Savannah’s Garden On Caturday
Hiya! Savannah Here!
I thought I would start sharing some of the plants and flowers in my new garden. I don’t go out, but I send Mom out to take photos…I watch her to make sure she gets the plants I want so I can learn what they are…
I hope my furriends, Scylla, Socks and Fenris over at Alasandra, The Cats & A Dog check out my garden shots today too. Maybe they will know what the yellow flower and the purple flower vine are called. Mom doesn’t have a clue. And Scylla and Socks belong to the Society of Feline Gardeners.
Oh, oh…and my good Sibe furriend Khyra, from Khyra’s Khorner always knows about her plants, and now that I think about it, Zim over at the Army of Four…he always shows us what his garden is up to…
Surely someone can tell me what these flowers are…
…this yellow flower is so gorgeous (VBP) and it has a pretty sort’a red center…it is in a pot right outside my living room patio door…
…and this stunning (VBP) purple vine just started to really show off its flowers, it grows over this sort of trellis thingy..
…finally I had Mom take a photo of this really pretty rose, we don’t know what type it is, but is sure is pretty too..
Hope you like my new garden photos. I will post some every now and then and hope someone can tell us what these cool plants and flowers are.
Paw pats, Savannah

Oh you haz the bery best flowerz!! We had such a hot summer da flowerz did not bloom guud at all. Now we hab one bee-draggled white rose bloomin!!
Me wishez we lived somewhere warmer….gggrrrr. Paw hugs from da Nylablue.
where do you live Nyla? Are you in the USA? Sorry your flowers did not bloom well this Summer
Nice garden, I only have a plant at home and it’s been taken from the hands of death several times.
oh Doggy, thank Cod! Mom and Dad don’t have to take care of this incredible garden. A weekly gardener is included in rent, otherwise, all would be like Mars landscape in about 2 months!!
Your garden is lovely Savannah. The purple one is clematis . It comes in lots of colors and the vine makes a lovely cover in the summer. Before it became too much for her, my humom’s mother had at least 9 different kinds in our back garden. She hated the way the chain link fence looked around our yard so she grew the clematis vine up and over it. It made an awesome cover all summer. My huMom is a dreadful gardener and can murder a healthy plant quicker than a week of 100 degree days. She does best if she tosses a handful of seeds and gives a quick prayer. Anyway, you have many post from people that probably know much more about gardening. We just wanted to say, the clematis vine can be trained to grow around almost anything and it will come back every year without too much labor. Just point the vine in the direction you want it to grow. If it can’t climb it will strangle itself. I think it blooms till the first frost, but I could be wrong. Many people in Bucks County use it on their roadside USPostal mailboxes. It looks beautiful growing over the mailboxes all along the roadsides all summer.
waves paw frantically to Mistletoe!!…that is great advice about the Clematis. Mom would have fainted to see it die off when we get a freeze. Thank Codfish the owner of our rental has a weekly gardener so we aren’t responsible for ANY of her plants and she has tons!
You have a wonderful garden!!! I would like to take a rest on your nice lounger :o))))
oh, you would so totally luvluvluv our big lounger with the wheels Easy…just your size…and we could push you all over the garden! WHEE!!!
The first one is a hibiscus. We’re very sure about that because it’s our country’s national flower. Mommy tried to grow them but they DIED. Can you imagine that! Hahaha.
We hope you’ll show us more flowers, Savannah. Your garden looks really beautiful.
I am so stupid, which country??? We have two of these plants, in pots, one yellow and one red
We’re in Malaysia. 🙂
oh my! I had no idea! Mom did delivered a leadership training program for one of her clients a long time ago now, in Malacca Malaysia. She really liked it there.
The yellow one looks like a Hybiscus and the purple looks like a Clematis. TW had them in her garden in the old house. She loves the Clematis. Now I’ll read the other comments to see if I’m right.
yes! you were right CK! We are not great gardeners here and fear these plants some, thank Ceiling Cat we do not have to take care of them, the owner’s gardener does, whew!
I know! I know! They’s FLOWERS! Isn’t that right? Should they have other names? Well, we can call the yellow one Spittilicious and the purple one Savannatastic.
Oh? That’s not what you meant? Well, nevermind.
silly, silly Spitty!! Yeah, yeah, they’re ‘flowers’…who knew! Right?! I do like the names you chose, maybe we can use them…purrrrr
Beautiful flowers in your garden Savannah:) I know you are enjoying each and every one!

thanks Brulee and Truffle, I am glad you like them
Well we see others beat us to identifying your hibiscus and clematis. They look just lovely. We thinks you has a very nice garden. Don’t panic if the bottom of the clematis looks dead it’ll come back. Just leave it alone. We thoughts ours was dead but it wasn’t. They die back in the winter and come back in late spring here. ~Socks, Scylla & Fenris
Oh but Scylla, you are my expert so I just know you and Socks and Fenris are the official ‘authorities’!
I recognize all those flowers! But I see you got your answers already, MOL. I love cabbage roses… so pretty, so full of petals!
You’re a good garden watcher, Savvy!
oh, a ‘cabbage’ rose? someone else thought it was called a “Victory” rose???
Hi Sammy,

Hi woos!! I am glad you like my garden, play bows, Savannah
Hi Savvy! Beautiful garden – what fun you’ll have seeing the flowers and birds and watching your Mom take care of the garden too……….the yellow flowers are hibiscus and the purple are clematis. My Mom used to have LOTS of plants but nowadays we don’t have as many but we definitely know those!
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
You are right about all the plants Sammy. We still have many more to show everyone. I hope you like them all.
Those flowers look really exotic to us…can you chase them through the window like we are chasing leaves this time of year? Do they have good sniffs?
The Maple Syrup Mob
xxxxxx
I cannot chase the plants and flowers guys ‘cuz I don’t go outside. Not safe for me. I do like looking though and feel just fine about doing that
Your flowers are just gorgeous!!!! I was a member of the Feline Society of Gardeners too and you should follow the Cory Cat Blog with Jonesie….they are in charge and they do their garden tours on Thursdays 🙂
I do follow Cory, I just have not had time to visit regular until this week. Paw hugs Cody
