It Doesn’t Get Much Better…

I always feel really great doing my Thursday post…I get to be “Thankful” and I get to share my garden and even sometimes…I get to share the pretty places Mom and Dad go on their little “Get-a-Way”.

Totally one of my most favorite posts of the week!

I want to thank all of you who stopped by yesterday to leave your comments and let me and my furriend Nissy know you were sending him your very bestest healing purrs, wheeks, neighs, woofs, quacks, woos and all…Nissy heard them and he came through his surgery Ok so far.  Thanks so much for all your healing energy for Nerissa.

Now I get to acknowledge him again as a most wonderful furriend.  Just before Nerissa had his accident, he passed an award to me…

It is a brand new award for me and like Nissy, I just luvluvluv the “bling”…according to Nissy, these are the rules for accepting this award…
Winners re-post this completely with their acceptance speech.
This could be written or video recorded.
Winners have the privilege of awarding the next awardees!
The re-post should include a NEW set of people/blogs worthy of the award;and winners notify them of the great news.

What makes a good acceptance speech?
-Gratitude. Thank the people who helped you along the way
-Humor. Keep us entertained and smiling
-Inspiration. Make your story touch our lives

Ahem…koff, koff…ahhhh…so, like I have never ever done this acceptance meow before…not sure I really know how.  But here is the best I can come up with…

(mee,mee,mee…purrr, purrrr…ahem, ahem...)…Ok…here it is…

“It is my honor and privilege to know all of you; you are a daily inspiration to me; without all of you I would not be the cat I am today…I keep moving forward because of all of you…one paw at a time…thanks”

(hope that was ok…whew…wipes sweat from brow with paw)

Here is my list of new furriends I am passing this award along to…

Ashton, Pierre and Newton from Sometimes Cats Herd You

Brooch from The Broochverse

RA, Nanuk and Isis from RA Husky

Phantom, Thunder, Ciara and Lightning from The Chronicle of Woos

Jack and Moo from Cyber Sibes

Moving on…I am joining Pepi Smart Dogs Thankful Thursday Blog Hop…click the badge to go visit other great Thankful Thursday blog posts…

And of course I am ever so thankful for Nerissa coming through his surgery in “A” “OK” shape so far. I am also very thankful that Mom and Dad came back to me safe and sound from a little overnight get-a-way.  It was a belated celebration of their 36th Anniversary.  So I was totally fine with them going away for a night down to the  coast.

Here are a few photos to share their get-a-way…

Of course I can’t forget to add my Thursday Garden Report for Jonesie’s Society of Feline Gardeners…

Society of Feline Gardeners

These are some of our blooming plants on display this week…and I apologize if I already posted these…but my staff (glares at Mom) has been slow in taking new photos for my garden report…so humiliating…

Hope you had a good time visiting me today…

Gonna start catching up with my blogging, tomorrow, ’cause the peep is going to bring me into the family room for some cuddles on the couch. Wanted to stop by your blog, though, and say that I was super pleased that you liked the award and to thank you for all the kind things you said ’bout me and my little operation.

The doctor says that before I know it, I’ll be doin’ everything I was doin’ before. She was talking ’bout climbin’ and jumpin’ and whatnot. I’ll be back to blogging way before that!

  5. Congratulations again, Savannah, very deserved! Thanks for the update about Nerissa. We always like to come to your blog. You have always something to tell. Pawkiss 🙂

  6. Congrats again dear Savvy. So pleased to hear that Nissy is through the first steps of recovery – it’s quite incredible what vets can do to put you delicate creatures back together again. Your spring flowers are delishous!

I read your post, Savannah, really I did. But after that first picture, I really wasn’t paying attention. Sorry. Was there a flower having an anniversary or some purple grass of sumfing?

  10. That’s a cool award, Savannah! Congrats on receiving it. And we’re glad Nerissa’s surgery went well.

  11. Concats on your award, and thank you for paying it forward to lil’ ol’ me. 🙂 Glad Nerissa is on the road to recovery now.

Will try to do as the award says, but no promises as the Mommies have a busy weekend planned, starting tomorrow, and sieve-like memories – not a good combo… so Mommi might forget to lemme borrow her ‘puter to pay it forward.

Concats also to your M&D for 36 strong years!

  12. ConCats Savvy on your award!! It is quite a responsibility isn’t it! You did the acceptance very well 🙂 We are all very glad Nissy came through his surgery ok. Must go over with some grapes … well maybe not grapes … nip!!!

  13. OMC, Savvy, we’re all verklempt. Thank you for the award! We are terrible about followup on awards we have been given, but we’ll try to pass this one along over the coming weekend.

  14. Congrats Savannah! We are all thankful that Nerissa did good with the surgery too.

  15. Hi BFGF! I’m thankful today that you didn’t present ME with that award. HAH! Now that I don’t like awards but they missed the mark on this one. They should’ve axed for the best moment of your blog—either a special post of someone you met. It IS the Best Moments Award, isn’t it?

Oh yeah, I’m glad Nissy pulled through surgery. I’ll have to visit him before visiting hours are over.

  16. Congratulations, Savvy – on your award and your pretty garden. I’m so happy Nerissa did well. xoxo

      • no it was my goofball momz trying to do a post at 5 am…she had you there, then realized you’d already gotten the award so she thought she should choose someone who hadn’t gotten it yet but forgot she’d been here already…so my Momz is *blushing red face* and *embarrassed ears* right now…pawleeze furgive her silliness

Hi Savannah! We just read that Nissy will be hospitalized until Friday, but as you probably already know, he has his laptop and was able to sign in to the vet’s office wi-fi. He’s more tech savvy than the HuMom! We hope your parents had a great anniversary trip. How many lives have they been together anyway? The HuMom wants us to mention that things are looking up here and it looks like things will work out. Thanks so your support, and your Mom’s too. You both are pawsome friends.

  31. Hi Savvy……I’m very happy too about Nerissa getting that knee surgery over with and I know it will be a while before he’ll be tree-climbing again! We hope he’s back on “all fours” very soon. Love the photos your Mom and Dad took for their 30th celebration – just beautiful!! Hope they had a terrific time. Your garden looks so pretty – love the clematis flower – you sure have a lot of pretty stuff to look at out your windows………..!

    Kitty Hugs, Sammy

    • Hi Sammy! Mom and Dad had such a relaxing one night get a way; mom loves sleeping to the sound of the ocean. And they have actually been married 36 whole years! Time flies when you are having fun. MOL
