They’re Back, They’re Back!!!!….
Hiya!! Savannah Here!
Hey!…they came back!!! Yea!!!…errrrr…ummm….I mean…yeah, well so what?…
I was so distraught when they left…I could hardly keep my eyes open from leaking…see!!!?? My precious little white paws are lifted in fear!!…(Mom: ” she barely lifted her head”)
Like I already knew their little “get-a-way” wasn’t exactly a piece of tuna ya know!
Mom texted me yesterday afternoon on their way down to the beach town, Santa Cruz, where their event was taking place. Mom grew up in Santa Cruz, CA. Dad wanted to take this scenic highway down the Pacific coast, called Highway 1…so they had to get from the San Francisco Bay Area over to the coast to pick it up. That meant going across the Santa Cruz Coastal Mountains, (like, all this is only about an hour away from our home)…
Welllllllll…it was hot, hot, hot in most of the bay area…sooooooo…guess where everyone wanted to be?????
YES!!! ON THE COAST!!!…ESPECIALLY IN SANTA CRUZ!!!
So their trip looked like this crossing through the pretty Santa Cruz coastal range (should’a been about a 15 minute drive…took an hour!!!)
…bumper to bumper on both sides!!…
…and notice the speed limit??…well, they were lucky to hit 10 miles per hour…(puts paw over mouth…snigger, snork…)
They finally arrived at the coast highway…and instead of the lovely sun puddly weather they had when they left home…this is what they found…FOG!! LOTS OF IT…awwwww…too bad, how sad, I’m so glad sorry!!!…
Finally, they drove into some nice sunny weather…and can you guess what they saw in the sky above the crashing ocean….see those specks???….
YES!!! KITE SURFERS!!!…probably about 20 of them in the water…you can see some of them skimming along the ocean, their kite flying high above them…pretty cool, huh??!!
They stayed at a really nice place on the coast…they used to stay here lots…and love it..that’s the view of the ocean from their room and there is a 4 mile beach just below their resort…
Finally…they came home…first thing they both did was find me…actually I kind’a met them…and then I got a bunch of scritches…
And..Mom got me lots of my fave’ snack food…my prescription kibble….yummmmm…
…scarf, scarf, scarf…crunch, crunch…
Oh yeah, thanks lots Mom…wipes crumbs from chin…drool from corner of mouth…
Paw pats, Savannah

Hey Savannah, Big Guy here. Hi Miss Linda.
Ok, Mom is drooling… how beautiful… the kite surfers – pawesome… attention and yummies… not so bad for letting the ‘rents go away!
tell Mom to save more biskit money so she can come visit after we move to our new home. Lease is signed and we can start our leisurely move next week, high paws…Savannah
Oh thank goodness… (paw wiping brow)… and Mom says thank you, thank you. 🙂
spam file! and the resume is a work in progress as of Friday, is it too late yet???? Harder than Mom thought ‘cuz Miss Lori has lots to say!! MOL
It just goes to show that the peeps are better off at home with US!
Kisses!
I’m glad that your family got home safe from their trip… those kite surfers look amazing… our mom said she had never ever even heard of it… that is so cool.

Glad your family is complete again!!! But don’t worry, be happy that you could stay at home. The mist would mess up your fabulous hairstyling and you would need tons of hairspray to look sophistiCATed again :o)
I bet they missed you loads. Mummy missed me when she went away, she says she wished she’d put me in a trench coat and hat and taken me too BOL.
Glad they are home and brought you treats 🙂
Savvy, it sounds like a mixed bag for the humans! Sometimes going away for a break is more tiring than staying at home!!! Views are terrific though!
What lovely photies yor Mommy took 🙂 Glad they are home safely and now you can demand scritches 24/7 mol…
Have a great day Savannah wiff yor family..
Big Purrs

PeeEssWoo: Of khourse, I do that dance every Wed thru Sat about 6:30 or so when my mom returns to ME!
Oh Savannah, I love your bratty ornery attitude! You’re just so cute!
Looks like your people had a nice time, and got back to you fast to give you your proper due as the most important thing in the world!
Whoa! we don’t have views like that here. Just concrete everywhere. Glad your peeps came home and didn’t find you in any compromising positions. Heh heh.
Oh darling! It was so nice having a little cuddle with you yesterday! I will say no more, as *I* am a purrfect gentleman. ❤ ❤ ❤
The Human says….When I was a kid, my Grandma had a summer house on 2nd Street, right up from the wharf –then there was that funny-shaped little area in the middle of the street in front that used to be an Orange Julius stand–I forget what it is now. My great-aunt and uncle lived in the house next door, and there was a sort of rooming house on the corner — I think the family's name was Bateson or maybe Bates? My cousins and I spent a lot of wonderful summers there, getting sunburned, splashing in the freezing surf, getting our swimsuits full of sand, putting pennies and nickels in the "casino" arcade games (why did we even call it a casino??), especially the creepy fortune teller in the glass booth. I loved that big merry-go-round with the real brass rings and was terrified of the Big Dipper! I always wanted to go swimming in the Plunge, but my mother said that was silly cause the ocean was right there. My Auntie took us a time or two though! I still have cousins and friends in Felton 😉 It's so cool that you grew up there. (But probably you are MUCH younger than I am!!!)
Looks like a wonderful spot to relax in after that traffic! But home is where the heart… err… cat is, after all.
Sweet Savannah thanks for letting us know they are back safe and sound. Sorry they had all that traffic and fog. The place they stayed looks like a very nice place. Glad you got some of your yummy kibble and lots of scritches. You were very good while they were away and you deserved that kibble and those scritches. Hugs and nose kisses

The Florida Furkids
I know, huh? Same here… I miss them…sigh..paw pats, Savannah
Looks like a fabulous place for a break, although leaving you behind is simply not good slave behaviour.
no kidding! I heard Dad say “that’s it until after we move…and then he said “of course it will be a couple of months before we can leave her after we move…” So I think I am gonna be pretty well set for a while MOL
Yip – read that bit about being a couple of months – still not sure that’s good enough though.
So glad everyone is home, safe and sound. But do you know what? I they did encounter a little heavy traffic along the way, it’s kind of the price they pay for deserting you in the first place, huh? Hope you can all snuggle up on the couch and watch a little television together this evening. Family time… purrs
i’m thinkin’ Mom is heading for our bed for a nap.. something about not sleeping well fretting about me…MOL..or maybe it was about the bed being hard?
