Monday Meowsie News…

HIYA!!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!!

What an amazing few days I have had and WILL have…heh…heh…

First, Dad and Mom had that little overnight “Get-Away” to San Francisco for her birthday…(peeEss…Mom totally luvluvluv’d the WAND!!!)

…they stayed at the Marriott near Union Square in downtown San Francisco…and this is the Christmas Tree on Union Square…

…and right across the street is the huge Macy’s that had a wreath in every window…

…I know it is not anywhere NEAR as impressive and the photos that Texas, A Cat in New York, posted from Manhattan (click here to view)…but it is still special…

San Francisco is just a short drive across the bay from where we live, and they were joined by Mom’s one and only very best friend from high school and college, Miss Chissy Pooh…they just found each other again on FB about 2 years ago!! (Mom made up a nick name for her bestest girl friend, Chris…when they were in college together…”Chrissy Pooh”…after “Pooh Bear”…neither can remember ‘why’ MOL)…Mom is the sort’a blonde and Miss Chrissy Pooh is the dark hair…

Now for MORE news…Mom and Dad had breakfast in San Francisco with Spitty’s Human!!! A PAWSOME time was had by all!! They were all three surprised to learn that none of them were cyber stalkers or axe murderers!!! Mom’s friend Chrissy Pooh warned her the night before about being careful of someone she only knows from the “internet” and Miss ‘Spitty’s’ Human was also warned by friends….all three had a huge laugh over that!!

And Spitty sent along a really thoughtful prezzie for ME!! He gave me 3 little mousies to play with and some treats…Salmon…I hope I can eat them before those kittehs over at Trout Towne Tabbies find out I have them!! MOL!!!

NOW…the really big Monday Meowsie News….DRUM ROLL….

TARUUMMP…BADABUMP…WHUMP…WHUMP…TAPPITY…TAPPITY…TAP…TAP..

MY FANTABULOUS PAW BLOG MENTOR….SAMMY…IS HAVING HIS 13th BIRTHDAY PAWTY TOMORROW!!! JANUARY 1rst!!!

So I have been trying hard to remember where in the heck I put his birthday gift…I have been so very busy…oh Cat!!…what ever did I DO with it!!!!!!!

OMC!!! I am sure I will find it by Tuesday, January 1rst…so be sure to drop by and visit Sammy on his 13th birthday tomorrow!!!

pee pee Ess…ummmm…errrrr…well, I would also like to invite you to my very first ever GOTCHA DAY, January 3rd, that’s on a Thursday, so I know lots of you will be out and about…but just wanted to make the invite. I asked Mom and Dad to do a commentathon…no gifts for me…but for every comment, Mom will donate 50 cents USD to my former shelter for their vet care fund for the cats and dogs we rescue from the local kill shelter. Getting the Sunday Easy On

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Dad and Mom are coming back today…YEA!!! So I thought I would get some EASY ON…and post a video Mom made of me before Christmas.

…this is how I try to pry some of my fave prescription kibble out of Mom…I talk really, really nice to her…and I sort of flirt a bit too…

Yeah, I know, the more Mom talks to me…the more I talk back…but I usually get what I want in the end…I get some play time and then I get the TREAT!!…my special kibble…yummers!

Ok, so don’t forget…my furriend and long time paw blog Mentor, Sammy, is having his 13th Birthday Celebration on January First!! Go Pawty with Sammy on January First!! ‘Kay???

peeEss again…ummm…ahhhh…well, I am sort of well, feeling awkward…but I’d like you to remember that my FIRST GOTCHA DAY is on January 3rd and Mom and Dad are giving me a PAWTY!! My very, very first ever!! And there is gonna be a commentathon…’cuz that’s what I wanted for my gift…more about that tomorrow.

Thinking About Feral Cats

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I was reading over Mom’s shoulder a couple of days ago…I think it was on Boxing Day actually. Anyways, I saw this on the Editorial Page…and my first thought was like…WOW!!! HARDLY ANYBODY EVER TALKS ABOUT FERAL CATS ON THE EDITORIAL PAGE!!!

So then I calmed down, Mom asked me not meow so loud as it was still quiet time in the morning…we read the newspapers, watch the news and read my new emails every morning in bed…Dad brings Mom her coffee and I go down stairs to help him out and of course, to get my brekkies. Then I trot back up to snuggle with Mom while she reads to me.

Ok, so now I have digressed (VBP) so let me get back on track…about this Editorial. It was in the San Francisco Chronicle.

The editorial really talks about the pawsitive impact on feral cat populations that two bay area cities have experienced since the city shelters started doing more TNR rather than destroying cats.

Let feral cats run free – SFGate.

I wish I had this to post on Feral Cat Day…but I wanted to share it with my furriends because it is not often a major newspaper prints an editorial about cats at all, let alone feral cats. I was purrleased to say the least!

So, Mom thought I should at least add a couple of photos of MOI, as this is my blog and she thought you might want to see me playing around some more…so here you go…

…not much I like better than pretending the feathers are getting away under my Nip N Nap Mat…going under for the grab!!!

…this is my “cross over” move…I keep my right paw holding it down under the mat while I use my left paw, crossed over my right, to snag it with my claws…heh…heh…
