Savannah's Paw Tracks

Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Monday Meowsie News…zippo

Savannah’Disclaimer: I, Savannah, had NOTHING to do with scheduling this post. Mom has lost it, she thought Sunday WAS Monday

HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!! (sort of)

You know I like to be an original cat writer.  I don’t snatch others’ ideas and pretend they are my own.  No siree…I give credit where credit is due.

And today I am giving credit to my pal Spitty…I am totally snatching his idea from this past week…I am starting to paw out grades for Mom and  Dad.  Just because they are doing all this catsulting work for some university does NOT mean they can ask for simple PASS or FAIL grades…heh…heh…nope!

I also will not be grading them on a curve.  Just take a look at the “photos” Mom had for me to use today for my blog post…outrageous I say!! Not a single one in decent focus!!

Me doing some snoopervising of the table clean up…they keep leaving all their papers up there…sheeesh…

Mom finally did one little thing for me…I stopped using my pink Princess bed…so she got me a new soft blankie to attract me back…but could she 1) place it inside nice and tidy and 2) take a photo, in focus,  of me using it again?? NO!  again, a sure sign of the grades to come soon for her.

Out of focus again

Out of focus again

Then she intrudes on me while I am napping in my fave box…she was in a hurry, take a photo quick, quick, quick just to give me something…who needs it I say…I should have just skipped today’s post…another embarrassing photo…

As for Dad, he is late, late, late with meal delivery.  I have to wait for him to get my breakfast and my dinner to me…*slaps paw to forehead* I am so gonna have to train him all over again…What Mom ???…oh…well, ummmmmm…ahhhhhh….well, yeah…he does bring my first course with my Mira Lax in my delish pumpkin soup directly to me in bed, true, true…BUT…he is usually at least 42 1/2 seconds LATE!

What about my dinner delivery Mom?…huh?…oh…ummm….ok, ok…he does also deliver my first course at dinner directly to me wherever I am…on the couch, by my step…but again…I have been checking and he is probably way beyond 53 seconds late doing that; so there!!!

Fine, fine…Dad may be getting better grades than you…thank Ceiling Cat he doesn’t try to take photos of me…I will be delivering grades for Mom and Dad once they finish this catsulting work…between now and then…my blog posts are so not gonna be pretty…na’mean???

  1. I would TOTALLY grade my first peep if I didn’t think that doin’ so would cause so much overuse of the letter ‘f’ that that letter might just break on my computer. MOUSES!

  2. Savvy, we think you look beautiful no matter what. We can hardly wait to see the grades you give Mom and Dad. Don’t be too hard on them, okay? The DO try! 🙂

  3. I am so glad to see that sometimes YOUR mum slips up like ours does Savvy, if they were perfect imagine the demands they would make of US!!

  4. That is okay sweet Savannah, we never know what day it is…except maybe for gotcha days!

  6. Savvy, MomKatt sez she thinks the one of you in the pink bed (you have a pink bed, too!) is “airbrushed”. She sez they do that to Playboy Bunnies all the time & that it’s very enhancing to an already attractive woman … um cat ….

Just sayin’ … nice to see you there!

  7. savvy….quiet frank lee we likes de pick sure oh ewe in yur box…kinda old werld sepia charm goin on ther…it could be kinda reminiscence…N look at de werd we just used……oh yur grate grate grate grate grate grate grate grate grate grate…phew…gram maw !!!

  8. MOL, your Mommy hasn’t learnt our Mommy’s trick take out of focus photos and do something artsy with them and say you meant to. She gets away with the most outrageous stuff, we really need to train her better. ~The CATS & DOGS

  9. Mom should get a C-…at least she is trying. However, posting Monday’s post on Sunday is a little “off” but that does mean she got her “work” for you in early. The out of focus photos…well, let’s just say you are NOT looking as beautiful as you should be. It is so hard to find good help these days, Savvy.

  10. Heheheh! Have a nice week Savvy!

  11. Oh Savvy, I feel your pain. My daddy doesn’t even take any pictures of me having fun, blurry or not. Mummy is slack at helping me reply to comments or visiting my friend’s bloggies … Hope your grading system prompts some improvements!

  12. It is SO hard to find good help! My dinner is always late and breakfast is never served in the morning. Mom tries to pass it off as brunch but its just laziness! I won’t even start on her incompetent photograph skills… I’d take my own if I had thumbs! Maybe we should start a human training program?!

    • Scarlett, I just visited your blog and left a comment after two attempts I was able to break the code on the word verification. I highly recommend you take that word verification off. Many of us, myself included, do not visit blogs with word verification. It takes too long to leave a comment. Thought you would want to know

  13. You know, we CB cats used to do yearly PURRformance reviews and publish them…we think the process ought to be revived! These humans of ours have totally gotten out of paw.

  14. Savvy, when your mom goes to BlogPaws, make sure she goes to the session on photography so that she can improve her skills. Though we think you always look good…no matter how bad the photo may be. 🙂

It’s all OK, Savannah – we still love seeing all your photos in or out of focus. That princess bed is pretty cool — Ciara thinks the princess in her would like one too:)

  17. Savvy you do not look out of focus you look stunning but hey we have to keep the pawrents on their toesies!

  18. Out of focus or in focus, I love seeing you perusing around doing fun stuff.

    Love and licks,

  19. HOLEY MOLEY! Trained staff are hard to get…but honestly, by the time we got ours obviously the good ones had all gone..we hear you!

  20. Humans never seem to get trained properly! I know first hand! Hahaha!

  21. Savvy your mom does need to work on her days and photography this week. Did she sit out in the sun too much? Love the bell idea of Spitty’s YOU definitely need one!

  22. Savvy, back when I first started blogging, we used to give our humans Purrformance Reviews. I’d like to meet the cat who’s humans are straight A’s. TW sure isn’t. This morning, she’s calling me weak cos I’m sneezing and stuff. Sigh. Here’s my Purrformance Review post from way back.

Training humans is such a hard work ! As Mum always says, “teaching is repeating” ! Purrs

  24. You grade tough, Savvy. Those pawrents of yours had better step it up!

  25. Training those hoomans is such a task isn’t it 🙂

  26. Handing out grades is a super cool idea!! 😉 Have a PURRFECT Sunday! 🙂 xoxo Roxy & Tigerlino ❤

  27. I loved Spitty’s idea too. And first I gave my staff a big fat F, ha! I like your photos, you are a beautiful russian blue lady, so you look always great :o)

  28. Me to have humans that should be very lucky that I don´t hand out grades *mol*

  29. Savvy you have your work cut out Hun x

  30. Well Savvy, training humans is not an easy task and they DO get complacent and need constant re-training. Now that your Mom and Dad are busy with their work, they MAY need some reminders from you about priorities! I love Spitty’s video – that bell looks like something I should put on my Santa Wish List this year….hee hee heee

    Hugs, Sammy

  31. Savannah, meez finks you look beautiful no mattew what. Hope yous hav a Pawsum Day!! 🙂

Luv and Hugs and Kitty Kisses ♥♥♥

You, Miss Savannah, are a tough grader. We are thrilled with the HuMom when she manages to remember to use to correct dish. No matter how cute the bowl is, we prefer the saucer. How hard is that?

  33. My human is lucky I don’t hand out grades – just disdain.

  34. Late wif food?? Uh oh, dat would be a big deduction in my book!

  35. Hm – Savvy, wanna swap? You know, you could come here, for a bit … you just might find it a little less princess-like! You would have to share with a Sage-like 4 and a half year old – and with a 9 year old gentleman cat. You would get your food delivered to just ONE spot and have to share with the others. You would be expected not to paw at the other cats and respect their private sphere. You would absolutely hate it here. But getting back would miraculously have improved your staff’s marks … 😛

  36. Hehehe poor you Savvy, may be you should send your mum back to school for lessons in photography?and maybe concierge lessons for your dad, then they would get full marks.Mum says humans need a little help from time to time in keeping the standards up.but atleast you know they adore you ,but who could blame’re adorable!xx Speedy

Ha ha ha–much as I would love to claim I invented grades…I think they’ve been around, well, furever–I mean, aren’t there report cards carved on those cave walls along with woolly mammoths and saber-toothed tigers??? I mean, those poor little bronze age children were already getting graded on their hieroglyphs and their rabbit roasting, right? Or sumfing!

You should keep your grading standards very strict, Savvy–you can’t let them think they’re doing a good job when in reality they’re barely adequate.

And say, did you see this:

The Human says she’s getting me one of these — NOT!

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
