Katie is in the house!!!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

It’ s true, it’s true, it’s really, really true!!!! Katie is back with all of us in my castle. She is free after one month isolation to medicate her poor infected claw sheaths and to give her oral antibiotics. Her claw sheaths are looking very healthy so far with the new non-clumping silica litter. Paws crossed this is the answer!!

Here is Katie’s release day. Hope you enjoy seeing her walk free as much as we all did. She started by leaving Dad P’s loving hands, then cautiously crept out of her holding cell isolation suite; headed into the hall and freedom.

She stopped once to look back at Mom L and Dad P and then she was joined quickly by her playmate, Eowyn. Eowyn had to sniff her tail to make sure she was really seeing her pal Katie at last! Katie hesitated a moment on the first step and glanced back once more.

Then she and Eowyn exchanged their first nose touch and all was well between the two playmates!

Katie later joined us all downstairs to help snoopervise a DIY project Dad P had going on. She made sure his new wood dirty close hamper was put together to perfection!

Please keep Katie in your thoughts in hopes that her claw sheaths remain healthy!

Friday Smiles from our Chrissymouse day

HIIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I am changing up my usual Friday Memes for Friday Smiles in hopes of giving you some smiles by sharing how all six of us kitties in my castle enjoyed our Chrissymouse Day! And I am revealing our Secret Paws gifts and the identify of our Secret Santa Paws!!

First up is revelation of our Secret Paws for 2021! Lola and Lexy from Lola the Rescue Cat. We were their Secret Paws in 2020; small world, eh?

Our prezzies were all wrapped so pretty and they all had labels so’s I would know which ones were mine who got what. Mom L found some pretty holiday happy hour napkins and this cool ice cube maker that turns the ice into the heads of cats!! And we got this way cool tunnel that Eowyn and Katie and our foster kittens loved!

We all super enjoyed opening our Secret Paws prezzies.

And then we got to open our special stockings!

And our foster kittens Arwen and Frodo shared in the festivities by checking out their very own little stockings.

Katie joined our Chrissymouse play!!

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!

I’m gonna be sharing our Secret Santa Paws gift opening on my next blog. I just had to share our joy that having new toys to review brought our sweet little Katie outta her hidey-closet!! And she played!!!

Katie hides during the day in Dad P’s office closet. That is where we presented her with her purrsonal stocking and some of the Secret Santa Paws gifts.

You can see Katie’s special gifts from our Secret Santa Paws in front of her. She sit s on this box or on a rug on the other side of the closet She mostly only comes out during the day when no one is in the office and comes out at night to snuggle and play with Dad P before they go to sleepy town. But on Christmas day, Katie decided that new toys were more interesting than hiding!!

She really was interested in the new bird feather wand toy. She played with Dad P and Eowyn who was in her room to open her own prezzies with Katie.

You can see  that little Katie is still feeling dejected and she doesn’t stand tall, but sort’a goes lower on her legs. But this is so much better than the slinking she has been doing!!

She engage with playtime with Ewoyn and the new wand toy and she even poked around the new crinkly tunnel!

We sure hope your Chrissymouse Day was filled with lots of fun and yummy noms!!

PeeEss—your POTP, purrs and purrayers have helped Katie! Her claw sheaths are not showing any redness nor swelling nor discharge!!! One more week to make sure the new non-clumping litter is not irritating her claw sheaths and then Katie will rejoin the household and all our litter will be silica non-clumping!!!
