And the Drum-stiks Have It!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

It’s always a great day when you receive a totally unexpected email. I enter lots of give away thingies; I used to win every now and then. But over the last year not so much. So just imagine my ~~shock~~ surprise upon opening my email to find a message from Phoebe and Miss Ellen, 15 And Meowing, to tell me that I WON a give away. WOO HOO!! Let me say that just one more time…WOO HOO!!!

A great big shout out for 15 And Meowing!!!

Said ‘Give Away’ was for nothing less than…wait for it…wait a bit more for it…

Needless to say, TKS is NOT telling Ashton over at Sometimes Cats Herd You. She would likely want these Chik-hen Legs for her upcoming Grande Opening of Ashton’s Chik-hen Emporium.

Of course, I was given the first opportunity to inspect and appreciate the beautiful Nip N Nap mat and to sniff the wonders for those Chik-hen Nip Legs. (better not let my AdventurCat pal Nissy, the Nip Head know I have these).

And then I notices those Chik-hen legs were being served up on a new Nip N Nap mat. Pawsome!

Whoa; there’s more!

You can tell that new Nip N Nap mat caught my attention for sure. This Give Away was clearly sent to me from Ceiling Cat!!

I think you can see in the background there that I was having a pretty good rest in a lingering sun puddle; so once I inspected the package contents and pawed my approval…I got right back to what my priority was at the time…

ahhhhh….

Next Mom L presented The Kid Sage with the contents of our win. Her reaction was a bit more…shall I say…extreme…than mine.

You can all judge for yourselves.

And once she established what she considered ‘ownership’…well…she just did what she does…

Luv it!!

And she continued on and on…

What’s under here? Can I wear this???

Thankfully, she was finally overwhelmed.

Ready? Set! ACTION!

HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I want to share the results of some of the coaching I have been giving The Kid Sage. This is all about teaching her some of the Hunter Action Moves I learned from reading about and watching my personal coach, Mama Cat OTRB (The Blog of Otis) If you missed her training sessions before she left for The Bridge last year, you can click on the link above and review her many quality training posts.

Moving on, so I am actually demonstrating one of my very own special Hunter Action Moves in this next photo. The Kid Sage has yet to master this move as she cannot keep her butt still long enough. I call it “Straight Leg Butt Down Scout” position.

Mama Cat had a marvelous signature hunting move she called her Flying Squirrel move. I decided to modify that to better suit my personality and I created the floor version of her Flying Squirrel.

The other move I think is most important for The Kid Sage to learn is the Half Twist Snatch and Grab move. Again, I choose to perform the ‘floor’ version.

Moments with Savannah and Sage

HIYA! SAVANNAH HERE!!!

After the huge blog posts I had Mom L doing this week,I thought I would give her a break and let her post some photos. Yes, yes…photos of me and TKS.

We have been having some stress lately over the last couple of weeks. I have been extra agitated by her presence and she, as you can see in this next photo, has been intent to help me feel anxious by taking every opportunity to corner me.

Touch me TKS and you will regret it…just sayin’…

But still, TKS and I do manage to find some time to accommodate being together occasionally just to keep Mom L and Dad P off our backs…oh, we do love them lots…but they stress so much when we don’t get along…sigh

I have the sun puddle…she has the bed

We still share my our king size bed with Mom L and Dad P in the morning when they have their coffee and watch and read the news. I snuggle next to Mom L and TKS…well…she climbs on Mom L out of my reach…heh…heh…

Mom L…you will keep me safe from HRH Savvy?

I allowed TKS to have a sun puddle yesterday…I must have been feeling generous.

I caught the sun puddle!

Sage was so happy with finding some sun that morning; she totally spread out.

And I grabbed my chance at the sun on the tower in the guest bedroom…

ahhhh…the sun…

TKS grabbed her sun on another tower but where she could see me if she needed to make sure I wasn’t sneakin’ up on her.

I am still struggling with learning to share space with Sage. I wish I could just relax and enjoy her company. But, my former trauma before coming to my permanent forever castle continues to challenge me. Just this week I not only bit Mom L, but I used my claws to whack her…my bite drew her bloods. I have never ever done that since I first came to live here so we are all wondering what happened? Mom L was just holding her hand still for me to rub against it like I always do…and then ‘wham’!!!

So there you have our latest update. We continue to move forward, then take some steps back. But the ‘move forward’ still happens so please join us doing a “happy dance”.
