At Last Some Sun

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

In case some of my readers do not know it, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we have been in a big ole’ drought for like about five years. Well,  Mom Nature has been tryin’ to get us moving toward ending this drought with her weather pattern in the last week.

We have had rain and more rain and now all the dirt is soaked and sayin’ “NO MORE MOM NATURE!”

So as you can see, I was delighted and calmed to finally have a sun puddle all to myself. I am sitting behind Mom L’s printer stand. I learned last year that Mom Nature provides a very nice sun puddle in this one spot during our Winter months. Can you see my reflection?

I am so chill'axed...anybody wanna come and join me?

Hope you are finding some sun puddles in your week too.

PeeEss—You can click to bigify the Momma Kat graphic to remind you of her story. She is beginning to be more and more social. We think she may have been a feral kitty, only 1 1/2 years or so old when found with her five kittens in May 2016. If so, then she is showing remarkable recovery and socialization progress. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Tissue Paper Dilemma

HIYA!!   SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I had some trouble playin’ with my tissue paper recently. Now this is one of my favorite play time props. I luvluvluv having my feather pulled under the tissue paper really slow and then I rush after it and smash into the tissue paper making it sound all crinkly and crunchy! Just great.

But this time I started to wonder what I might look like when I am “under” my tissue paper. I hope my readers today will let me know in comments what you think.

First, there is the problem when all anyone can see is my rear end.

Be honest—does this tissue paper make my butt look really big??

And then there is the problem when my butt is hidden but all you can see is my head.

Is it better if I have my whole head showing or is missing an ear OK?

Finally, I thought maybe I should just go all “turtle” and bury my whole body under the tissue paper.

Can you even tell I am under this pink turtle shell??

Can you even tell I am under this pink turtle shell??

Maybe in the end I ought to just leave the tissue paper alone? But I sure do get a real kick playin’ with it.

Thanks for listening to me and leaving me your opinions.

Our annual check up allows Mom  to pick me up, hold me and give me some cuddles. Her best day of the year she says.

Ummm...Mom? Do I have to stay?

Ummm…Mom? Do I have to stay?

The reality…

Luv ya Mom but is not my idea of happy

Hold me tight Mom, this is kind’a scary

The Kid Sage was way less nervous than me.

I can't believe you let her DO THAT to me Dad!!

I can’t believe you let her DO THAT to me Dad!!

I’m not so sure if TKS is gonna be forgiving Dad any time soon.

WAIT??!! Is that stabby stick for ME??!!

WAIT??!! Is that stabby stick for ME??!!

The good news is that we both survived. And, even though the Doc stole my blood, she called to tell Mom and Dad the results were perfect! She said keep on feeding her and taking care of her just like you are.

TKS and I are two happy cats!
