Giving Thanks
HIYA!! SAVANNAH HERE!!!
The week is getting shorter…and FB Leo’s move is getting closer…but we have lots to be so very thankful for…
- Leo is alive and has a bright new future…thanks to all your help and kindness and encouraging words
- MJ is doing great on her new insulin and still luving her Harrington’s canned food and making lots of peeps fall in love with her loving, playful and gentle spirit
- Based on all your comments from my request about what to do with the “Hope Chest” funds collected for Mary (aka MJ)…here is what we are gonna do:
- First, one donor specified that their gift must be used for some special items from Mollie and Alfie’s Shop…so Mollie and Alf will put that together and send it to Basil’s typist, Miss Laura at Harringtong’s Pet Foods
- Second, we still have 50GBP as a gift voucher for Mary which will be sent as a cash donation SPECIFIED for Mary’s medical care and that will be delivered personally by Basil’s typist, Miss Laura
- I have my pawsome furrever home and we are gonna keep tabs on FB Leo (think he will become Cousin Leo) and MJ
- We know we can make a difference in the lives of adult rescue cats and dogs…4 paws at a time
And so with great humbleness…I, and FB Leo and MJ all join in Pepi Smart Dogs Thankful Thursday Blog Hop…

I heard from Basil’s typist, Miss Laura, that she has visited MJ (aka Mary)…and here is a bit of what she had to say about that visit…
” I popped to see MJ last night and I think I have fallen even more in love with her! MJ is an angel and continues to delight everyone she meets. The entire time she was there she was wagging her tail and pawing (I don’t know if that’s the correct word) I think you call it kneeding when Savvy talks about it.
She is such a delight and as expected gets on with everyone and everything – dogs, cats, kids, adults you name it she just wanted to be near people. ”

I appreciate being able to share my thankfulness with all of you, and my garden. And especially I luvluvluv sharing my FB Leo and MJ with you all and we are all thankful that you have helped Leo so much and are continuing to send MJ your purrs, woos, wheeks, neighs…PAWSOME!

Savannah…we think you’re gonna miss Leo just a teensy bit when he’s gone, arentcha?? Okay…well, maybe not. 😉
We’re thankful that MJ is doing well too…and we purr that she will find a home.
ummm…we are kind of wringing our paws here…you see…we are waiting to make sure MJ doesn’t have kidney damage as she is diabetic at such a young age…Mom will know more from Basil’s typist over weekend…and nope, not gonna miss him one teeny bit…we never did spend much time together and for most of that, he tried to get to me…I just stayed close to Mom…but he tried to sort of attack me…he needs his own castle
It looks like things are going well for MJ and Leo. Let’s hope they can both enjoy new forever homes soon xx

paws crossed MJ doesn’t have any kidney issues, that is what we are waiting to learn on Saturday…if she is clear…then we are off to really get her promoted like crazy
I’m gonna miss seeing Leo on your blog but I know YOU won’t miss him and his smells. What beautiful roses and other flowers. Your yard is huge! Much bigger than the one TW had and the photos are better. TW is gonna post some old garden pics on Senile Saturday. I hope MJ will find the right home.
BTW, our condo complex is pretty big and TW is worried that she’s never going to see the woman with the sick cats again. They live in a different building. She told the woman to get her phone number from the concierge and I hope she does that.
Me too!! what a worry it would be for Mom Linda too. And yes, Mom and Dad will miss Leo terribly, but they will get ME back eventually more as my old self…only better I bet! And we are still gonna try eventually to have another kitty

It’s such a joy to see FB Leo in such good health. We know you must be a little worried about his transition to NDD. After all, you and your Mom & Dad worked so hard to help Leo find a reason to eat, a reason to live. Hopefully Dad Dave will have a bit of extra time to spend bonding with Leo in the very beginning. We are purring and praying that both Mary and Leo. Like all of us, they deserve to be loved and cherished.

NDD works from home 4 days a week so he will have lots of time to be with Leo. And Leo will finally have a whole house to wander around and explore. Not too big, but just right for Leo and NDD.

YES!!!! Isn’t it pawsome!! And Mom will contact Mummy Janey ’bout writing more about Sydney. And, I cannot comment on your bloggy when we visit every morning using my iPad. IPad freezes when the final screen opens, so does my iPhone. Can you change how we leave comments? Others using Blogger have an iPad friendly comment setting. Thank you, Savvy

We sure are going to miss Leo, but are so happy he’ll be in a forever home and you can get back to being the queen of the household. By the way, you made excellent decisions on how to use the money.

Savvy, what a dear bloggie. I enjoyed hearing about MJ’s progress and how she is right now and certainly seeing Leo again. You and your family are dear people and mommy and I will always remember your kindness to a kitty in need.

That’s such a great update on you Savvy FB Leo and the delightful MJ..and I agree with Zena it is sad to see her in such a big room by herself..but baby paw steps and as long as her health is improving that is the main thing! Soon FB Leo will be with NDD and you will be free range at home on the range where the deer and the Svvy play!

Hi Savvy….thanks so much for the updates on ALL of you…..Really happy to hear that MJ is doing well on her medical care and she sounds like a really sweet kitty so it’s just a matter of time before that forever home comes her way! Mom and I think Leo is a most handsome cat and I hope his adjustment to another new home goes very smoothly and happily ever after-ey!! As for you pretty girl, it won’t be long before you don’t have to look over your shoulder anymore to see if Leo is about because he won’t be……and you’ll have even MORE to be thankful for!

Thank you Sammy for such nice words. We are worried about MJ as they are looking into any kidney damage, she is only 9 months old which is young to have diabetes and there are four types of feline diabetes so we will know over weekend which she has…wringing paws with worry for precious Mary
Glad MJ is doing well, but so sad to see her in that big room by herself looking as if she wished her furrever home was going to walk in through the door.
Really hope we find someone to cuddle her soon.
