Monday Meowsie News…

Hiya!! Savannah Here!

And I have finally made up with Mom and Dad…I know they need to have their little get-a-ways…and they have been showering me with attention!

…of course I hid in my closet after they got home…it always makes Mom and Dad fret a bit when I do it…pitiful looking, huh??!!

Of course I was not being spiteful at 2AM when I upchucked on Mom…she woke up, comforted me,  took off the bedspread, then started to go back to sleep, and just to let her know how much I was still hacked off appreciate her attention, I got back in bed and talked to her for about 5 minutes and gave her some head butts…ya know…stuff to keep her awake let her know I missed her…but as I said…I have totally forgiven them…(snicker, snork, snork, bwa hahaha…)

Alrighty then, on to my newsy stuff…

First…I GOT A NEW AWARD!!!

My Weimer pal, Easy, over at Easy Blog gave me the Beautiful Blogger Award!!

I hope that means he thinks I am BEAUTIFUL!!!  And that he thinks my blog is nice too!

As always, the award requires I share some things about myself…so I will add 5 more things to stuff I have already told you…

  1. I have nightmares!…no, seriously, I really do…I wake up sort of half asleep, cry out very pitifully…Mom comes running…and last time it happened,  I was on my fave step at the bottom of the stairs and Mom was upstairs and she called me from the top of the stairs and I literally RAN up the stairs mewing to her every step of the way…and let her stoke me and baby talk me and I finally laid down and relaxed.  It was a terrible nightmare.
  2. I don’t like bacon…sorry furriends…I am not a “treat” kind’a ladycat I guess
  3. I have started to sleep on the floor outside our office waiting for Mom to come play with me
  4. My fave time to play is about 10PM
  5. I still want to do my Precious Prancing Pony Movie….sigh
The Award needs to keep moving…and I think it is impawtant for it to do so…I can’t just give it to a few furriends, so I ask that anyone who doesn’t already have it…please, please help yourself and post it on your bloggy.
My reason for doing this is that I have found that so many of you prefer to not have awards hanging on your blogs and others have been blogging for a long time and have every award in the book.
So, it takes Mom and me hours to find just a few to whom we can pass an award.  I feel guilty doing it this way…but I hope you will all understand.
I want to have time to come around and visit you all ‘cuz I am behind, so I hope you understand why I have passed this award forward in this way.
Another bit of Meowsie news is that I have started to play in our OFFICE!!!  YES!!!  So now I play, mostly, in our bedroom, but I also will play in the living room, on my Bird Watching Tower and now in our OFFICE.
And here I am, with a “new” toy…actually, it is some packaging papers Mom kept just for me…I LUVD IT!!!
This is a photo of me today, right outside our OFFICE, waiting for Mom to come out to be with me….
…and yep!…that is Mom’s footsie in the mirror MOL..she just saw it as she posted…
Thanks lots for stopping over for my Monday Meowsie News…

They’re Back, They’re Back!!!!….

Hiya!! Savannah Here!

Hey!…they came back!!! Yea!!!…errrrr…ummm….I mean…yeah, well so what?…

I was so distraught when they left…I could hardly keep my eyes open from leaking…see!!!?? My precious  little white paws are lifted in fear!!…(Mom: ” she barely lifted her head”)

Like I already knew their little “get-a-way” wasn’t exactly a piece of tuna ya know!

Mom texted me yesterday afternoon on their way down to the beach town, Santa Cruz, where their event was taking place.  Mom grew up in Santa Cruz, CA.  Dad wanted to take this scenic highway down the Pacific coast, called Highway 1…so they had to get from the San Francisco Bay Area over to the coast to pick it up.  That meant going across the Santa Cruz Coastal Mountains, (like, all this is only about an hour away from our home)…

Welllllllll…it was hot, hot, hot in most of the bay area…sooooooo…guess where everyone wanted to be?????

YES!!! ON THE COAST!!!…ESPECIALLY IN SANTA CRUZ!!!

So their trip looked like this crossing through the pretty Santa Cruz coastal range (should’a been about a 15 minute drive…took an hour!!!)

…bumper to bumper on both sides!!…

…and notice the speed limit??…well, they were lucky to hit 10 miles per hour…(puts paw over mouth…snigger, snork…)

They finally arrived at the coast highway…and instead of the lovely sun puddly weather they had when they left home…this is what they found…FOG!! LOTS OF IT…awwwww…too bad, how sad, I’m so glad sorry!!!…

Finally, they drove into some nice sunny weather…and can you guess what they saw in the sky above the crashing ocean….see those specks???….

YES!!! KITE SURFERS!!!…probably about 20 of them in the water…you can see some of them skimming along the ocean, their kite flying high above them…pretty cool, huh??!!

They stayed at a really  nice place on the coast…they used to stay here lots…and love it..that’s the view of the ocean from their room and there is a 4 mile beach just below their resort…

Finally…they came home…first thing they both did was find me…actually I kind’a met them…and then I got a bunch of scritches…

And..Mom got me lots of my fave’ snack food…my prescription kibble….yummmmm…

…scarf, scarf, scarf…crunch, crunch…

Oh yeah, thanks lots Mom…wipes crumbs from chin…drool from corner of mouth…

My Disciples,

This morning was crazy and scary and, ultimately sad. One of the Guardians had to work today, so she got up early, went through her morning routine and headed out the front door. Moments after she left she came running back inside. She ran to the bedroom, shouting to the other Guardian and I only caught pieces of what she said. I heard the words, “emergency”, “help”, “hit by car”, “hurry” and “road”. I was chilled to the bone thinking that Mama Cat, Nacho, Cookie, Whisper, Beatrice, Minerva or any of the other dozen or so Limbo cats living nearby had been hit by a car, but then I heard the word “raccoon”.

So, one of the wildlings had been hit. This news was no less sad, and now I wondered if it was the big ‘ol male I call “The Beast” or the dainty female who helps…
