Kittens in a Window

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Kittens in a window at the holiday time are sure to draw a crowd. And that was totally true when Mom and Dad visited The City on the Bay the last week of November.

San Francisco’s downtown Macy’s store has a holiday tradition of giving a few windows over to the San Francisco SPCA. Their windows in the front of the store are impressive.

But the windows in the side and back are set up to house available kittens and puppies. They only display the youngsters because they are not distracted one bit by all the commotion and traffic outside their little window world. Adult cats and woofies could not tolerate this as you can all understand.

For your delight I asked Mom to share the kittens she and Dad visited on their short get away. Please forgive some of the window glare, Mom doesn’t have a proper camera so ya get what she gets. Na’mean??

Mine! No! Mine!!

And the little orange tabby boy was confused to say the least. He kept on looking up above his enclosure wondering what fabulous thrills awaited his discovery!!

Holy Ceiling Cat! This is way fun back here!

No so fast young man!

Ohhhh—wonder if I can get up there?

You are gonna have to take your turn.

What do ya mean “wait”?

And then he called on the big guns—I’m still waiting to learn if Santa Paws answered his request.

Whoa!! Thanks Santa Paws for my new home!!

Of course Mom cannot turn away from a kitty with gray furs like mine.

Mom Linda, where do you want me to look?

Mom finally got through to her.

Oh! You want me to look over here!

I am sure these kittens in the window put a little smile on your face on a Monday. Rest assured that they have all been adopted. Who can turn down such a deal at a Macy’s, right?

Some Toys Need More Discipline

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

Can you help me out with some research I am doing? What? Oh, good, glad to hear all my readers are gonna be helpin’ me out.

So here’s the deal. I say some toys need to have more discipline than other toys. So far the only research I have is experiential. You know, my experience and TKS’. What I need is more day-tuh from you guys to help me come to a conclusion.

The research question is: Do Some Toys Need More Discipline?

I say yes and have some proof to offer you. Just look what I had to do with this silly catnip square.

Here you are!! You can’t hide from me!

I had to hunt my catnip square down, can you believe? She tried to hide from my by lounging on Mom L’s special bench. But I found her and I gave her a talking too for sure.

I have you now my pretty!

Just in case Ms Catnip Square didn’t get my lesson—I gave her a quick “shake” and tossed her off that bench. (sadly Mom L missed that toss off the bench move…*sigh*…humans…even with that opposable thumb)

Ms Catnip Square you need to have a meowing to!

Can you see my head turned to the right to give Ms Catnip Square a good shake? And then I tossed her right back where she belonged—on the floor again so I could play with her.

So tell me my pals, is my research shaping up to conclude that some toys need extra discipline? And I wanna hear from my woofie pals as much as my cat pals. What say you all???

Who Has a Kat Fit Bit?!

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!

Do you ever think you have played way more than you outta?? Come on, dish! Tell me the truth. Are you ever outta breath?? Just from running and running chasing that ever elusive red dot or feather? By the way, how many of you have your very own “Kat Fit Bit”?

Ummm…I may have hurt myself with that last sprint

Well, I think I may have overdone myself this weekend. I was having so much fun chasing the feather with that red dot in the middle of it, I winded myself!!
