey Savvy, Jetty here. Hi Miss Linda.
Oh Savvy, it warms our hearts to know that you found such a great safe spot in your bedroom. We also think flipping around to Miss Linda’s singing is adorable!
BTW, why don’t you join the thankful thursday hop today? Go to our post today and join up!
Mom here: I don’t know how to do that…humiliation…sigh…and I just forget to even try and I think Savannahs Paw Tracks has mostly lost a lot of interest so don’t know what to do about that
So thankful sweet Savannah! You look all cozy in your safe place and I am glad you know that Mom and Dad will always be there for you-nose kisses!
oh thank you so much and I do really like my new safe spot. It is open on 3 sides so I can see what Mom is doing
GREAT that you are feeling safe and good in your new home too 🙂
Me are thankfull for that my mom play with me efurryday 😀
my Mom plays everyday too now that we are moved. I usually get at least 3 play times and then of course I run around in the house at 2AM sometimes…heh…heh
Savvy, you make me feel very humble. I’m so lucky that I’ve had a home since I was a baby. I’m so happy that you have a loving home now xxx
oh Misaki, you are fortunate lady dog, and I have my home now and furrever, so let’s just be great furriends! play bows to you Misaki!
It is so good that you trust mom and dad, Savvy. They will never let you down!, xx
It is , huh? Charlie Rascal! Dad and Mom won’t ever let me down and they are already replacing a screen on the patio door so I won’t be able to scratch a hole through it by accident..they really worry about me and make sure I am safe!
ok Austin, just reach across the pond and give a good whack on my paws! I deserve it. I saw a comment come in from Charlie Rascal while I was starting to respond to you, and there you have it…I used his name…shame on me!
What a lovely thought that is Miss Savvy – you won’t be left again. You can snuggle down with that for comfort 😉
and I do snuggle down EVERY night with Mom and Dad…and I sleep so hard Mom has to practically toss me to get me to move if she wants up! Then I just stumble around until she comes back and throw myself down on her again…heh…heh
Forever homes mean you’re TOTALLY safe now, Sav!!! Isn’t that the BEST?!?!?
Play bows,
Zim
well Zim, you and Dave really understand I bet!
Awww, this is such a very sweet post, Savanah. We are so happy you have your very special humans to keep you safe forever now. We are thankful we can call you our furiend.
Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
awwwww…you Sibes! I could just reach over and hug you all…hmmmmm…except you would probably wanna chase me! MOL play bows to all
I think you like your new place Savannah!
hey Brian! I am loving it! I play on the stairs a bit now, still have not taken up my Staircase Troll Job again, maybe later
Savannah, I love to hear what you’re thankful for. You’ve given a fine reminder of the things that really matter.
oh Hi Miss Susan! I hope I do focus on what is impawtant to be thankful for, because I have to help Dad and Mom get through this pretty big transition ‘cuz they are, well, they are like “old”…sigh
It’s great that you’re feeling happy in the new place already. It must be lovely for your Mom and Dad to know that your confidence is growing because you trust them.
