Savannah's Paw Tracks

Autobiography of a Former Shelter Cat

Culmination (VBP) of VBP

The peeps have this proverb paw_15px.jpg (whatever that is???) that kind’a goes like this…

“All Good Stuff Must One Day Come To End”

And so goes our energeticpaw_15px.jpg Vocabulary Building Project Blog Hop…good while we kept it going…but now must end….

WHY?? You ask WHY??…

…well, I can’t be spokescatpaw_15px.jpg for my pal Texas …(you can visit his bloggy today to see his particularspaw_15px.jpg)…but I know he will share his thoughts on our decision to end VBP Blog Hop.  But I want to let everyone know that without Texas we would never have figured out that linky thingy and Texas was our ‘go to’ tech expert on setting up the codes each week to allow us to have the hop…THANKS TEXAS!!

texas 1

…Nor can I be spokescat for Jetty (head on over to his bloggy to learn what’s up with him)…but I am sure he will be sharing his take on our decision as well.  And…I wanna give a great humongous THANK YOU JETTY for having been the creator of the whole concept of Vocab Building words in our blogs…

As for “MOI”..I need a bit more time for hangin’ at the beach…I do live in California after all…(graphic courtesy of Miss Ann at Zoolatry)…and I know we three are all trying to do lots of things right now and well, VBP needs to end…who knows…we may bring it back later this year…but only if we can give it the time it deserves…

Savvy Says (2)

And so, with a joyous heart because we had so much fun doing VBP and a sad heart because we just cannot keep it going right now…Jetty, Texas and I must close our VBP dictionary.

Closing The Book on VBP

I will still toss in a VBP word now and then, whenever you see the paw_15px.jpg, you will know it’s a VBP word, but we won’t have the blog hop anymore. I hope you enjoyed joining us and reading each others words.

I really wanna thank all of you who pawticipated in our little VBP venture and also thank all of you who supported us in getting it started.

And a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to Miss Ann at Zoolatry for all her brilliant graphics and encouragement and creative input from beginning ’til end…luvluvluv ya Miss Ann…mwwwaaaa!!…(that’s a big smoochie for Miss Ann)

This is my Thankful Thursday post, and first I thank Pepi Smart Dog for hosting this pawsome blog hop…way to go Pepi!!

My gratefulness is abundantpaw_15px.jpg this week ‘cuz we are getting some great weather and my garden is starting to grow!!  Now you know I also pawticipate in my furriend Jonesie’s Thursday Feline Gardeners Society Report to…

Society of Feline Gardeners

I have lots to share so I hope you have time to pull up your ham-miks and get your fave treats to munch…

Well, CK! I fink it will be hard for you to be tooooooo sad chillin’ on the beach or smellin’ your beauteous garden! I am sorry I was not a better pawticipant in the VBP–and it’s extra-disgraceful because the Human is an English teacher and all. Sigh. It was fun, though–we always enjoy seeing your VBP words so don’t let too long go by without using that little paw sign! XOXOXO

Savannah, we never pawticipated in VBP, but we enjoyed reading yours and others VBP posts. Maybe one day you can bring it back again.

And your flowers and gardens are beautiful! It’s nice to see some flowers since we don’t have any yet.

    • you are so kind and it doesn’t matter if you pawticipated, just that you even knew VBP existed is a joy…seriously!! It was too time consuming to go on with only two of us…maybe later this year we will re-invent…who knows?

  13. Rose are red—oh wait, they’re yellow! What the heck? Can you believe that TW planted black tulips when she had the garden!!!! She loved them. Sorry about the Vocab Builder. I know I wasn’t a very good BFGF for not participating but I really couldn’t feel it.

  14. Oh well, we enjoyed it while you had it going. Maybe some time again in the future?

We love those collages you have here with the popup captions. Can you tell us how you do those? We have seen them on a few blogs. Very nice.

Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  15. I saw that you were ending VBP over at Texas’. I think we only participated officially once 😦 But if you want to learn new words any time, Savvy, just pop over to CATachresis as we always have new vocabu … vocab ….. voc.. errr words to learn 🙂 xx

    • thanks Austin, it wasn’t even about ‘learning’ new words…it was about trying to challenge ourselves to ‘use’ different words than the ones we tend to always chose…just tryin’ to keep the ole brain workin’…heh…heh

  16. Your garden is very beautiful Savannah. We very much enjoy seeing the blooms on the West Coast. Seeing so much Spring made the HuMom smile and we are glad to see that to! We were worried that she’d forgotten how. Enjoy kicking back. You and your Mom deserve it.
    Mistletoe & Hitch

  17. Are those beautiful California Poppies there Savvy? They’re such lovely cheerful flowers…Though I haven’t participated every week, I have enjoyed VBP a lot and always had fun reading and learning from everyone’s entries…I’m sure when the time is right we’ll see it again 🙂

  18. You are all very special and we learned lots of new words!

  19. I am sure VBP will be revisited now and again!

  20. Hi Savvy! Take some time off – enjoy the pretty Spring in California and VBP will be something to start up again when the time is right if everybody wants to revive it. The gardens look GORGEOUS…’re so lucky to have such beautiful plants and yard to enjoy.

  27. Well it certainly was fun while it lasted. I enjoyed pawticipating. I wish I could have pawticipated more the last couple of weeks, but I was a little busy and not writing much anyways 😦

  28. OOOOOOOOPS! Sorry Savvy, we couldn’t resist having a munch on those yummy looking leaves!
    The REAL Maple Syrup Mob

  29. Gorgeous garden shots, Savvy! Here in NJ, Mom keeps saying the word, “Soon…”

    Love and licks,

  30. You definitely deserve some time off. Our humans grew up in California and say that it can be really pretty, but they don’t want to go back. Dad says he hates the traffic. Right now, we just have daffodils and tulips blooming. Enjoy the time you are freeing up for yourself. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  31. Awwww thank you Savvy! But you and your human played an impawtant part too! We were a great team I think. Sniff.
    Pawsome flowers!
    Have a great day!

Waving paw...HI!...what'd 'cha think...??
