Maybe I Ought to be a Model?

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Hey guys, I am trying to go easy on Mom L this week cuz she is goin’ off to that BlogPaws Conference thingy. Hope short and sweet is OK with you for now.

Moving right along—as I have already been mentioned, this house we live in doesn’t have any good place to do photo shoots. But Mom L really wanted some new shots of me, so I let her have a go while I was enjoyin’ my sun puddle through our vertical plastic blinds.

How’s this for a “sultry look”?

Can you see how transparent my ears are? Cool, huh? I asked Mom L to move in closer.

Is this what the pro models call the "head tilt pouty look"?

We managed another close up before I had to put my paws down.

This is cuttin' into my snooze time

Enough of the head shots, let’s get one more close up of me and my body, ok?

Now I am usin' my "Savvy look"—will Mom L get my message?

Ya think Mom L caught my drift?

I'm outta here—don't let the door hit your bum on the way out Mom L

I guess we do have some natural light once in a while. What do ya think? I’m thinkin’ I might need to go pro’ after this. Where do ya think I ought to send my head shots for consideration? Hallmark?

My Progress is Showing

HIYA SAVANNAH HERE!!

Oh My Cat! What a most incredible week I had! Talk about makin’ progress in my recovery from trauma I experienced before my current castle home—and all in just ONE WEEK!

Guess it takes a couple for biped little people to push me into becoming more and more brave and confident. Mom L and Dad P continue to tell me I am safe in my castle home, but I still worry a bunch sometimes. My castle home was invaded by strangers from another country. There were four bipeds and two of them were like tiny little bipeds—sort’a like kittens, na’mean?

I know that I was teased by high pitched, frantic voiced bipeds before my forever castle home, because I cannot stand hearing high pitched noises that are loud.  Those sounds are much like the  tiny bipeds who visited me last week.

Check out my coolness just hangin’ around when the little bipeds were playin’ just above me in the dining room.

Yeah, I can hear them but I'm kind's curious

Yeah, I can hear them but I’m kind’a curious

Mom L  was astonished that I was chillax’in on my fave spot on the couch when the girls were just above me in our dining room playing.

Yes, their voice were strange cuz they talked with this accent that I couldn’t figure out. But, I got curious about two days into their stay and started to hang out under that dining table to just listen to them.

That morning, I was so chillax’d just like nothing else was happening. (hover over photo to view captions please)

I started doing this almost everyday when those little female bipeds were within’ my hearing range.

Mom L and Dad P made sure that TKS and I both had a sort’a “sanctuary” space in our master bedroom where we could just hang out and nap without little bipeds hoverin’ around.

And the first thing ya know, there we were sharin’ that special sun puddle upstairs just a foot apart.

What? I am just here in the cool part of this sun puddle, nuttin' to do with TKS so close

Now no little biped got to touch my glorious Russian Blue furs, but as you all know, TKS is not so particular.

TKS was not above getting those pets from just one little biped.

Now I know my photos are not top drawer and that Mom L has one of our litter boxes in the background. But let me tell you, just try gettin’ photos of four and half year old bidped twins AND cats that don’t have some clutter somewhere, na’ mean?

Those of you who have followed me my whole four years of blogging know that this was a REALLY huge step forward in my progress toward recovering from unknown, but serious, trauma before Mom L and Dad P snatched me up to give me my forever castle.

And now why did Mom L scratch out all the other mentions of my castle, and change it to my home? Because even though I am still my Dad P’s Princess, I now have a friend in TKS and my  home is indeed a home, not just my castle. Hope you understand. If not, just ask me in comments what the difference means to me.

Lucy Pet Products Breakthrough Cat Litter #sponsored

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

My pals have I got a great product to share with you today. Have you ever heard of The Lucy Pet Foundation?

s5_logo

NO!…seriously…you haven’t?? You can zip over to their website in a flash but let me at least give ya the 411 on them so you can appreciate their great new cat product.

In a nutshell—ummm—well, maybe not a real nutshell like the ones the squirrels are always messin’ with. But well, in a flash—there, that’s lots better—in a flash the goal of the Lucy Pet Foundation is to have a mobile spay, neuter clinic in 40 major cities in the USA. That is a really big deal!

Each mobile unit can S/N 120 animals per week, meaning 6,000 animals will be removed from contributing to cat and dog overpopulation in just one year in each city fortunate enough to have one of these mobile units. Awesome I say, simply awesome!

Even better, their Lucy Pet Products division is making a great new cat litter, and like all their other pet products, all earnings go right into Lucy Pet Foundation. Their Cats Incredible™ Super Kittykattakalizmik Litter is a real tail stopper!

Why you ask? Well—hmmm—let me ask you this. Do you really and truly enjoy smelling all that ammonia that builds up in your litter box in just one day? You know what I mean, that sharp smell that burns your nose, and scratches your throat and even can make your eyes water? Do you like that icky smell?

This post is sponsored by Lucy Pet Products. I am being compensated to help spread the word  about their new cat litter Cats Incredible. Savannah’s Paw Tracks only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Lucy Pet Products is not responsible for the content of this article.

Here’s what Dr. Karen Halligan, Chief Veterinary Officer at Lucy Pet Products has to say—”Cat owners don’t realize that even at very low levels, ammonia can cause eye, nose, throat, lung and skin irritation…At higher levels, it can cause nausea and vomiting, with intense burning of the eyes, nose, throat, skin, and even death. With Cats Incredible, cat owners can rest assured knowing their cat’s litter box is providing a safe ammonia-free environment.”

When they asked me to review their new cat litter, with its Smell Squasher technology (patent pending) I said absolutely. I asked Mom L to take the litter over to my former shelter, Kitty Corner, and let some new kittens give it a go. It was a total hit!

Once passed the sniff testing…

taste test v1

This cat litter is made of premium sodium bentonite clumping clay from the USA which produces firm, easy-to scoop clumps and is 99.9% dust-free. The bag design is easy to use and recyclable and non-polluting.

And there is no need for a scent or fragrance to “mask” the ammonia smell because the Smell Squasher technology STOPS the ammonia from even beginning to form!! As you can see, the kitten room made this litter test a community affair.

One last test had to be passed—

This is the best litter for rollin' around in ever!

This is the best litter for rollin’ around in ever!

There were seven kittens in the cat litter test room and all gave this litter four paws up. That’s twenty eight paws held high for Lucy Pet Products new, ammonia stopping, scent free Cats Incredible™ Super Kittykattakalizmik litter! One of the kittens saved her praise until she was all alone with the Cats Incredible™ litter test box.

High praise from an eight week old kitten

This is the best litter I ever used. Thank you Lucy Pet Products

Now that is mighty fine praise from an eight week old kitten who has experienced a lot in her short life. She was born to a semi feral momcat who delivered her six kittens under a car in a driveway. The humans took them all in and fostered momcat and her kittens. These are some of the best socialized kittens to arrive from such humble beginnings at Kitty Corner, owned and managed with loving care by Contra Costa Humane Society. Kitty Corner is my former shelter where Mom L and Dad P found me. Thank you to all at Kitty Corner for doing this product review.

Go on now *nudges readers to get moving* better go order some from any Petco or other independent pet specialty store.
