Monday Meowsie News…
HIYA!!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!!
What an amazing few days I have had and WILL have…heh…heh…
First, Dad and Mom had that little overnight “Get-Away” to San Francisco for her birthday…(peeEss…Mom totally luvluvluv’d the WAND!!!)
…they stayed at the Marriott near Union Square in downtown San Francisco…and this is the Christmas Tree on Union Square…
…and right across the street is the huge Macy’s that had a wreath in every window…
…I know it is not anywhere NEAR as impressive and the photos that Texas, A Cat in New York, posted from Manhattan (click here to view)…but it is still special…
San Francisco is just a short drive across the bay from where we live, and they were joined by Mom’s one and only very best friend from high school and college, Miss Chissy Pooh…they just found each other again on FB about 2 years ago!! (Mom made up a nick name for her bestest girl friend, Chris…when they were in college together…”Chrissy Pooh”…after “Pooh Bear”…neither can remember ‘why’ MOL)…Mom is the sort’a blonde and Miss Chrissy Pooh is the dark hair…
Now for MORE news…Mom and Dad had breakfast in San Francisco with Spitty’s Human!!! A PAWSOME time was had by all!! They were all three surprised to learn that none of them were cyber stalkers or axe murderers!!! Mom’s friend Chrissy Pooh warned her the night before about being careful of someone she only knows from the “internet” and Miss ‘Spitty’s’ Human was also warned by friends….all three had a huge laugh over that!!
And Spitty sent along a really thoughtful prezzie for ME!! He gave me 3 little mousies to play with and some treats…Salmon…I hope I can eat them before those kittehs over at Trout Towne Tabbies find out I have them!! MOL!!!
NOW…the really big Monday Meowsie News….DRUM ROLL….

MY FANTABULOUS PAW BLOG MENTOR….SAMMY…IS HAVING HIS 13th BIRTHDAY PAWTY TOMORROW!!! JANUARY 1rst!!!
So I have been trying hard to remember where in the heck I put his birthday gift…I have been so very busy…oh Cat!!…what ever did I DO with it!!!!!!!

pee pee Ess…ummmm…errrrr…well, I would also like to invite you to my very first ever GOTCHA DAY, January 3rd, that’s on a Thursday, so I know lots of you will be out and about…but just wanted to make the invite. I asked Mom and Dad to do a commentathon…no gifts for me…but for every comment, Mom will donate 50 cents USD to my former shelter for their vet care fund for the cats and dogs we rescue from the local kill shelter. So please remember to stop by January 3 and just leave a simple comment…Mom will happily pay up…

What great pictures of San Francisco! Our head peep loves that city but has never been around Christmas. Now she’s talking about flying across the country again. Hopefully her attention span is as short as ours and she’ll get distracted from silly ideas like that.
MOL that Spitty’s mom is not an axe murderer. Like we said, humans and their silly ideas.

The weather has been purrfect and so far the noms are delicious as we had wonderful roast lunch and I was able to share some of it after the humans gorged themselves again!
oh Jessie, I wish I liked the people food, but not one thing interests me…not even nice baked chicken or bacon or liver or fish…etc etc…I don’t know what’s up with that about ME??
OK..there are thirteen of us plus Mummy Janey and Daddy Chris plus the three rescue pigeons who live in another building….times it by 50c and we get..a heck of a lot for the shelter!!!!

Talking of meeting people on the internet: that’s how I met my (present) wife, my true love, on March 5, 1998. At that time we were both teachers, she here in the US, and me in Germany, and we were looking for e-mail pals for our students. There was a mailing list at that time, at St. Olaf’s College in Minnesota, where you could post your “wishes”. Well, on that day both my wife and me did so and … well, you can guess: soon after the spark flew and over a few months it grew into the flame of love. Isn’t that wonderful?
