…something scared me yesterday…Dad found me under our bed…so Mom laid down and called me up…and I came shooting up to the bed with her…and I snuggled right down next to her…peace at last…
Savannah, my little Miss Moses would scramble away as fast as she could, no small feat considering she could walk but only slowly, and never run. She always stayed near me but was easily frightened, sometimes when someone would walk by outside. She grew deaf as she grew older, and only then did she relax and not run from strange noises. It’s okay, your people understand.
My OTRB brother before me was deaf last year of his life…but he was always Mr Calm so Dad says. Sometimes I wish I could try out having another cat with me, but we’re all kind’a tense about trying that yet mostly because I still have not formed my bond with Mom and Dad and our home completely…sigh..thank good ness we are all patient
My Mom is my “safe place” too Savannah…..I still get scared (and I’ve been with my parents for 12 years!) sometimes but I know if Mom calls me and I go to her – all is well! Good for you…….you’re learning quickly!!
blushes…so happy someone noticed my cute white paw…nice, huh? and I was so relaxed next to Mom…she finally got up and I stayed right there for couple of hours..didn’t go back under bed
you have been so kind to follow me and care about my progress. I still have a long way to go. Mom couldn’t sleep all night ‘cuz she knows she has to trim my claws this week and I still won’t let them pick me up…so she and Dad are planning on the ole’ grab and scruff routine which makes ’em both feel bad…but at least I get my claws trimmed and I know I need it…thanks for following my recovery progress

Savannah, I’m so happy for you, Mom, and Dad! I’m so glad you are learning how good it is to feel safe, to be loved and respected, and to have a home.
